  1. I think our receivers are a larger problem than the QB.
  2. I really wish they would ask more about what they learn, or what they change each week if they change anything. Golesh keeps referring to the process, but it’s a feedback loop. I’d to know what they take away each week to improve. They ask really dumb questions about how people feel, who cares. I want to know what they are doing to get better.
  3. He has a lot more ownership over the play calling and outcomes than most coaches. I think he is able to recognize he has to put players in a position to win, and doesn’t blame players when they weren’t set up for success, but if they were, he will hold the players accountable. Signs of a good leader.
  4. I think Golesh has some of that Leavitt fire that gets players to elevate their effort and focus. Some coaches have it, some don’t. Taggart had some fire in him too at times, but didn’t unlock it until he completely reworked the offense.
  5. Saban pacing the sideline in a close game is one of my favorite parts of college football. I’ll miss that when he retires. Glad USF got him flustered.
  6. I like how he answers stupid questions. It’s entertaining. Looking forward to him clowning the press again. I call this, the Post Game Pressure.
  7. The offense with fewer mistakes won today. Alabama is one of the most consistently disciplined teams in CFB and rarely gets beaten by their own mistakes. USF has a ways to go, the offsides on Alabama last possession being a prime example. We had some predictable play calls and bad QB decisions as well.
  8. We had two turnovers and held Alabama to 17. Props to the defense! We could have scored 9 if we took the field goals, but this offense needs work. Receivers need to step up. Maybe the coaches offensive plan was bad. Or maybe Saban just had our offense figured out from film on Golesh coached teams and game planned better.
  9. We had two turnovers and held Alabama to 17. Props to the defense!
  10. Our offense just didn’t have a good game plan and couldn’t move the ball. Sure we had a chance for 6 more points in two field goals we went for it instead, but the offense needs a TD. We can’t expect the defense to stop Alabama and for us to win with field goals.
  11. We didn’t fold. Alabama adjusted at half time and our defense has still been playing out of their mind.
  12. It’s about the fact the Bama QB can’t pass. WKU had no problem moving the ball.
  13. Props to the defense for keeping us in this. Our offense has a way to go. our receivers need a lot of practice.
  14. Maybe our defense gets an interception, idk. A turnover and short field feels like our only hope.
  15. Brown is letting the moment get the best of him and losing focus. He’s forced a number of deep balls that were all well covered. He needs to accept his teammates can’t get open deep.
  16. None of our deep throws have been to open receivers. Brown trying to force things that aren’t there.
  17. We need some more creativity on offense, but our talent is really lacking.
  18. Saban now playing ball control. eat up the clock. get another TD or field goal to be up by two possessions. game over. We have to force them to 3 and outs.
