  1. Indeed they were! I'd also like to add it was great to see so many bulls horns in the air when H.O.T. played #8/The Bull. That's the most horns I've seen in the air when that was played.
  2. The UConn game will tell us whether this is true or not. If there is a full student section at the UConn game, after the past two losses, I think that will say a lot about our students.
  3. I don't know the full story... What did these two do? Were they caught with drugs was it and they have a how many game suspension?
  4. That is my point, maybe spending and additional $2,000,000 may buy you two more wins and a winning season.  Winning seasons buy recruits.  True top recruits (those that can qualify and don't come with baggage) will grow the program. My point is that it won't buy more wins. We are beyond the point where spending money has a great effect on the results. What would you want them to spend money on exactly?
  5. Well, there is certainly a correlation between money spent and how well a team does... but, there is also a decreasing return to it as well. I tend to think we are beyond the point where money has such an important effect on the results. We have a practice field, we have a nice atheltic department, and we have an okay coaching staff. Would another $100,000 add one more win to our record? Another $1,000,000 add one more win? Money only goes so far.
  6. Good turn out... fans were very involved! I think there will be at least 30,000 again at the UConn game. That's VERY, VERY optimistic... but I have faith.
  7. They did play their hearts out! Everyone should be proud of them!
  8. AMEN to all the comments. This guy is amazing! Even with the loss, he was RIGHT there righting hard. He has such poise and concentration. But, yes, still very young and experience will only make him all the more great.
  9. I thought student attendance and involvement was great! I think, at the very least, that impressed the bowl representatives... but, then again, we need 6 wins for that to even matter.
  10. that's because you're a moron I thought it smelt of New Jersey in here.
  11. How come New Jersey is a toxic waste dump?
  12. The Devil Rays do not have any close substitutes. Quite true. But, if the Bucs left, some of their fans still want to watch competitive football in person... where are they going to go? I would think a fair share of them would attend USF games, some to HS games, some would just not care and stay home. Like I said.... theoretically.
  13. I recall a thread after the UCF game about whether or not the H.O.T. would have a drum beat so we can all chant "USF" in unison.... any word if that will be happening?
  14. Economics teaches us that if there are no close substitutes for USF football that attendance should go up... theoretically.
  15. Only thing I can think of is a win! Make sure everyone brings their CDs to the tailgate... I'd love to walk around and here nothing but good ol' Number 8 playing everywhere I walk!!
  16. I'm pretty sure the city of Tampa owns RayJay, the Glazers are only renting it at basically a price of zero.
  17. Why rush the field when there is huge PIRATE SHIP for the taking?
  18. It would be much nicer if the student section showed up with one color. Especially since this is an 8pm game and it'll be very cool outside. I'll be there wearing my green! One Student Section, One Color!
  19. 30,000+ I may eat these words later, but I think conference games will almost all be above 30,000 from now on. Maybe I'm just being overly optimistic.
