  2. He's making $1.15 per year. Very reasonable.
  3. If he resigns he will forfeit his contract and not receive any more money. Why not wait to get fired and receive the $2.5M buyout? The only way he resigns is if he is pursing another job.
  4. They've said that they're committed to the Big East and envision USF as the premiere program in all sports. They're thinking that they'd rather be at the top of the Big East than the bottom of a power conference. If the conference signs a good TV deal then this is not a bad position to be in, if not, we'll be mired in mediocrity until we can get out.
  5. I am betting that ND ends up signing with ABC/ESPN once their NBC deal is up. That would certainly help the BigEast when it comes to a deal with NBC.
  6. This hurts the possibility of an NBC contract too. ND will now be on ESPN as an ACC member. Previously they were in line to move with the Big East to NBC for all sports broadcasting.
  7. At face value it hurts the least, but the perception of the conference takes another huge hit. The Big East is open game for anyone to come in and take whatever they want.
  8. Good timing for ESPN to broker this deal. We're still in the exclusive negotiating window with them, so this makes our conference less valuable, therefore they will low-ball us even more. Yup, this has ESPN back-door tactics written all over it. ESPN is single-handedly destroying college football. They've effectively reduced the amount of haves to 63 (Pac12, Big12, ACC, SEC, Big10 and ND), which all but eliminates the have nots (every other conference and team) from competing for a national championship.

  11. "As was the case with the previous agreement, USF can opt out of the contract so long as the Bulls provide 24 months' notice before the termination date."
  12. Yes, it's double elimination. We'll play either LSU or California next.
  13. Get the WatchESPN app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=air.WatchESPN&hl=en). If you intend to stream the game over 3G/4G, and not WiFi, make sure you have unlimited data because it will burn through a limited plan pretty quickly.

  15. Yeah, I was hoping they were going to drop the wordmark and just go with the U, too. And paint the key. That looks really nice. Did you make it?
  16. Plays for Pitt as well?! http://scores.espn.go.com/ncf/boxscore?gameId=263150041&confId=null Check out the kick returns stat... Good job ESPN! ;D
  17. What is the status on Rock II (our live bull mascot)? I thought he was going to make an appearence at a game this year? Is he going to be ready to go at next years home opener?
  18. There are no dates of any kind on the ID's. They do scan them though, but maybe that just records the number of people who attend the game? A friend of mine has been out of school for 3 years now and his ID still passes when they scan it.
  19. A lot of recent USF Alumni that I know still use their old student ID's to get in for free.
