This is the biggest challenge this offense will face all season. Drive the field to tie rank 10 Alabama in the 4th quarter. I hope their up for it!

If we don’t get into scoring position again we’re down 10-6… even more if they score again and it’s 13-6 or 17-6. we NEED a TD to win. Saban will run the clock out with ball control.

I’m really disappointed in that 4th down play call. What a wasted opportunity. That has to be the lowest probability play you can call. What gave them the confidence to believe that would work? Feels like we’re just throwing in the towel with a call like that.

That was a terrible call for this match up.

Our offensive performance is concerning. I would have expected us to get some points, more than a FG gifted to us from a dropped punt. I know Alabama’s defense is good, but our offense has been very underwhelming.

Alabama made adjustments for the blitz, and the one play we don’t rush, they’re QB has time and hits a deep pass.

None of deep shots have been to open receivers. We need to try something different to get some yards. I’m sure Alabama fans feel the same way. 3-3 in the 3rd quarter, what a game.

Modemr cameras aren’t remote controlled by now? I can get a person tracking camera on amazons for $100 but a multibillion dollar company and NFL stadium can’t get remote control?

This attitude is what makes them our rival. It’s meant to be. A true passionate rivalry with huge ratings. -
Hopefully the days where our QB could throw a cannon downfield on any given play returns. When we had some fast receivers and Daniels or Flowers we saw a lot more deep shots. For being a receiver specialists, Jeff Scott’s offense didn’t seem to have much talent, and we never had a serviceable QB.

Yep, they’ve certainly been trying to run. We haven’t been bullying their line in the match ups, we’ve instead been getting behind the line from edge rushes and making tackles. I’d expect Alabama to adjust at halftime to pick up the rush with blocks. we’ve had a handful of impressive all out blitzes though that forced the QBs hand. If we give their QB Time eventually they’ll hit their receivers. We’ve been fortunate their QBs passes have been inaccurate.

Our defense struggled with an accurate passer in WKU. We’re fortunate that Alabama doesn’t seem to have a good passer on the roster.

Our offense in the first two games got plenty of yards. We just don’t have the speed to match this defense. They just line up man coverage and our QB has few options. We’re left with short passes, and even with the gimme passes we can’t get yards after catch because their defense is there in an instant. We’ve had some success running, hopefully we have some creativity to break away from their defense because I don’t think we can do it with our receivers alone. Need misdirection, blocks, screens, etc. This is a game where the talent gap is really obvious and our options are limited as a result.

Yes, we had “Florida speed”. Taggart definitely had some fast players on his roster. Jeff Scott killed this team. We lost our speed guys to the portal this year.

They’re so fast, they just run us down before we get anywhere. And they take really good angles, well coached.

Their defense closes the gaps fast. All other talent and skills aside, they just have a raw speed advantage that makes it very difficult to scheme against.

Really don’t like RG3 saying teams like USF used to not be able to hang with Alabama. He clearly isn’t aware of USFs history of big upsets.
