  1. I think there are two camps left when it comes to CJS: people who want him gone immediately no matter the cost and those that assume we can't afford to fire him financially so we are coping with what we have. I guess the question back would be, if we could afford to fire him why hasn't it happened yet?
  2. Oh I meant recruiting with an interim for this year. They could pull a random fan from the stands each game and have the same results on the field.
  3. When you're losing, everything sounds like an excuse, no matter how innocuous. Even him mentioning the 17-17 score in the 3rd quarter felt weird though he was simply stating a fact.
  4. What can he even say at this point? It's almost cruel he has to do press conferences
  5. That's true but it could somehow be worse if we only had an interim I think
  6. I think the honest answer to your question is financial. Schools normally fire coaches early because they can afford to replace them. Jeff Scott is getting paid whether he is here or not. If he is not here, do we have the money to pay him for another year and another head coach? If the answer is 'No' then you have to keep him and hope he can salvage a recruiting class. If you fire him and you don't have anybody to replace him, I can't imagine anyone wanting to come here to play until it's sorted out.
  7. I think this is as low as it gets for fans since there really is no expectation to win and some people still show up. But I get the sentiment. I do worry about recruiting since we aren't making waves their either.
  8. It's going to be hard to choose between him, Urban Meyer, or Deion Sanders
  9. Ditching Scott is possible. I cannot fathom a scenario where Leavitt comes back. It would be fun and reenergizing but would never happen after how he left. Right?
  10. I'm beginning to believe the only reason they are keeping him around is to upset Outlaw
  11. Honestly, you could predict any score and I could be convinced of it's plausibility.
  12. What the hell happened the last ten years? Rhetorically of course.
  13. JPP was looking great yesterday too. It's a USF (pro) weekend.
  14. I do want to point out that I haven't seen a single person say they approve of the work CJS done. Basically, it's a scale rated from 'dislikes what has happened' to 'shoot this bum into the sun'. We are all varying degrees of disappointed.
  15. That could be it or maybe another team was able to stop them
  16. I looked up the plays per game and you are right. Louisville and ECU are ranked 39th and 40th. Cincy is 76th and Florida is 122nd. BYU is the outlier at 118th. https://www.teamrankings.com/college-football/stat/plays-per-game
  17. As soon as he turns to throw, the defense follows. I wish I hadn't watched this now
  18. In a vacuum, the game yesterday was prototypical of USF even when we were winning: playing a Top 25 team close with a chance to win at the end. Some we won, some we lost. I think yesterday and the Florida game felt closer to what we've always been. But yeah the Louisville, ECU, and BYU games happened and I don't think anyone is happy with that.
  19. I thought this was the best post and one that I can think of a few people here might have said: 'Unacceptable. “Down to the studs” of which we are woefully short.'
  20. Well Notre Dame won so I'll go see how Oklahoma message boards are holding up...
