  1. That might be how NCSU has 21k votes. It wouldn't be too difficult to create a script to create email accounts and vote.
  2. Yes. The interior looks much better now. Looking at the 5-year plan, I saw that even more renovations are set to begin on Cooper in a couple years. FAH is also receiving funds for renovations. Unless someone has done something about it since I saw the report, it currently has asbestos. What else will they be rennovating? And thank God. That building desperately needs help. Its all listed on the PDF that I previously posted. There's 20 million in Poly projects that should be reallocated to other projects too. http://usfweb2.usf.edu/FacilitiesPlan/Campus%20Planning/BOG%20CIP2-2012-13.pdf

  4. They have/had the best computer science program in the state. This topic has been the main talking point "around the watercooler" this morning at work as we are all computer science grads. I hate to say this, but this opens the door for UCF to be the best at something.
  5. He wore the same hat at a 7 on 7 when he was commited to us. I'm guessing its the symbol for his school's mascot (wildcats)
  6. Cooper is old, dirty and smells like ass 24/7. Library is nice outside but dated and rundown inside. Actually Cooper is old, but is not dirty, and smells like Subway 24/7. Math and Physics building looked like **** but they recently landscaped (gasp!) the exterior and it actually looks nice. Ugliest and shittiest building on campus is Life Science. I have a class in there this semester and it makes me depressed. I collaborated with a Physics professor a couple years ago. He told me that after the new interdisciplinary sciences building was built, the plan was to demolish the current Physics building and build a new building closer to the road. He also mentioned something about a bridge connecting the library and this new building. I can only assume that the current budget cuts have set this plan back a couple of years. Edit: After looking at the Capital Improvement Plan, I see that PHY is getting 16 million dollars in renovations over the next 3 years. Looks like the building isn't going anywhere for a while. http://usfweb2.usf.edu/FacilitiesPlan/Campus%20Planning/BOG%20CIP2-2012-13.pdf
  7. Umm, thanks for making Vega's point? I wanted to say the same thing, but Gus did some good things for us. Boneheaded plays stick with us more than the good ones.
  8. Why shouldn't the athletics district have its own identity? And from my time on campus, there really isn't much in terms of complaints about the look of the buildings other than the original buildings need serious renovations. Maybe the several students that you spoke to were all architecture students. That is a small subset of the university population.
  9. What are you talking about? The entire athletics district is beautiful. All of the facilities follow a specific theme. I will give you the topiary bull, but all of your other examples were well done projects, in my opinion.
  10. I haven't seen one floating around. It seemed like we had a large group at the GG Bowl last weekend, so maybe there won't be as many attendees this weekend.
  11. They had to do it on the cheap,,, anything nicer would have overshadowed the BHNFP. I think they overshadowed BHNFP with this...
  12. In my opinion, this rendering completely conflicts with the purpose of an indoor practice facility and I hope money isn't wasted on this. We need a completely enclosed facility to continue practices when there is lightning and terrential down pours. I hope you're kidding. A portion of the roof is removed in the rendering to show the interior.
  13. From what I heard from a couple fans at the green and gold bowl, they should put a stadium in the place of the soccer stadium...
  14. Not really solid....it has a corrugated metal exterior with exposed insulation interior....much like their WOK, it was done on the cheap to just get it out there. The one in the USF illustrations would be another tilt-wall design, similar to Muma center and will look much better. This! UCiF's facility is CHEAP. Even the AC system doesn't work right... it's been given the nickname "The Oven." Isn't this where Plancher's cousin died? Yep. That is exactly what comes to mind everytime I hear about UCF's practice facility.
  15. Why is there a Beef Stud on the wall? Do they EVER paint up for basketball games? There were a couple that painted up in games I went to in 2010. Don't remember seeing them any other times
  16. Piecemeal is what I call our offense.
  17. According to NPR, he hasn't signed the USF Poly legislation. He has until Saturday to make a decision.
  18. Same here... We had ours done there as well. I especially liked the pics that we took around the MLK Fountain.
  19. The raffle is for all football season ticket holders. Both renewals and new season ticket holders have been entered for the raffle. I spoke to one of the tickets reps at the Green and Gold Bowl
  20. You obviously haven't seen too much of Andre Davis That would be because his breakout year will be 2012. not the 22 catches he had last year. Still won't hurt to have another big guy in the pipeline. I agree. I think he has already become BJ's favorite target. How can you not like a guy that can come down with the ball when he has defenders all over him?

  22. Loved seeing more than half of the basketball team at the GGBowl! They were receiving quite a bit of praise from people passing by. Completely different than the time I ran into several of them after a soccer game.
  23. If you posted on any other threads, you would see a lengthy thread on this...
  24. "Done" It will be safe to go in and comfortable for graduation, but it will not be 100% complete. They will still have painting, landscaping, interior graphics, and other things to complete that are not necessary for graduation (finishing the lockerrooms, furnishing the operations office, etc) I believe there is a ribbon cutting ceremony before graduation. I think it will be 100%
  25. Agree Should have painted it the same color as the walls.... or the green color used for the trim. They couldn't paint it because of the material it's made of ... dye it... theres a solution somewhere. I'm sure there is as soon as someone opens their checkbook and writes a number with 6 zeros behind it. Do those zeros include the 2 decimal places? I might be willing to pay for that
