I'd say KIrkland follows Thomas. If I had to pick, I'd say FSU, as Thomas seems to be leaning there, and Denson seems to be pulling Kirkland. If Kirkland goes to UM, it's likely due to location & a hard nudge from his step-dad. In 2 more days, we can quit guessing what high kids are thinking. Can't wait.

Scout says Valdes will pick from 5 schools, including USF. But, their site lists 5, with only Arkansas offering. Would not surprise me, but I think Thomas is headed to FSU, per the Palm Beach Post article today. Apparently Kirkland's step dad is a huge Canes fan, and may influence Kirkland. Don't like our chances, but Taggart has surprised me before...and may be able to convince Kirkland that Golden & Fischer are used car salesmen.

Cinci is an "Old industrial city" not very pretty and yes cold as He+++L. But then he was only planning to stay one year. Go Bulls the best laid plans... Jason Pierre Paul tranfered to USF to get playing time and it took him to the next level.. I think Wilder is making a mistake going to Cinci but that is just my opinion. Go Bulls fully agree. that's why I suggested Ron Cooper would be a much better choice to get him to the next level. Time will tell...hope Price trucks him next Fall, then Davis catches a fade TD to remind him he made a bad call. that said, he makes the best choice for him...no ill will.

This goes from a ok O-line class to one of the best with one pick up... Kirkland will more than likely make an impact this year if he comes to USF... Oh, and golden couldn't be bothered to show up for "make-up" meeting with Kirkland yesterday. UM is definitely out. Kirkland was at Ole Miss, I think...just a family meeting. Didn't hear anything, except Canes fans saying Kirkland will be at UM...then again, they're the most overconfident group I've ever seen.

I wouldn't give this nut material...Mayes committed. He'll come or he won't...but he'll live with the consequences, good or bad.

Tell Bullwinkle and SouthShore. DB I don't think Badet used our offer in an effort to gain better offers.... what I'm saying... and I think Bill is too... is this. Badet was offered by Holtz in an attempt to lock up AW... that's pretty well known. Bill is correct when he says that Badet was a relative unknown before he was offered by USF. He also played the same game at UK... UK offered him in an attempt to get AW.... hell UCLA just did the same thing last week. It's not like we were the only school that did it. I don't think Badet pushed for our offer in a blatant attempt to get a better offer.... I think his friendship with AW was a much bigger factor in his getting offers. That is a more understandable position, though I still disagree. While I understand that a school might take two guys at the same time, I highly doubt that UK and UCLA offered Badet hoping to get AW. I don't think they would get stuck with an inferior recruit on the off chance they could get a QB that some on here consider terrible. Also, while that is your position, there have been more than one person on here arguing that both AW and Badet are marginal recruits that only became big time recruits only because they committed to USF a few months ago. IF (big "IF") UCLA offered Badet a scholarship, do you REALLY think he'd have gotten an offer from UCLA? Those guys aren't searching more marginal 3 stars, 3000 miles away. My guess, assuming Badet was truthful, was that UCLA dangled something in front of Badet to try to get Woulard to commit. Once they didn't get the bite from AW, they backed away. This lines up with my guess he's headed to Clemson...but with the group of pals headed to UK, I wouldn't be surprised if AW went to UK. Their fans gushed over his Twitter FAR more than any other school, and I think that may be a thick enough hook to snag AW. I won't be tuning in to ESPN to watch the goofy hat trick, but will be looking forward to when the fax machines shut down for the day, and we can count our haul, and focus on spring practice.

Valdes is better, but I'm guessing he goes to NC Sate. UK has 3 WRs ranked ahead of Bidet in this class...he may wind up watching Kemp ascend, while he languishes. That said, no bitterness, as I think the Badet departure was mutual...we don't need him, like we'd need a Coley or Johnson.

Golden yielded to Luther Campbell and friends. Might be a tough road for Golden to see that he gets a ton of pressure from the UM "fan base". Musta sucked for him to have to circle back. Hope Kirkland realizes that its the selling phase now, and post-NSD, the treatment WILL change. Come to USF...start for 3-4 years.
