    CJL was and is a jackass. He wasn't fired for the "incident", he was fired for his behavior after. We all know this.

    I don't know either one. But Jr was calm and quiet, Sr was on a rampage.

    Dude has a cannon for an arm. Some QBs adjust quickly, most take time to settle in. From camp quotes it sounded like they spent a lot of time with him in the offseason to break some old habits and install some new habits. We'll see.

    When you say "he", you mean the elder McClain, right? It is obvious who was calling the shots if you followed along on Twitter.

    It took him three games to begin to adjust. Not sure why you go through that again unless the coaching staff changes. He has one more shot at all this. But who knows what he is thinking.

    I don't remember where I saw that. But in one of the press conferences CJS admitted that he got rocked towards the end of the Gator game and wasn't really healthy for L'ville, which can partially explain that debacle.

    I don't see why he wouldn't come back, unless one of the young guys really takes off during the last five games. He would be pretty much the undisputed #1 and things were starting to gel. One would hope the offense would take another step up next year with him at the helm.

    Five games left, you can use up to four without burning a redshirt. Do we see some Bynum Brown or Gunnar Smith?

    Why did you have to pick on the bourbon drinkers? I can't say we are the healthiest, but we might claim the mantle of steadiest Bulls fans. Bourbon makes you mellow.

    Look, if someone you had no idea this would happen, tell the defense what the play calls are going to be if they go no huddle. At least after the first or second series you should be in better shape. You can change the calls each drive. Most of their drives weren't long anyway. Tuck away a few plays and let someone on the field make the call. This isn't rocket science.

    I mean, set up five play calls for emergencies and use them by holding up a finger. Then make your normal calls when BYU isn't in a hurry. I mean, its better than players still looking at the sideline when the ball is snapped. At least call *something*.

    He was also getting props on his development from the coaching staff over the last few months. We are still far better stocked at the QB position this year than we were last year.

    What confuses me is that the other school isn't exactly light on QBs. Not sure how he figures he is in better shape next year to start there than here. But whatever works for him, I guess.

    I have not read the entire thread. I would rather have seen McClain stay and fight it out this year and beyond, or at least this year. One injury and he would probably be in there. But if he wants to go into the portal now that is his decision. Timmy seems to have handled it well. The issue I have is with his father making his public statements. It does not help his son in any way. If anything, other coaches will at least be a bit wary of a helicopter parent. Jr is an adult. Give him advice, but don't live his life for him and make it about you. That never turns out well.

    Thanks, forgot he got drafted late by the Steelers. I hope he sticks, at least on the practice squad. Amazing the QBs we passed over here at USF.

    Maybe that is the reason? If he waits until next semester he has to sit out 2023 season? I dunno, the rules are like mush right now.

    I just find it hilarious that after all of these years of failures, it is still the same dudes tweeting about conference expansion. And, yes, I understand I am on here again. In the same thread on conference expansion. Don't @ me.
