  1. I agree. For players like him, why try to go straight to the NBA? I just don't get it. Perhaps inflated sense of one's own abilities?
  2. I agree with those that say his resume doesn't warrant serious top-tier consideration. However, anyone that thinks he is here for the rest of his career is crazy. He's gone first good offer he gets, no question.
  3. I don't disagree. That view is not incompatible with understanding that running up the score is frowned upon by many.
  4. Mainly I meant to make the point that if you don't extend "sportsmanlike" courtesies to others, you should not expect them in return. I don't necessarily have a problem with it - but when someone goes headhunting or takes a shot with the intent to put one of our guys out of the game, and is only penalized 15 yards, we don't have room to complain. (i.e. I'm not saying we are doomed by fate to a massive injury just because we threw it at the end.) If I had been on the other end of it, I would have made someone hurt for it.
  5. I don't mind throwing at the end of the game, but everyone who supports that should remember that karma's a *****. If I were on ECU and saw that, I would have taken a run at the QB, and anyone else, and made **** sure that you wouldn't have the opportunity to run it up any more.
  6. If Cherry were that good, he would be on the field.
  7. I think it's safe to say that if there were an injury, one of the better and more senior guys would slide over and fill in. The 2-deep doesn't generally reflect that, especially on the OL.
  8. Per reports at the time, multiple shots hit the side of the dorm and took chunks out of the building, so if they were shooting straight up, they managed to bend the laws of physics. Also, one of his charges was "shooting into an occupied dwelling", so...
  9. Under Florida law it would have likely been a murder charge, actually.
  10. Maybe it's a question of semantics re: what the meaning of "intentionally" is to you. To me, if you point a gun in the direction of something you know is there and pull the trigger of a loaded gun (multiple times, no less), you are intentionally shooting at something. It's not like they were in the woods and didn't realize there was a building behind trees they were shooting at. They were right next to the building, in the middle of a crowded area of campus that is filled with dorms that have people inside.
  11. I'm not sure what you are asking, exactly. Maybe the answer to your question is "both"? It was reported to be celebratory, and that he didn't actually intend to kill anyone, but he definitely shot at the dorm.
  12. No way! I've heard we don't compete with Michigan for recruits. Can't be possible.
  13. Someone else can give him a second chance. Shooting at/into an occupied dorm is not negligence. He's lucky he didn't kill someone. Letting him back on to our campus is betting students' lives on the chance that he has changed significantly. Not willing to do that no matter how good the player.
  14. Funny, you could have found it by searching Fire Willie Taggart 11 months ago.
  15. Just to be clear, we haven't played a single conference game yet so the only place we are "looking at going to the conference championship game" is in the minds of TBP.
  16. He might leave but it sure as hell won't be to LSU
  17. "I know he's better than anything we've current got, but that's like saying Roseanne is hotter than Rosie O'Donnell." -JTrue, 2015
  18. And as usual, TBP hype machine was so very, very wrong. ****, when I raised these issues at x-fer time, multiple people (including some of the posters in this thread) went on an on about how they "knew" AW was immediately the best QB on the roster (which was, of course, impossible), that he was clearly more talented than the guys we had, that he would be starting instantly, etc etc etc ad naseum.
  19. When you say >>>>>> what do you mean mean? Lower expectations? Not everyone would see that as a good thing. Do you also mean to say that there is more fan support for Florida State? Because I can tell you that is flat out not true.
