  1. Fun fact, Western Kentucky has never beat us when Willie Taggart wasn't involved in the game.
  2. Yeah I was just kidding, but the point for UConn was why travel far away for opponents that don't excite us. Not that the Big 12 is perfect, but the brands of the members are certainly a step above the AAC.
  3. While that is a good point. There is a big difference between flying to Oklahoma to play Ok State vs. flying to Oklahoma to play Tulsa.
  4. RIght, I wasn't saying new logos, but a change in branding. Getting away from USF. Getting away from the font that spelled Bulls in the endzone. Not putting the U logo as part of USF any more. Sorry if I wasn't clear, not new logos, just new standards on what we call ourselves and how the logos are used.
  5. Just for the record, I don't have inside into saying these logos are the new look. Just makes sense, since I heard new branding coming. So, I am making an assumption.
  6. You sure you are talking about the right player, Anthony Collins, not David Collins?
  7. Brad you have no idea what you uncovered. This is more than a t-shirt gun. I had heard new branding was coming out, and this is an example of what we are going to see everywhere. No more USF. U logo no longer allowed to be used as part of USF. It now stands alone and we are South Florida. (I've been here long enough to have seen it swap back and forth about 6 times)
  8. Criminal - No MBB at Tulane. No MBB at FAU. No WBB at FAU.
  9. FYI - Orioles are home that weekend, last weekend of the year, tickets won't be cheap unless Baltimore blows up in and the games are meaningless.
  10. So - this is the interesting part. Where she was before USF, her and her husband were co-head coaches. At USF she was head coach, husband was assistant. I wonder if he might be willing to stay as head coach. Since both will be in the same city, it doesn't mess up family location.
  11. I'm not really any help, I'm too far out of the loop. John can either help, or get people connected to the right people. I will say this, if you have football tickets, the person who is your rep is also your rep for basketball, so ask them, they will all be glad to help. I also want to say one trap fans have in all sports, they get drawn to the biggest opponents, then it feels like they never see USF win. Putting aside football's bad run the last few years, USF wins a decent percentage of their games across the board in all sports. But if you only come to games when we play top 5 opponents, you may think we never win. I just want people who want to try basketball to understand that it might be best to mix in different types of games. (not directed specifically to the post before yours, but just in general)
  12. Leavitt got him fired at the Trib, which lead to McMurphy getting Leavitt fired. Everyone lost.
  13. The one on the right might be the very first one, if not it is close. I need to look up what year Greg Morgan was SG Pres, it started in his term.
  14. Wasn't meant as rebuttal, just more info for anyone curious. My bad if the tone was not properly expressed.
  15. So, as the "money" person involved in the Our Shirts the last 6 or 7 years, I can tell you there are razor thin margins, as the shirt really isn't designed with profit in mind. We ask students to submit a design for front and back, we add the Our Shirt logo to the sleeve (one year it was on the chest, but most years on the sleeve). One of the things I do is make sure we don't use too many colors in the print, to be able to keep the cost low. The sleeve is always a 1 color imprint, and I try to keep the front to 3 colors and the back to 2. But the dark green shirt can act as an extra color by having spaces where the shirt shows through in the design. The bookstore sells them for no profit, they simply return the money to SG. They do this to drive business in their doors, as most people buy other stuff too. SG does give some away. so when the price point was $5, I tried to keep the cost under $4.50. This year the cost crept over $5, so we bumped to $6, with the hope we can leave it at $6 for a while before having to bump it again. The goal is for the program to pay for itself, but profit really isn't a concern. It is meant to build school spirit on campus and be a service to students.
  16. I can assure you "our" includes: they, them and who dat. In all seriousness, they become a bond for students and really help put a lot more USF gear on campus. Quality of the shirt is solid. All name brands (Haynes, Gildan, Fruit of the Loom)
  17. What is going to be interesting. At rich SEC schools, can NIL be more lucrative than being a 11th round or higher pick. We all know most NIL money isn't going to baseball, but the LSU's of the world might be able to pay kids to stay (or come in the case of high school recruits)
  18. Design comes mostly from students, a committee narrows it down to 2 or 3 selections, then students vote on the one that is produced. We got stuck with a lot of them in the Covid year, but since then, they seem to sell out every year.
  19. I know this thread is destined to be moved, but I am going to start it in the main board and allow moderation to move as needed. Exciting news!!!! The new Our Shirts are for sale at the USF Bookstore. They are only sold in person, they are meant for USF students (the Our in their name is referring to students), but anyone can buy them.Inflation got us, as they had their first price increase in the programs history, they are now $6 each. All three campuses should have them on sale, but I can confirm Tampa.Size range YL to 5XL.
  20. I was just going to say this. When i was in my 20s - the clubhouse at the claw was the popular night life spot around campus. Live music, cheap beer, good food. There would be hundreds there every night. I think Wednesday's were $2 pitcher nights.
  21. I think they dropped it, it was hurting their brand, because they couldn't play the colorful version fans wanted in the summer league. Now just Banana Ball.
