  1. October 28 EXHIBITION @ Orlando Marching MPA December 9 EXHIBITION @ FESTIVAL OF WINDS – USF CLASSES END http://band.arts.usf.edu/calendar.htm
  2. Oh hell no!!! I'm sure my uni is thick enough to not allow the Taser darts to penetrate....I'll takle the ref and stuff him in my Sousa bell!!!!!
  3. Personally, I enjoyed the tailgating performances....I thought that was cool. As for membership, every home game isa recruiting tool as well as the invitations we get at high school band competitions. Yesterday was very successful for recruiting at Seminole High School Sound Spectacular. If anyone knows of a college student in the bay area that plays a wind instrument or drums or does color gaurd, please have them visit http://band.arts.usf.edu and click on "Prospective Members" on the left side of the screen. Also, if you crazy-loving fans and alumni would like to see HOT at more away games, as always it takes $$$ to make this happen whether we're talking about a 100 piece pep band or the entire 240+ (speaking in future terms) members. Click on this link to help this become a reality: http://usfweb2.usf.edu/ua/affmb/flash/ As always, GO BULLS!!!
  4. It wasa toss up for me between Rutgers and L'ville. Although there is more history with L'ville, I had to go with Rutgers for the simple fact that the past two games have been highly contested. Hopefully this will continue with but with more W's in our column than Rutgers....So far 1-1.
  5. Is there anyway we can cut our losses with both the soccer and football programs and get a really good kicker from the soccer team to suit up with the football team?
  6. Dr. Robinson's reason for stopping the tailgating event and just doing the Roadside Concert is for health and safety concerns. By the time we were ready to do the pregame show inside the stadium last year, over half the band was already exhausted either physically or our "chops" to play.
  7. Thanks Mike! That was a great shot of pregame....HAndsome fella, don't you all think? (reference 1st photo in Rutgers gallery)
  8. Good eye! I also like the first pic posted in Mike G's Gallery for the Rutgers game.... ;D 8-)
  9. I wouldn't go that far. Even if we get the call we had 12 seconds with no timeouts left. It would have been interesting to see what Grothe would have done, but that would have been a tall order with so little time left. How about making that 40yrd field goal that would have made the score 22-23 (24, no need for a 2 point conversion) USF and then just kickoff the ball with a squibb....
  10. I don't blame Ricky and Josh....I blame the coaching staff and administration for their lack of mentoring to keep these kids from going to the darkside.  If these guys have that much of an impact on the team, then wouldn't it behoove the team as a whole to ensure their starters are 1)Physically fit 2)Mentally prepared and 3)Lay off the G*D D#@M weed!!!
  11. The score would have been 22 - 23 USF if that 40yrd FG was made....Wouldn't have had to go for the 2-pt conversion, wouldn't have had to go for an on-sides kick......Grothe would have had his 4TH come from behind win of the season.... Anyone want to donate this to the football team?... http://www.wizardsports.com/educational-WZ-19.html
  12. Anyone want to donate this to the football team?... http://www.wizardsports.com/educational-WZ-19.html
  13. Would anyone like to donate this to the team?... http://www.wizardsports.com/educational-WZ-19.html
  14. I even heard the chick sports reports they had on the sideline during pregame call us UCF..... > > >
  15. Can we stop the stupid penalties? Can we step up a couple notches with our run defense? Can we get the ball running on our side of the ball with a RB or FB? Finally, can we get in the +'s in turnover ratio?
  16. Normal professional gate openings is usually 2-3 hours before the start of a game....I would think this would be the same practice for our games.
  17. what is an inzone? Hopefully what we'll be in! ;D
  18. Billy or Eric could probably best answer this question.... If I remember correctly, last year's overnight stay in Miami for the USF vs. UM game cost approx. $35-45K. I could be way off, but these numbers sound right. But generally speaking, we are talking 35K for just and overnight bus trip in state. Most likely tag an extra $10-20K for an out of state equiv. trip. Our biggest budget need is the new uniforms which are approx. $150K. HOT is growing at a rapid rate from year to year. Not to mentiona lso that our uniform does not comply with the current branding scheme. Any amount that is donated makes a significant contribution to meeting these goals. And for that I persoanlly thank all that have and will donate to the Herd of Thunder.
  19. He lost all credibility when he called our school Southeren Florida. He'll need to do some serious @$$ kissing TV air time with the words "SOUTH Florida" for him to get back in my graces.
  20. How about an OCS?..... (Dodging, Ducking, Dipping, Diving and Dodging)
