  1. My thoughts, too...he takes the snaps & get to the pocket while scanning, smoothly & quickly. Quick release. Lots to grow, but a good foundation.
  2. if he has to sit out 2013, hard to get excited. Change of gears...anyone know if Dunkley will play for USF in 2013?
  3. If Denson draws him, FSU. Man, would this guy look good in Green. ESPN 150 OT Kirkland loses Miami spot January, 31, 2013 Jan 31 10:01 PM ET By Corey Dowlar | ESPN.com All signs pointed towards ESPN 150 offensive tackle Denver Kirkland (Miami/Booker T. Washington) selecting Miami on Wednesday, but that won't be happening.
  4. In fairness...Tony Stark & I apparently hit "Post" at the same time. No exuse for DataBull [kidding...mostly]
  5. Likely the RB from WKU, as a grad student. Watch his film...wow.
  6. Brion Carnes is the QB. My understanding is he's playing sparingly at Nebraska, as a wide receiver. So it goes...
  7. Not common, but players do sometimes hold off their until after NSD just because they're not ready. Usually it's high profile guys, but that could be the case here. The word about the academics has been out for a while though Hope he doesn't read this...and right before his OV. I'm sure he know what his grades are and I kinda doubt he's coming this w/e now. I could be wrong though, it's happened a couple of times. Looks like a long shot, but a good potential. Not sure when the quite period begins (guessing Monday), but it'd be cool to know how may schollies we have...and predictions on who we'll get.
  8. not thrilled at him dumping us, but I'm happy with the class we've pulled together under Taggart...especially if we keep our commits, snag a few more late and get the WKU RB transfer.
  9. Greg Auman @gregauman 44m Oakland Park Northeast WR Stacy Coley, who has USF in his final options, will announce choice publicly Wednesday on ESPNU at 11:05 a.m.
  10. Not good, if true. Greg Auman @gregauman 1h Immokalee High DC Israel Gallegos says four-star CB Mackensie Alexander told him today he isn't making any more visits before deciding.

  12. Looks like, per Scout, Dayes confirmed his commitment to NC State.
  13. What about Fennell? You can infer from his HS coach that grades were an issue. Unless WKU offers something academically that USF doesn't.
  14. This would be a HUGE get. Only one year to give us a much needed spark, and allow the younger RBs to develop or redshirt. This would excellent. When would we know?
  15. Shades of Aycock? Maybe he'll have a change of heart if he starts missing the game. UF-Sit a year-Auburn-likely sit another year. Can't be fun...but he can still get his education paid for, so hopefully someone can convince him to focus on the bigger picture. Of course, if it' injuries, then that's just a shame. Best of luck in whatever he chooses.
  16. If I understand the 5 year rule, unless got a hardship waiver, he'd sit 2013, play 2014 & 2015. I really liked this guy coming out of HS, but knew we had no chance. Not sure what his struggles are, but if he clear Taggart, welcome aboard. Of course, we have to try to forget the last Auburn RB transfer, Aycock, who never saw the field [but ate a schollie, short time, I believe]
  17. And, Sean doesn't regret choosing USF, when he had his pick of schools. Agreed...Price is an up & comer, and a great spokesman for the program.
  18. that's funny...he does seem to have his hips outrun his shoulders when he's being chased. But it seems to work.
  19. I see similarities to what Strong is doing in Lville. If Taggart can keep the trend up, there's no reason we can't run the same course, and surpass...I think Tampa is a much better place to live/play than Lville. If we start to see the hot ramp up, we can sign a long term extension like Lville did with Strong. Taggart is a local. If he wins big, and gets us in a better conference, it'd make leaving for another school far less appealing.
  20. Completely agree. Hits the hole hard & fast, and seems to cut well. Very agressive [check out the take down, stiff arm early in the tape]. Could be a low key gem.
  21. Looks he commited on 1/20...along with a team mate. But if he's taking an official, he's likely interested.
  22. Maybe we can return the favor to Cincy and flip one of their commits. LOL http://cincinnati.scout.com/a.z?s=341&p=8&c=1&nid=5700042 Does this mean we think we're out of the running for Kemp, and Dayes? Woodley is likely still out there. Even tho' this kid is a 2 star, he looks strong, and put up good numbers in a tough area.
  23. Don't forget Willie. Video against the highest level of competition in GA Funny you say that...we do tend to forget. I went to the Vero scrimmage last year, and he looked as good as any back we had. Hasn't seen the field much, but he did run VERY hard when I saw him. I look forward to plenty of competition at RB...and a young group, too.
  24. Not much of a final weekend push. Wonder if that means we have the folks we want lined up, with back up plans at the ready. Looking forward to strong close, and hopefully pulling in some late surprises [and keeping the commits we have]. 6 more days...
  25. And folks were nice not only before the game but after the stunner too. Auburn fans were great. same thing at South Bend. Gracious hosts, and even in defeat, classy [unlike trips to UM, UCF and FIU]. Tally was OK...they were more upset with Bowden than us.
