  1. Do you think that Woolard, Judy, and admin would consider Skip and Co. a bust if this team finished oh, 2-10, 3-9? And with that, do you think that would be enough to justify a buy out and search for new blood as they know renewals would be low, revenues would be nill, and interest would be non existent? And on the contrary, if we finished respectably, 5-7 (well... on par with last year or 6-6 and a freecreditreport.com bowl, would that be enough credibility for the school to keep him where he is?
  2. I can vouch for that. There were spatterings in the student section below and above me. The whole conversation went like this (caps on because I was screaming 25 feet away): "HEY!!!!!! WHY ARE YOU HERE?" "GO NOLES!!!!!!!!!!!!" "NO, WHY ARE YOU HERE? HOW DID YOU GET IN HERE?" "I GO TO USF" "THEN WHY ARE YOU WEARING THAT GARBAGE?" "BECAUSE WE'RE THE F#*%$% NOLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BULLS SUCK!!!!!!!" You were all right about the fans showing their true colors!
  3. Judy may not care. But the fact of the matter is simple. Athletics drive Academia. It drives national recognition, I don't care what discipline you're going to study in, mechanics, bioengineering, or exercise science. When you have athletics that are nationally recognized, it pays its dividends by strengthening the academics and the entire community. We can boast all we want about we play in an NFL stadium with chairbacks ...and we lose nearly every game in it with fairweather fans who sell their seats to garnet. Invest some money in improving our coaches and team and build a reputation of winning. Then we don't have to worry about seats.
  4. We had a solid fan base in '07 vs. WVU It's understandable. Winning solves everything. Had we have been 4-0 going into this game, it would've been a different story and the split would've probably evened out. But concerning fanbases, those garnet and gold fanbases we saw yesterday grew up with wire-to-wire and AP top 5 finishes for a decade, so they'll stick by their team no matter what. Same with Gators, or state schools who have been around since the Civil War. When we went up there after their BYU loss and coming to the end of the Bowden era, there were what -- about 3k who sold their tickets, as opposed to 20k of ours who sold theirs? Says something about the loyalty of the rest of their fanbase I am concerned for the future about bringing up a fanbase when 4-8 is all we have at South Florida. I should rephrase that as "lack there of a..."
  5. The fact that (pardon the guesstimate) it was 80-20 FSU for fanbase? I'm not counting the student section since it's part of the culture and you'd expect your kids to show up. But everything past the north end zone was entirely garnet. Let's not make that red seat excuse, it was filled. White shirts were a push, but you'd still have to err on the side of Fla State. I can deal with the loss. I can deal with FSU walmart t-shirt high school dropout singing the out of tune warchant in our student section (how'd they make it in?). I can't deal with how mismatched we were. I saw pockets of green, but when the war chant came on I had to take a look at the bend right arms of the stadium. It was sickening. In our own house Sorry guys, but that is one of the biggest, if not the biggest, low points in this history of our program. Some might come back and say "oh, it was 60/40, 50/50", but it sure didn't feel like that. Student section aside, we were in the minority. Hate to be a debbie downer, but that's how I feel 12 hours later. Still love my Bulls, and will see you all at Syracuse! (unless you sell it to an Orange fan) :/
  6. FSU fans are mostly classy Keep in mind that there are some out there that aren't part of FSU, but call themselves fans, and they got a chance to see "their" team play closer to home than a game in Tally would be. I'm guessing there were more freaks out there tonight in Seminole gear than there would be at a game at Doak. No matter what, other than ours FSU has the classiest fan base in the state of FL, bar none. Maybe I just ran into those freaks then Come to think of it, they didn't even look or sound like they could take a math course at a state college. Guess I hit the bad apples.
  7. I think they played the opposing teams fight song as a nod from the tradition that started in Big 10 -- they used to do that, did it a lot, or are still currently doing it. Normally, I'd be okay with it, but when they were getting to the spell out section of Fla St's song, I about cringed. They cut it off, but the Noles kept going
  8. I'm sure (with 40,000 of them) we saw our share of them, so I wanted to get a read on how they were. When we went up to Tallahassee in 09, they were very classy and hospitable, even after the loss. I'd say near the student section this year, this was not the case. Standard drunken frat boys, 20some year old wal-mart bandwagoners with the 6 minute relentless tomahawk chop in our faces asking us why we didn't sell our tickets As always, you don't let a fraction of the fan base speak for the good of the group, but I was seeing how everyone's experience was since you were all pretty much surrounded by garnet.
  9. "FSU has an explosive offense and we will get a good evaluation of where our defense stacks up" ... No. Ball State was good enough. 32 points enough
  10. They can't create a game plan for Ball State. How will they for a national title contender?
  11. Wow. That's VERY low. +15 now... expecting it to move upwards.
  12. Right now I'd take the win over FSU -- since the latter is no longer in question
  13. Eh, 2007 was not an impressive season by anyone. Remember the curse of #2? Even a 2-loss LSU went to the national championship
  14. If you consider juxtaposing us next to them, based on our current personnel, then yes. There are no weak links on that team. Their defense was caught off guard last night and gave up a few big plays, but then again, that's vs. a notable Clemson team. They toughened up and made adjustments on both sides of the ball In our case, their speed, consistency, and power are dangerous weapons. We will be outmatched, outcoached, and outclassed in every category. Sadly, I'm drinking the Kool-Aid on this one and I believe they are everything the media are making them out to be. They remind me of the '09 Gators that we unstoppable until somebody figured out how to stop Tebow -- however, this FSU team looks like they have it all figured out because UF's team seemed to be inept in offense other than some lucky strikes EJ mentioned that coming into the clemson game they used less than 4% of their playbook. This will be the best team we've ever played
  15. What do you think the %age will be from the respective schools? Just curious. I'll be there representing. Seeing who sold their tickets to Noles...
  16. Um it doesn't work that way Not to be 'that' guy, but what makes you think that we won't go 3 n out on every possession against that defense? And not to be 'that' guy, but what makes you think they won't score on every possession against our defense who let 30+ go against Indiana University Junior College I will be there supporting. If we're going down, I'm on the ship as well
  17. I hope so. The way people are acting on this board it will be a sell out, 70% FSU 30% USF. As we won't be able to hear our fans over the war chant. That should make you sick to your stomach if you even call yourself a fan, student, alumni, or whatever. Seriously people -- don't be a coward. No matter what happens in half an hour, or 4 hours, just go to the game and support your team. Don't make us look pathetic on the national stage as it's already happened once. If all the stars align and we win, you'll be kicking yourself for the rest of your life because you missed the biggest game in USF's history Go Bulls, damnit
  18. It was $185 with the bear tax/ticketmaster tax, etc, it came out to around $210. That's totally fine, and welcome the suggestion! Waiting for an offer below $150, still open to some options!
  19. Got some cheap tickets up in the nosebleeds, so I decided to relinquish my season ticket! Single ticket (sorry, heh -- you're on your own, but you can make friends!). FSU and here on out. Sect 126, Row N, Seat 9 $155, face value for all games. ($50 FSU, $35 for the other 3) for all 4 Obviously, willing to go OBO. No Noles, would prefer to sell it obviously Bulls. PM me and we can work something out! GO BULLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
