  1. How bad are they on enforcing the size of canopies? I'd like to bring my 12x12 but I saw they said 10x10.
  2. Got a question about the pass lots. If you have your pass do you get in the lot early? I thought I saw some in the r ene Wal packet in January but can't remember.
  3. Lexington dip BBQ sauce made....check Pork rub made...check Tailgate gear accounted for and ready for use, now the next 10 days need to hurry up!
  4. I might do a hickory smoked pork shoulder with homemade western carolina style BBQ sauce on the side. at the house, then let it rest in route to the stadium. Got to do hot dogs and burgers for the younger ones in my group.
  5. I agree wholeheartedly. I think of building an OCS to be like having kids. If you wait until your are financially ready, it will never happen. As a program we are ready, or as ready as we will ever be.It would be nice to wait for the finances to be there, but that day may never come. If the incurred debt is managed in a smart manner, we would be alright. There are also some costs that would be eliminated, such as transportation since everything would be on campus.
  6. Thanks for the advice everyone. We ended up decidong to wait a year, which is good since I wanted to make it to thw home games this season. We' re going up in June to scout around Charlotte, Raleigh, Asheville, and Winston - Salem. Ideally, I'll find am acre or two and then build our house that way. I can really go either way on where to live since I love each area. Ought to be interesting to see what she thinks.
  7. Yeah, Fayetteville is a no go for me. I lived there from 10 - 17, and honestly, I'm lucky I made it out in one piece. Not a place I'm sure I even want to take my wife and daughters to show where I grew up. However, I did love Ft. Bragg. I lived across the street from the back end of post, which made life interesting. What's the job market like in Winston-Salem, since I have an odd feeling I'll be looking for new employment.
  8. Indeed that's why I prefer to go to NC given the choice. Already a pain to coordinate stuff being here in Tampa and not on vacation.
  9. Ive given Asheville some thought need to look at job market if I end up not being able to telecommute/ transfer depts
  10. I like Charlotte too, but Raleigh isnt too bad. So far for housing, my wife seems to be digging Clayton and Angier. I'm not as sold on Angier, since I grew up in Fayetteville and that's a bit too close for my liking with the kids to consider. My main thing is making sure I can secure employment that can support the family, so I can't go too far out. Otherwise, I end up missing out on time with the kids.
  11. NC is where I spent the most time during my childhood/ teen years, so its more home to me. We originally considered Atlanta, but there's too much competition for my wife's business as a portait photographer. For employment, ideally I'll telecommute, but depenfs on the conversation with the boss after he gets back from vacation next week. Otherwise I'll look to transfer departments if I can. In that scenario, I'll have to be around Raleigh.
  12. My wife and I talked last night, and made a decision to relocate this summer to either NC or TN. She likes the idea of Raleigh area, or possibly Charlotte if we go to NC. I used to live in Fayetteville when I was in High School. Anyone from that area that can give some advice on a good area to live and raise our little Bulls?
  13. I was almost ready to leave and the clouds ripped open. Based on the weather here in Wesley Chapel, I'm not going. Is it bad by the school?
  14. I ended up doing the Bulls Club tailgate, but also am going to tailgate beforehand in the lot.
  15. I taljed with John Lewis aboutit. They arent sure of the parking areas yet. Having not tailgated on campus in a LONG time, wasnt sure about whether to bother with the grill and booze. All I know is that we can and they should have everything posted hopefully soon.
  16. Probably a dumb question, but I was wondering if there is normally any tailgating at the Spring Game. I haven't had the chance to go before, but will this year, and want to plan my day accordingly.
  17. Indeed. Even with the coachspeak, there were times where CWT gave some not so subtle indicators that there was going to be pain. If the returners on the O-line are not doing what they need to do, it's time to shake things up there. If the freshmen receivers can provide a threat, the running game should function well. It all hinges on the line givibg the QB enough time, which was lacking last year in many cases. Lookibg at the schedule, I'm hoping we at least get 4 conference wins. At this point, I want to see improvement. No matter what, I'll still be there supporting this program, and expanding my ticket count when the kids are ready to see a game.
  18. I have optimism if for nothing else, looking at what is coming from the S&C coach. Makes me wonder how we ever competed under Holtz, if they had to teach how to properly lift when they started workouts last year. I think the spring game will give a basic idea of where we have gotten to.
  19. Hem, you could also use tax act online if your return is not complex. You can file for free on federal returns and it uses the same backend as other programs. This year I'm stuck going to someone as the wife started her own business. But after I see what they do I plan on going back to using it.
  20. I tend to agree here. Something else that I keep thinking about is something one of my coworkers said as it relates to how we are smaller in prestige compared to UF. We are young. Schools like UF and FSU have been playing a lot longer, and also get kids who want to play where their folks went to school or even played. USF's first batch of players might have kids who are almost at that age to start coming in. I think in a few years we'll start seeing that group, IF they are good enough. The economy hasn't helped with fans, nor has the apparent lack of marketing. As for losing, I hope this year begins the rise.I feel that CWT is the man to do it, and hope this year is it. I'm very confident for the season after however since we should have tons of guys with a year in the system. Patience, while difficult, is key.
  21. Same here. Renewed in January, and was able to start my donations. 114 row J
  22. They'll have to shut down before I give up. In fact, despite this season's record, I'm going to become a donor for next year and beyond.
  23. Thanks Mike! This year was definitely up and down. Met some great people, finally got off my backside to get the tickets, saw a lot of struggle. Overall, I think we get through this down period in the next season or two, and am glad I'm in a position to give a little back to the school in some way. No matter what, I have been a Bull through and through and always will be. Hope to see some of you at the games next season!
  24. Thanks for the advice! I'll have to check out seating maps. Lot 8 was fun since I got the early to get a good spot, but looking to see what 6 and 6D have- That whole meet new people since my kids arent quite ready and the wife doesnt do the football thing. Trying to get my friend to pick up tickets so we can expand the tailgate, but interested in find my fellow posters on thebullspen to tailgate with and enjoy talking about the program over beer and good food.
