If they hadn't played yet, i'd say perhaps it could work out that way, but not with a head to head loss for cal. Does the Pac 10 have a tournament? if so, we may still see the matchup again

Cal and USC play the same Pac-10 schedule, no? According to my rankings, Cal just had an off day when they lost to USC.If USC was a better team, they'd put up better numbers on the common opponents. We shall see.... ;DI stand firmly behind the Patented and Always Interesting BullWriter Rankings!

I'd rather have a W and 200 yds offense than an L and 2000 yds offense. It appears W's are weighted far less than stats in your system. Cal may have had an off day, but USC is winning and there is no logical way to say Cal should be ranked ahead of them. We'll see how it plays out... but its not looking good for the inaugural Bull writer rankings to become an official computer poll. It is always interesting, for sure. Cal didn't lose... how did Cal gain that much ground? and how did USC gain that much just based on this one week without a los for either.

They went from 5O/13D to 5O/17D.USC went from 28O/6D to 15O/6D.
