North Texas has been looking tough this season
I was surprised how good they looked when I watched them play. I expect them to be a tough out.

Maybe we can emulate that UConn run that started with the first AAC tourney a decade ago.

Alabama's 2024 recruit QB, top rated QB in the country this class, just entered the portal lol. Dude hasn't even practiced yet.
Maybe he took a page from the Quinn Ewers playbook and can get paid by a couple of different schools before playing a down. I'm just (Julian) Sayin....

Litigation is really just an inevitable part of the modern-day college football realignment process. Seems no one likes the process but they all want to taste more $$$$$.

A huge win for the program and Bulls. I don't follow basketball much, but a top 10 win is a top 10 win. Great work by the coaches and players.
Watching that game, particularly the second half, was nothing short of amazing. That came after Seth spent halftime show talking up Memphis. I think Penny's Tigers they were ultimately victims of the Greenberg curse.
Here's hoping the Bulls can keep the run going.
Go Bulls!

My wife is still with me after 40 years. She's either not looking hard enough or relatively happy.
I think she's waiting you out.

Congratulations to the one and again champs!

Sad. And also kind of sad that I have lost touch with so many of the oldtimers from USF basketball fandom days.

I saw Beatrice not Rice. I’m like who is that
Every time I see that I think of Beatrice, I guess it shows our age, who in the hell is named Beatrice anymore.
Andy and Sarah's daughter, just a few bad days from the throne.

9 pages for a man who withdrew from the portal. I wish Battie well at Auburn. If they can figure it out they have a very talented player. Can we move on from this? lol
I think the topic is stimulating interest on the board due to the brave new world of college football we’ve entered with the realities of NIL and the transfer portal upending the sport. In addition, not sure there are too many cases of kids wanting to go back to their original school after chasing NIL deals. Interesting all around, in my opinion.
Plus, what the feck are going to talk about until the Spring game
I too wish Battie well. He seemed like a good kid on top of being a hell of a player. I’m sure he’ll end up fine at Auburn.
I too wish Battie and, for that matter, any other former Bulls transfers well. I don't begrudge any student athlete their choices. But they have to make their decisions and live with them just like the rest of us mere mortals.

If I recall we sold it the Sombrero in our debut.
Not really, we closed off the end zones which is why we did sell out the 49k allotted but easily could have sold thousands more. They wanted everyone sideline to sideline for the optics. They had strings up to close off the area however the crowd eventually ignored them and spilled over into these seats. 18 inches per ass is asking a lot, even back then.
Yeah, I brought 8 to that first one and many thereafter.
And I'm not sure what the last phrase means but you have piqued my interest.

Outscored 30 - 9 at the line .... ugh
How long you been a Bulls fan?
Sometimes it feels like much too long. Into my 52nd year and seen a lot of hard times on the hardwood in my time. Oh, and way, WAY too many missed free throws.

That's some Grade-A ********. So, we're eligible to potentially participate in the CFP, but don't get to share in the money, because of some arbitrarily made up division of P5/G5 with no real meaning.
Smells like a class action lawsuit in the making.
I know there's a lot more important issues in the country/world, but I really wish that congress would step in and blow up the entire college football landscape and rebuild from scratch. There's a lot of state-funded institutions involved and a lot of money at stake.
YEAH! Time to call Auntie Trust and club all them colleges with that Commerce Clause rolling pin until they cry uncle!

He has turned things around, that being said it needs to continue during conference play. No reason at all this team should not win at minimum 15 games this year.
Well, this coming up four-game stretch should tell us a lot.

I don’t like lefties.
Looks like charlie strong and gilbert may have agreed with you. seems like shaun king really wanted him here.
USF made another push for Penix that might have worked if Taggart never left. King said he “was fighting an uphill battle in the building” because Penix is left-handed — a fact that makes some coaches rethink play designs and blocking assignments.
The Bulls’ visit included King (then the running backs coach) and head coach Charlie Strong but not offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Sterlin Gilbert. The Hoosiers, however, didn’t just bring coach Tom Allen and quarterbacks coach Nick Sheridan. They brought everyone else, too
How did FSU, USF and Florida let Tampa’s Michael Penix Jr. get away?

The state’s programs whiffed three different times on Washington’s star quarterback.Saw MP play in high school vs Jefferson when Casey Weldon's son was playing QB for the Dragons and was probably a bigger recruiting name. MP shone but, to be honest, I didn't foresee what was coming. He has been nothing short of amazing this season. Congrats to one who has done Pasco proud.

Sunbelt? Metro? I think I saw this guy at the game.

Was a foregone conclusion set up by a corrupt and broken system. I don't blame any of the opt outs. Even Kirby was smart enough to figure it out.

I had one of the rollup garage door itself, but it must have been somewhere else.
I was at that one back in the day when I lived in Otown.

After watching the spring game, I think some of the 2009 team may not now be in top playing shape...

BTW, wouldn't mind having a player like this local kid:

I prefer the old bowl game system vs each successive garbage idea that has come out. It was simple - all games were played by the end of New Year's Day, and the pollsters picked a winner
It was awesome. Great times...
I hate all systems, especially those that carry a veneer of "logic" and "impartiality."

Can get legally get offers if he is not in the portal? Isn't that tampering? The whole portal stuff combined with nil is ruining college football more and more each year. So much shady stuff going on. Coaches recruit use nil money then claim they don't pay players to come there.
As of now, legal is in the eye of the beholder and varies from state to state.

I think, if you measure, the height of the rims will be 10 feet and the distance to the free throw line will be 15 feet.
I don't mind the Bulls playing in high school gyms, I just don't want to lose to high school teams.
Chances of making march madness?
