  1. That's good to know. Last time we were all there it pretty much was a third world soccer match though, and for most of us, it was our only time stepping foot on the UCF campus. Before the game there wasn't much confrontation, but after the game when USF won and UCF fans were leaving the stadium yelling "F*$k USF" it got real 3rd world. My group just headed for our car and didn't even look at any UCF fans, let alone talk to them. How that warrants a full beer being thrown at me, or a frying pan flying by a girl's head... I have no idea? So here's to hoping you're right!
  2. New replay boards aren't coming until around next year to 2015. Buddy that gave me the tickets to the Bucs game is a ticket rep there.
  3. I went to the first Bucs pre-season game and saw quite a few changes at Ray J actually. As far as the clear bags go, they have people at the crosswalks before getting up to the stadium with free clear bags to give to people who need them. They also were letting people know if their bags were too big. My g/f and her friend both had small purses that were arguably on the larger side of what is acceptable and they got in just fine. Beware of any parking lot attendants or anyone else telling you your bag is too big (it'll save you a trip back to your car), this guy was going off on us how we couldn't get in because their bags were too big, and we proved him wrong. As far as concessions go, they have souvenir size beers now as well as the previous size ones. Food portions seemed smaller than last year but just as expensive, and I'm not sure if they had combos before like you get at fast food restaurants, but they have them now. Overall the new bag policy wasn't so bad, granted it didn't affect me, and I didn't really see how it made getting into the stadium any quicker than usual.
  4. Preach it man. I've been saying the same thing for a while, but it falls on deaf ears. I see a similar Ville team this year. Yeah they beat up on UF, but UF wasn't that great last year. It's going to be fun when the media is wrong about Bridgewater and all of this. I'm a hater and i'm gonna hate.
  5. Haven't booked any plane tickets yet, but just booked a hotel room. All set up at the Howard Johnson in East Lansing, got it for the 6th through the 8th for $116 a night. It's a little farther from the bars and restaurants than the Gatehouse is, but it's only 1.1 miles away from Spartan Stadium. Thought i'd share in case anybody else was looking for anything a bit cheaper and just as close.
  6. Cowbells??? They are annoying enough at the Rays games. You might as well replace them with Vuvuzelas (the annoying horn things from the World Cup in Africa). I can see it now, some drunk a-hole ringing a cowbell in my ear all game. Top 5 is pathetic... I don't want to live in this world anymore.
  7. Florida QB John Brantley also had fumble issues over spring and into the beginning of fall during his first year starting. He was working under center more than before and got those issues fixed. Practice makes perfect. He wasn't that great of a QB, yet still made it onto an NFL roster. No reason to panic now. I'm sure many QB's have this issue at one point or another.
  8. Thoroughly enjoyed the part about him going up against A. Lynch every day during practice. If there is anyone who will make him better, it'll be Lynch.
  9. he will be running a completely different offense. it won't be centered around the QB having to do 90% of the work. now it will be centered around the running game(RBs) and TEs.it also won't be spread out, leaving only 5 guys to block. Floyd was a sitting duck last year. no adjustments made to max protect an inexperienced QB. qb touches ball on everyplay---without a good qb u dont go far in college That statement is just plain wrong... See any LSU team from the last 10 years. That school has great playmakers and an incredible defense, but their QB's have been horrendous!
  10. He's changed his mind twice, this time for a pretty good reason .... I've told you a million times, don't exaggerate things. Lol wasn't speaking solely about football, just about all of his tweets in general. Should've been more specific.
  11. How can you keep Hargreaves when we've had horrid special teams the last 2 seasons?
  12. And he had an almost identical record as Skip Holtz in his 3 years and that was in the SEC. What's your point?
  13. Plant LB/DE Mitchell Wright on USF, "I gave them my word and i'm excited to go there". Those are the kids I want representing my school, because I know they will always give 110%. AW is all over the place and like many said, changes his mind 50 times a day. Over it.
  14. Heck, hire TOB. Asiantii was looking at NCSt anyways. It's not like he was an awful coach, he won there and went to bowl games. In all seriousness though, I follow AW on Twitter and the kid is like a seesaw. Up and down all the time, because well... he's a kid. He does post a lot of nonsense to get attention though.
  15. That sounds like a recruiting violation for NC...and also USF, great. what does? Fans contacting him is a violation. See http://thebullspen.c...60#entry1103438 Boosters contacting him is a violation. Not all fans are boosters.
  16. tough to say who the flag was on. seemed like a dead ball penalty. motion? formation perhaps? maybe on us for illegal substitution? there is no way you should call a timeout in that situation to let offense get set though. even if they had scored on the sneak it's still stupid to give them time to set up a play. oh and to me the worst was when he coached not to lose. go for the 1st down and we can kneel 3 times and leave no time. I get running on 1st and 2nd downs but on 3rd and 9 you need to go for first down. first down guarantees a win. he likes to settle for Fgs when we get within 50 yards. he did it against temple too. even if we make them we leave them plenty of time to come down and score. he coaches "not to lose" instead of to win. Flag was going to be an illegal substitution. I sit at about the 10 yd line on that side of the field on the USF sideline, and Luke Sager was trying to run onto the field to get in the next play. Cuse decided to go with the hurry up, and we were forced to call a timeout because our coaches weren't prepared for such a scenario. But it's not stupid to call a timeout there if there is a penalty on the play. If they don't score what are you going to do? Take the penalty and allow them to move a bit closer and try again? I'd rather have our guys take a breather and at least get a chance to get a play call in... you give the offense a chance to get a breather and get a play call in. they were the ones running out of time. not sure what you mean about taking a penalty. the game would have been over if it were an offensive penalty. if it were a defensive penalty then they get half the distance and then they set the ball and start the clock. penalty yardage doesn't hurt us. stopping the clock helped them. they were able to get a play called, get the correct personnel in and were able to catch their breath. calling timeout in either scenario is dumb. Yes i'm aware if it were offensive game would be over. It was a defensive penalty though aren't the options, defense can call a timeout to avoid the penalty if any are left, or offense can take the half the distance and have the option to have the clock start when the ball is snapped instead of when it is set. So either way, they would've had plenty of time to get their play in?

  18. this No that's not what I was "complaining" about. I clearly stated that I was mad because I pay money, a lot of money via my student loans every year to watch this team play, and am sick of the effort or lack thereof that they are putting on the field (just as many of you are). All I was saying is that instead of dreaming what these players are saying and doing on these boards, I actually saw it in person and wanted to share with everyone on here. I also made an analogy, hoping that our team wouldn't end up like the Bucs from last year, giving up on their coach and losing 10 in a row. So before you decided to post something asinine or respond with a "this", you might want to re-read the original post because it looks like you have little to no reading comprehension skills. So sick of posting on this board or even trying to comment on something because all I ever get is rude comments or remarks from most people.
  19. A bunch of the USF O-line, Lanaris, JBK, and a few other players I failed to recognize. I don't have a problem with players going out after the game, but it kinda made me mad that they acted like they had won the game. Even overheard JBK and another player joking about the predictability of our offense, laughing and saying "Oh it's 1st down, I wonder if they know we're gonna run it again even though we're down a bunch". If I wasn't afraid of getting knocked out by the towering lineman, I would've turned around and called them out and let them know I haven't paid over $1K a year for the last 4-5 years to watch them put this crap on the field and play like they have. The last time I saw players out at the bar and acting like that was last year and it was Bucs players doing the same thing... they all gave up on their head coach and lost 10 in a row, i'm praying the same doesn't happen to this USF team this year.
  20. For noon games or earlier, the lots open 4 hours before kickoff. For afternoon/evening games, the lots open up 5 hours before kickoff. So tomorrow the lots open up at 2:30.
  21. Exactly. Although I think it's extremely unlikely that they could get anything done in 60 days of this sort, who knows? ESPN has been bashing the BE for months and it's gotten much worse as these negotiations get closer. It'll be interesting to see how everything plays out. Although I think we end up signing with NBC unless CBS comes out of nowhere with an offer and the new commish's ties to them.
  22. A Cinci fan on the ESPN BE board was saying the rumor-mill up there is spinning fast as well with the same talk.
  23. Sorry for posting something that's sooo "dumb". I said it was clearly a rumor, It had to do with USF, and I thought maybe fellow USF fans would like to know about it. In theory it makes sense though. We all know ESPN is pissed b/c BE rejected their TV deal a while back. We all know ESPN told ACC to take Pitt & Cuse (although it was redacted by BC). We also know that ESPN's 60 day negotiation window starts in what a week? It makes sense they would try 1 last time to dismantle the BE and get them for much cheaper than they will get us once their exclusive window passes and the bids for the BE start coming in. It's definitely plausible as the Mythbusters would say, how likely is unknown though.
  24. USF to Big XII (12 if you can't read roman numerals)??? Saw this on ESPN blog today, and hadn't seen a post about it here. Been searching the web past few hours and haven't found much else about this, so it's clearly nothing more than a rumor. But we can dream can't we? https://twitter.com/...659996185927684
  25. Students will still get free tickets... I'm guessing he is just concerned he might not get one because the demand will be so high. Maybe he doesn't have a lot of priority points?
