I'm all about the dream, but I think even Vladimir has taken the under on that.

They are as indicative as any other game of the season IMO. How good a team is is not determined from the result of a single game, but the culmination of the season and the visual and statistical growth that occurs throughout the year, hopefully resulting in increased program awareness and subsequent higher level recruiting.

Unless it's a playoff game, really can't agree with that all .......... now more than ever. A lot of time in bowls the teams are in two totally different "places", with ours being a perfect example, and the results usually show that.

In this new world of college football, in a lot of cases, coaches will more and more embrace the exhibition aspect of the bowl game to try and evaluate players to replace the ones leaving.

Exactly, e.g., our bowl experience with a mid-level ACC team vs. SMU's.

The AAC is minor league college football. More often than not, they will lose their bowl games against P5 teams. It is what it is.

While bowl games are not meaningless to the players playing or (usually) their fans, in the modern climate, most if not all of the games bear no relevance to how good the team was in the regular season or how good they may be in the coming year.  So I watch solely for entertainment and don't get too caught up in who beats who.

That said, I did enjoy the back-to-back outcome of games from Boca and Tampa.

Timmy did make a pretty nice throw when he first came in ...... but he may be one of those that plays just well enough to get you beat.

He did however he kinda reminds of a player that will make some incredible highlights but follows them up with stupid decisions.  He gives me that  Jameis vibe, never really got any better, just kept doing the same stupid ****, always thinking he could pull a rabbit out of the hat.

Kind of seems like a recent tradition.  Every bowl game I watch has a former USF QB playing.  Right now watching Jordan McCloud in Military Bowl.  He goes from looking magnificent to awful in alternate plays.

Found this higher res version of the rendering on USF's site. It's starting to grow on me, after the initial shock of all the weird shapes has worn off. One thing is for sure that it makes oveido's stadium look like a disaster waiting to happen.

It's funny that many pages back someone complained about the "breaks" in the sections/end zones.  I do live in the desert, and it's not like Tampa, but Tampa can get hot.  They tore down parts of Sun Devil Stadium to get the "breaks" in the sections so that the bowl didn't get so hot.  Air/wind coming in, a little better...but when it's 118 it's 118.

I think they should strike a sponsorship deal with MacDill and install these Big Ass Fans.
