    I believe the last time we were in this combo was the UTEP game last year. We wore them against Buttgers last year. Green jerseys on the road? Interesting. Nope....gold helmets, white jerseys, gold pants. By "them" i was referring to the gold pants alone, not the uniform combo.

    Just wait till we have gold helmets, jerseys, pants, socks, and cleats. Instead of the storm trooper look, it will be the C3PO look. Then you'll realize the gold, green, gold combo wasn't so bad.

    I posted this on the "travel" board. I'm in south florida and would love to go to this game. Looking for someone to ride up there with and i'll pay half of the gas. Also, I don't have a ticket yet, so hoping someone driving up has an extra i can buy, otherwise i'll get one on gousfbulls.com ...let me know.

    I'm wondering if anyone living in Dade or Broward is traveling up to the Rutgers game on Thursday 9/13. I'd really like to go but none of my friends want to go. I'll pay for half the gas so it might be a good way for you to save a little money. I don't have a ticket yet so it'd be cool if you had an extra one available i could buy. otherwise, i'll just buy 1 on "gousfbulls" ...I really didn't know how to go about this but I figured it was worth a try. (Not sure how many members of this board are in the miami/ft laud area.) Thank you.

    We were ranked last season. If I recall correctly, we jumped into the top 25 after beating Notre Dame. Then we won 3 more games before we played PITT. We were ranked like 14th-16th going into the PITT game where we lost 41-17 (?) and dropped out of the rankings.

    ranking DOES matter but I think many are just afraid it will affect the mindset of the team. by the way, LOL @ the rutgers fan playing our prediction contest. what prize should we send him if he wins??

    Nevada was better? I beg to differ. They were only better in the first quarter when our defense was having difficulty adjusting to the pistol offense. We were playing on the road with the altitude and everything against us yet still managed to pull out a win. USF had more yards, more points, and won the turnover battle. It doesn't matter WHEN you score your points within the 60 minutes, it only matters that you score. Nevada is an awesome team and very well should have won but they didn't do the things they needed to do at the end to win it, USF did. Regardless, it was an awesome game. We were just fortunate to be on the winning side of this type of game, for a change! Good Luck to the Wolf Pack though, wouldn't mind playing you all more often.

    i read somewhere that they had the same field turf from 2000 to 2010 when they switched it out for new field turf. it's pretty amazing that it can stay in good shape for 10 years.

    didn't someone say the team was beat up with the flu that week that had been spreading like wildfire? yes but I meant I'm a little worried something similar might happen because of the altitude. (the team just being gassed.) I'm hoping we have a good rotation to keep people fresh. has anyone heard if there will be oxygen tanks on the sidelines?

    not going to lie, i'm a little worried the players will get winded and worn out like they did at Pitt last year. Hopefully, our improved depth alleviates this problem.
