  1. Where has it been said he was bankrupt? He surrendured the home to avoid a forclosure...... "Less than a year after he announced his retirement from the NFL, Culpepper was forced to surrender his south Florida home instead of foreclosure back in April." Read more: http://pix11.com/2013/07/18/ex-nfl-star-daunte-culpepper-forecloses-on-his-3-6-million-fl-home/#ixzz2aYJ2Hb5E Must be a slow news day here...OK, back to complaining about the UCF coach....and calling him names......
  2. It will come down to the "D" for UCF. No "D", no glory. http://m.usatoday.com/article/news/2584833
  3. With no Government funding. You can scoff at O'Leary ( and a lot of the crticism is earned) , but thruth be told, he travelled the State of Florida almost non stop for a year to meet with Alums and UCF supporters to gain support for the projects. He was the driving force behind the funding.
  4. USF is the one game that UL will need to worry about.
  5. The cheapest organized tour, is for 4 days, 3 nights ( I think) and it is 1500.00 or so not including airfare. Airfare is another 1K, so if all 4 of my family goes..for the quick trip, that is a quick 10K. I am sure that making our plans ourself would save some money, but in these types of trips, I find it more fun to travel with fans... 6. PSU was not coming back to Orlando. This provided a better alternative. Replacing PSU, would have pushed UCF ( because of the short time to find a replacement) to consider a non Div1 replacement, and GOL has said, no more non Div 1 games of any kind. This is guaranteed income, more than a home game, more than the buyout. Plus, it may well publicized, give both schools a recruiting story...especially PSU due the the bowl ban. The uniqueness of the game, time, locatin, might be a Pub home run. Maybe...... I wish they would play in Orlando, as I am not likely to go..but I am stil considering it. I have always wanted to see Ireland....so thus wil probably be the best chance.
  7. It is weird.....I am not sure he even has an FSU offer anymore.....

  9. http://articles.orlandosentinel.com/2013-06-20/sports/os-mike-bianchi-aaron-hernandez-0621-20130620_1_aaron-hernandez-murder-probe-murder-investigation An excerpt: Hernandez was among four Gator football players questioned in a 2007 shooting incident in Gainesville. None of the players was arrested, but detectives questioned them about the shootings of Corey Smith and Justin Glass on the Sunday morning after Florida lost to Auburn in 2007. According to a Orlando Sentinel report at the time, police said Smith, 28, and Glass, 19, were driving around in traffic about 2:30 a.m. when a man began shooting into their car. Smith was critically wounded in the head while Glass was shot in the arm. Hernandez declined to discuss the case with reporters back then and was never charged with any crime. He is now in a civil suit over shooting a guy in Dade County. Urban protected him, even telling the press he was injured one time when he was under a drug violation suspension. He was enabled every step of the way.
  10. That made me laugh! I take back my free beer offer!
  11. UCF recently became the first Florida Uiversity chosen to lead a NASA satelllite mission: http://fsi.ucf.edu/gold-project-awarded-55-million-grant/ Kind of a unique honor.
  12. Good for her, read it a couple of days ago. She stayed home, did her hometown proud, and jumped to going Pro at the best time to maximize ($) her recent success. She is still getting faster...her top end may be staggering when she can train non stop.
  13. The conference is getting hammered by all the high brow journalists for the change, but in truth, the conference was hammered when this guy was the PR leader. Hammering the conference now, when the high brow journalists gave them no credit or help when he had the job, is just lame. The heck with these journalists. UL, or USF or UCF suceeding in Football, basketball ...preferrably USF or UCF since UL is leaving next year, would throw these guys over the edge and I would love every moment of their discomfort.
  14. The building of the "Blacktop". Deadspin article.......guess they did not like the FIU Court! http://deadspin.com/ucf-unveils-striking-new-black-stained-court-561184088?utm_campaign=socialflow_deadspin_twitter&utm_source=deadspin_twitter&utm_medium=socialflow
