    He’s literally going to the school featured in the book The System where Les Miles did everything possible to put the best players on the field no matter what their academic ability because they had a system to subvert it. He literally would stand before the team and say Academics First while holding up 2 fingers, Football second, holding up 1 finger. At lsu he has the chance to be the next Saban.

    He came up in conversation specifically as to why he never got another hc job. But he did get college dc jobs. So you explain why no hc job because no, I don’t know why unless it’s because he never won a conference championship, or even played in one nor had a team end the season ranked.

    You are wondering off your original question of what type coach should usf hire that would be successful. I gave you an example, a fired top tier coach. Mike Leach is another example.

    George O’Leary won a NC at Georgia Tech, fired because he lied on his resume, ucf picked him up.
