  1. Didn't catch his number but ANOTHER guy in position to make a tackle but got frozen in his cleats smh
  2. I want to see one of our guys get in the backfield & snatch the option pitch right out of the air & take it to the house
  3. TOUCHDOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! two great returns to start the game special teams is going to be huge for us
  4. the pick, that 20(?) yard throw & the way they were gashing with the run, holding them to a FG is a win for the Defense in my book. defense is already adjusting.
  5. the term "woman" being used pretty loosely here if we're talking about Thailand. lol.
  6. apologies for bumping an old-ish thread, but I've kinda wanted to sound off on the new Adidas unis since I saw pics of them from FanFest... the GOOD: - I like the neo-classic look of the all greens. as much as I enjoyed the UA style with "gold" (aka khaki, beige, whatever) piping & details, the green jerseys with gold lettering have a similar feel to the old Nike (?) joints - big fan of the black unis. I know in years past (many years lol) there was a bit of disagreement on TPB about jerseys that aren't part of the official USF color palette (or whatever), but these are a fresh new addition IMO - 99.9% of the time I am diametrically opposed to gold foil on clothing. I've always found it tacky, but this works. - ABSOLUTELY look better on TV than they did in pics the BAD: - I don't mind the "tire track" design in & of itself, but the fact that this is the generic Adidas style used for most of their jerseys (including some HS jerseys), I'd have preferred something that every other Adidas-contracted team *doesn't have (edit). - I will miss the UA SoFlo colorway IMMENSELY. my favorite unis of all time, possibly in any sport. I'm an 80s/90s kid & the color gradient style from bright yellow to dark green with neon highlights was wicked cool retro & pretty unique. almost like a green version of those old orange to yellow Astros jerseys. - the "SOUTH FLORIDA" across the chest (sorry Brad)... it's not that it looks bad aesthetically, but for the longest time it has seemed the University has promoted "USF" as the acronym for athletics. now we're back to "South Florida" ? some consistency would be nice. either a minimalist U.S.F. (similar to the UA camo jerseys) would have been better, or even the USF script logo with the horned U. - nothing with stripes? I know Adidas doesn't usually add stripes to its athletic jerseys, but I think a striped variant would be awesome. TAMU has those burgundy jerseys with prominent white stripes on the shoulders & they have always stood out to me. I think it would look good with our green. on the bright side, nobody will be burning our gear
  7. back in my student ticket days their system was still new... I used to drive to different campuses to get extra tickets. they fixed that pretty quick. lol. IIRC we used to be able to get in with just our student ID's.
  8. exactly. EVERYONE was very nice before the game. but once the game got going & it no longer looked like an early season cakewalk for the Tigers some fans started acting up. after the game quite a few a-holes came out. but hey, since then we've dealt with Hurricane fans (almost got arrested) & Rutgers fans (got a whole section of Pauly D's thrown out of 126), & of course Florida Central Community College fans... the one & only time i went to Orlando (forgot year) was probably the WORST game day experience ever. their fans literallydumped beers on USF fans & threw things out of their cars at USF fans walking to wherever they parked. but as far as actual game... def Auburn #1, then WVU & FSU.
  9. I wasn't going to get into it because I know 99% of Bulls fans on the forum thought Auburn fans were Angels that farted glitter but my experience was much different. the tickets I bought were from AU season ticket holders, so my gf and I spent the first half surrounded by Auburn fans. on top of spilling drinks on us, loudly declaring their surprise that we had a "Black kicker" (of course Delberado was Latino but, whatever) then proceeding to yell "F*** N-words" randomly during the game, after the game we got some heckling from student housing, including "y'all better get outta here wearing that sh** before u get your ass kicked" it was just my gf & I. not drunk, no chants, just trying to find Bama Cabbie & get back to Opelika. im glad the AU fans were hospitable to u & I'm sure most of their fan base are decent people, but we definitely ran into some bad apples.
  10. was that the play that Jenk came allllll the way from the other side of the field & almost caught him? that was pure speed.
  11. Auburn. hands down. the image of Jesse holding that ball up as he caught the winning TD in OT will forever be etched in my memory. i also remember a drunken Bulls fan punching me in the nuts after the Jenk INT (that should have been a pick six). he was kinda just flailing out of pure elation as we all thought it was a TD & he caught me square in the junk. then we escaped from an angry Auburn campus with the help of our cab driver, who was really just a young Bama fan with an old Buick LeSabre we met the day before... IIRC there was no way to get near the stadium with a car, so he parked as close as he could then ventured onto campus in full Tide gear & helped us find our way out as salty threats & insults rained down on us from some of the dorms we passed. kid had balls & went out of his way to help us out. he was almost as psyched about our win as we were. the FSU game was great, but we took one of the party busses that left from campus & I got so shizfaced on the drive up most of that day was a blur. WVU, Kansas, the A-Jax Louisville game... tons of great memories.
  12. so basically shareable media sent directly to USF athletes & personnel to be shared on social media? not a bad idea, if I'm reading right. USF's visibility on Instagram & Facebook leaves a lot to be desired from what I've seen. in 2016 i couldn't find ANY USF football highlights on Instagram. i started recording my TV screen with my iPad (because i suck at the internets) & posted them up. several players liked & shared those videos, not because I'm a cool guy or because the quality of the clips was good, but because they were literally some of the ONLY highlights available. now there's another pretty good page (@SoFloBulls I believe) that does a very good job with pics, videos, edits, etc., but that's it other than random occasional content posted by players & fans. if this INFLNCR thing leads to more social media visibility for the Bulls I'm all for it.
  13. Read something this morning (forgot the source) that broke down the USF/GT matchup. other than the line (-3 for GT on that article), the most interesting stat was GT's QB, who has thrown an INT per every 12 passes over their last 5 games, including Alcorn. that is insanely bad. captain obvious analysis says the Bulls defense needs to hold the run game to minimal gains on 1st & 2nd downs in order to force GT into throwing situations on 3rd. easier said than done, but that's really the gist. forcing GT to pass is the key. even if 1st & 2nd downs go for 3 yards a piece, GT is probably still going to run on 3rd & anything less than 5.
  14. yep. definitely a mental aspect there. that Rutgers game really stole our mojo. no excuses, but it was what it was.
  15. agree 100% wins & losses DID mean more. we were a BCS/Power Conference team. every win counted towards a shot at a title & most wins, esp. in-conference, were bigger because the stakes were higher & the competition far tougher. looking back at the pre-collapse BIG EAST, we played ACC, BIG10 & Big12 caliber opponents (Lville, Pitt, Cuse, Rutgers, WVU) nearly every week. not to go off on a tangent, but that is the biggest aspect that chaps my ass about the big mouths on I4-- they never played that level of competition week in & week out. they came in & won during a transition year for the conference (the last year for an auto-bid) then won a much weaker AAC last year. it really seems like USF did the heavy lifting while C's rode our coat tails until the Big East collapsed & they just ate off what we were building for non-Big3 Florida football programs. unlike the AAC, USF didn't just win a couple big games each season then squeak into a big bowl where we could go hard. we had huge OOC wins then had to look at the grueling conference schedule against perpetually ranked WVU, Lville, Rutgers teams & STILL have enough left in the tank for a bowl. who did C beat last year? us? then they waltzed into their bowl. it's not comparable at all, but these are only the laments of a Bulls fan. no one else will notice or care... just sour grapes & spilled milk.
