You can thank Pete Caroll, ex-New England Patriots head coach, for all that success.

Wherever members or coaches of Boston teams go, success follows.

except in the eyes of the Bullwriter rankings... who say Cal is better than USC, despite undeafeated USC beating Cal.

;)

In the words of immortal Smazza, numbers don't lie.

Hey, don't forget the BullWiter rankings had a 1-win Temple smoking Syracuse this week.

that is an impressive prediction... i never would have guessed that... but your predictions for cal/usc looks like a bug in the formula.  If they hadn't played yet, i'd say perhaps it could work out that way, but not with a head to head loss for cal.  Does the Pac 10 have a tournament?  if so, we may still see the matchup again

My system takes into account total performance, not just single game matchups.  Cal and USC play the same Pac-10 schedule, no?  According to my rankings, Cal just had an off day when they lost to USC.

If USC was a better team, they'd put up better numbers on the common opponents.  We shall see....  ;D

I stand firmly behind the Patented and Always Interesting BullWriter Rankings!

LOL, Cal has been less successful in the pac 10, even though they've put up better #'s.  I'd rather have a W and 200 yds offense than an L and 2000 yds offense.  It appears W's are weighted far less than stats in your system.  Cal may have had an off day, but USC is winning and there is no logical way to say Cal should be ranked ahead of them.  We'll see how it plays out... but its not looking good for the inaugural Bull writer rankings to become an official computer poll.  ;)

It is always interesting, for sure.

BullWriter Rankings triumph again.

In the upcoming edition (Week of 11/15), USC takes over the top spot.  Cal falls to third behind Auburn.

LOL... much better, but what changed?  Cal didn't lose... how did Cal gain that much ground? and how did USC gain that much just based on this one week without a los for either.

Cal let up a ton of yards, dropping them in the defensive rankings.   They went from 5O/13D to 5O/17D.

USC went from 28O/6D to 15O/6D.
