  1. It almost had me in tears honestly. It goes way beyond any rivalry. As a father, to see that happen to any kid...it’s just sad and was hard to watch. He is a helluva player and by all accounts a good kid. I wish him nothing but the best and hope he can play again. What a shame.
  2. You guys NAILED IT! Exactly 50% Jeff Spicoli and 50% Harry Dunne! LMAO
  3. Classic responses....guys literally say “I’m not reading it”’ then ask why we need each other. I’m generally not a fan of Tom Jones, but it’s actually a good article that makes sense. It’s people like these guys that epitomize the problem with USF fans. Keep putting your head in the sand and ignoring obvious truths. I just hope that the powers that be at USF aren’t as short sighted and ignorant as many of the “fans” on this board.
  4. Agreed. Exploiting the deaths of young men in a thread about programs and stadiums is shameful and pretty disgusting.
  5. Keep dreaming, it will surely come true. By the way, if the program gets “destroyed” it won’t be because we are in the AAC.
  6. You know who else nobody cares about? The doormats of the P5. The AAC is the conference that we are in. It’s better to win it than to not win it. We can’t win any other conference. Let’s take care of our business in the AAC first.
  7. My point is that it’s embarrassing (or at least it should be) to bash UCF’s accomplishments in football. It’s based out of insecurity. They’ve won and we haven’t. Give credit where credit is due and then do our best to beat them. The false arrogance displayed is pretty weak. I am a USF alumnus and I’m very proud of my degree and the university that I attended. I received a great education and earned my degrees. However, last time I checked this is an “athletics” board, not a scholastics board.
  8. What should USF be proud of? We have neither of the things you mentioned.
  9. Those big wins against marquee programs were great. They were fun and “put us on the map”. The problem is since we’ve been on the map, we haven’t done ****. We can’t win this crappy conference you are so quick to bash. It’s really pathetic to talk about what happened years ago in a few instances. It’s the old dude bragging about high school and little league accomplishments. We live in a results driven world. We haven’t won ****. UCF has won the conferences they’ve been in. Period. They have gotten better, we have gotten worse. Period. That invite to the better conference that you so covet, you know who would get it if the decision was made today??? My money is on them. The program with excitement, OCS and titles. Keep on remembering that Auburn game from 11 years ago dude. The rest of the world pays attention to winners.
  10. Enough with the “link” nonsense. Jessica Alba is hot. Most would agree...I’m not going to spend hours finding out scientific evidence as to why she is hot.
  11. Some things in life are just obvious, and USF needing an OCS to develop more excitement and tradition is one of them. Anyone who says otherwise has some ulterior motive and I just don’t get it. The whole “it’s all about winning” is total bunk. Every single year in college football it’s Alabama and everyone else. Ask Cubs fans how much winning added to the game day experience up until recently. And no, before someone takes easy bait, make no mistake. I want to win and see the program build a winning tradition. The whole “it’s about the conference” we are in is nonsense too. There is a ton of excitement all over the country at schools outside of the P5. There is also tradition at schools within the P5 that have zero legitimate chance at a National Championship or even Conference Championship year in most years. There is no excitement on campus. Listen to the guy that posted up that has 2 students at USF now. His kids are telling him as much. Ray Jay is not our house, it never was and it never will be. The college campus is a special place. It is a place that alumni want to go back to and show their kids. It’s a place those kids aspire to go to one day to get their education. It’s a place some of those kids may be a 4-5 star athletes. It’s all of those things and more. The idea that attendance and building tradition is ONLY winning and conference is just wrong. Period. I believe the people that are still clinging to this argument know it’s wrong too.
  12. I’ll translate it. He said, “They have excitement because they’ve earned it and they’ve made an effort to generate excitement. UCF has made a commitment to their program by building an OCS amongst other things. I can’t completely sell out my own program, but it’s pretty obvious UCF has done a much better job than USF has done.”
  13. Every school except USF can do it. We are the poorest university in the country and normal rules don’t apply to us. A red seated stadium with a pirate ship in the end zone that’s 20 minutes off campus is the ultimate college experience. You know that! Other schools want to emulate US. Rumor has it, and this is just a rumor of course....but I heard that UF is going to blow up the Swamp and build a newer stadium in Ocala. It’s going to have full liquor, a killer club level, a massive Jumbotron and multi-colored seats. It’s going to be awesome!
  14. This is 100% true. Heupel was smart enough to not try to fix what wasn’t broken. Slowing down the offense was the beginning of the end for us. I have been in the keep Strong camp...now I’m swaying. Our brand of football is boring. The team just has an overall lack of excitement and enthusiasm. I don’t see excitement when we do things well and I don’t see any anger or emotion when we don’t. It’s boring and frustrating.
  15. This is absurd. If USF was doing what UCF is doing you’d never say these things. Give credit where credit is due. Aren't you one of the many that’s still clinging to a 2007 win against West Virginia?
  16. I’ve been in the keep Coach Strong camp, but I’ve become very frustrated. I can’t stand passionless leaders. Belichek will be the last of that dying breed. And obviously CCS is no Belichek. Leaders need to lead. Leaders need to be passionate to inspire loyalty and dedication. I’ve never seen joy or anger in CCS. He is not an inspirational leader. He can recruit, no doubt about it. But the game has changed. Talent alone isn’t enough anymore. Young men, now more than ever need to be lead. They need to be inspired. The days of the stoic head coach are gone.....Maybe that means CCS needs to move on.
  17. Sales rule #1...find something in common and expand on it. Boobs are wonderful, totally agree
  18. Agreed. An OCS won’t win individual games, but it will help build the program. In business, in sports, in life....there is no neutral. You’re either getting better or you’re getting worse. UCF is getting better....USF??
  19. We?? It’s not my problem. If WE want to matter THEY (USF) will figure it out. If not....YOU will continue to relive one game in 2007.
  20. The Britney smack is solid dude. You are a funny dude True. I laugh at your stuff on the regular and I actually enjoy the spar with you. We both love the Bulls, we both know I’m right and the world will still keep turning.
  21. There’s the substance-less snark everyone’s come to expect.
