  1. I'm guessing if you stand for more than 10-15 seconds in those areas someone tells you to sit down too.
  2. Apparently we can will it into existence the more we keep saying it's going to happen. And if it ever happened, wouldn't it just be the American Conference 2.0 because all the premier schools moved on to other conferences?
  3. I sat in the 300 section and online, it said the area around me was all sold but at game time, my entire row was empty and I had room in front and back of me too. It might have been the brokers buying up tickets thinking there would be a demand and then there wasn't, so the tickets were sold, but not to actual people who would come to the game.
  4. I imagine the Marketing guy searching around in a darkened backroom sifting through logos of teams who never sniffed the top 25 and then he sees it, over in the corner, with a green and gold glow to it and levitating 3 feet off the ground, the USF logo.
  5. Memphis is starting to heat up. They are the only one that scares me going into the conference tournament. Hopefully someone else knocks them off in one of the earlier rounds. They've had the talent, but now starting to play like a team.
  6. Yeah, it stinks to go on ticketmaster and have to pay the extra resale fees when someone resells their ticket compared to just the convenience fee you'd pay if it was a straight buy.
  7. It will be a showdown at the end, we'll be walking a tightrope, so hold on tight! We'll definitely need some strange magic.
  8. yeah, would be nice to have fan support at all of the remaining games, no matter the opponent....
  9. We moved up, 32 AP / 29 coaches.... I even did a thread refresh and no new posts before I posted this....
  10. I was entertained by the one fan who was told to stop by TPD and took off running like he was going to outrun the police in a closed off arena.
  11. It's funny in a not so funny way. In the past, a college player didn't hire an agent unless they were thinking about going pro. Now, they can hire a company owned / run by an agent to get them the best NIL deal while still in college.
  12. I agree that all programs have this problem, but a G5 school probably has a more difficult time replacing that star QB that left for greener pastures as opposed to Ohio State who just grabs the next 5 star QB off their bench. I think the fact that he hired a company to search out the best NIL deals for him which we all know won't be from USF, is a big clue that he will be moving on. If he was happy with what he's getting now from Fowler Ave Collective, he wouldn't be looking elsewhere.
  13. Yes, we should be concerned. It's the equivalence to hiring an agent in pro sports. Drew Rosenhaus will be shopping his client around for the best NIL deal he can get. Byrum wouldn't be hiring this guy if he wasn't serious about moving somewhere else for the money.
  14. It might help in voter perception if we aren't down by 10-15 at half time. We need to start playing complete games.
  15. At least we're trending in the right direction....just keep winning....
  16. Funny seeing Memphis with 1 more vote than us in the AP after us beating them and then them losing a few more.
  17. I was kind of surprised when I bought mine that they were sideline for $10, no matter what level, usually sideline is more expensive than the ends.
  18. Agree completely. This was supposed to be a re-building year and I think coach has said a few times he didn't expect them to gel so quickly. With most of the team back next year and a stronger OOC schedule, as long as we win, we should be in good shape for a tournament spot.
  19. I think the biggest difference in your example is Gonzaga's non-conference schedule (SOS 64) is a lot better than USF's (SOS 168). Them losing 4 out of conference games doesn't look as bad as our 4 out of conference losses.
  20. USF Basketball has jaded me so much over the last few years, I turned it off at the half down by 20. I'm kicking myself for not sticking with it.
  21. yeah and if he gets them to the NCAA tournament, I'm sure it would be turned into a feel good story, they took a chance on him, he's trying to turn his life around narrative. Unless it goes horribly wrong, at the end of the day, the only thing people will care about is success.
