In light of recently developing news surrounding the Reggie Bush saga wondered what the rest of our Bull Nation thought. If guilty do you think the book should be thrown at USC? Could make for an interesting season if so. Remember our game with Auburn is the same day that Nebraska & USC are scheduled. If they lose TV rights perhaps the ripple down effect might occur and USF could end up televised????

Hey everyone needs to consider the flip side of this. CJL knows what these guys teach and pretty much what they will do. On the other hand since we have some new blood coming in that could prove to be our advantage since they will not have had as much experience with our new staff.

I agree with Ruger7 & Windbane. Both have great input. Personally I want to see some new blood and I know it will take time. At this point all I can think of is a famous quote from a movie, "Patience grasshopper, patience." Rome was not built in a day and so USF History will not be built in a day. It is coming and this season promises to be the brightest yet! We must be doing something right or the other teams would not be raiding CJL's staff.

;D We are celebratin in this household!!! Inside source complained last year that the Bulls needed a new Offensive Coord. I think now we will really see what Grothe can do. Hope we still have Ford tough!

I remember when the team went in to WVU thinking they just might do this thing!!! I think our team will go in focused and ready!!! Should be a darn good game and USF has a good chance of coming out on top. ;D

I told hubby last night that it seems like these guys are my family and even though I haven't met each one they are grafted in to the family when they become a "Bull". If a young recruit can't see that this team is about family than I don't want him wearing that green and gold. These guys are proud to say I am a "Bull"! But it takes more than talent to be a considered a "Bull"! Maybe this will open the eyes of the undecided!

We needed that and this season I hope will be dedicated in honor of Dorsey! His number will go with the team wherever they go!! Hopefully BCS!

Coach was amazing looking at that video. Thank you for posting. My prayers are with the Dorsey family I hope they find that "peace that passes all understanding" during this time.

I stayed @ the Sheraton.  Where were these packets?  Never saw or heard a thing about them?

For those who did not pick up a packet at the PJ Bowl Tailgate Part @ the Sheraton here is the information. We got packets that day and in them was the invite to the Banquet. I was told anyone can go. It is this Saturday 1/20/07 @ $30/person. You must RSVP to: Larry Antonucci or Tanya West (813) 974-7171 by 1/15/07. Which was yesterday. It is at Busch Gardens.

While the current thread seems to be leaning toward tickets for high schoolers I think a vital piece is missing. Media....Last year my husband spoke with one of the female sports anchors at great length after her sports news (about 1/2 hr.) He couldn't understand why USF was not getting the media coverage as it should. He was told that several media stations have offered as much free press as possible for Leavitt to promote the Bulls but on Conference day which is Tuesdays he won't open up, their interviews with him last only minutes. CJL shall we say does not woo the media. He is getting better but they said they have free access to Bowden & Meier and the other FL teams coaches and that is why the bigger press for them. These coaches will talk with the media. CJL does not like it and man that media can be a big boost for getting people to jump on the bandwagon. CJL is gonig to have to start opening up more because with some of the stars we are picking up and what we hope will happen this year, USF will be in the limelight! Mass media can be a big ticket for the word to get out as well as the fans talking it up.

8-) Got some FYI stuff for all going to Auburn. I spoke with the Auburn Univ. Hotel right on the campus. Very pleasant and helpul. The young man I spoke with said sometimes the visiting team stays there or the "the lodge" not sure what that is. Anyhow he said at the beginning of April they will take individual reservations. Right now they are going thourgh the groups that have annual package deals and what is left is on a first come first serve basis. Rates aren't high and the hotel is beautiful. He said a lot of visiting fans do stay in Columbus and on gameday he said it would be about 1 -1.5hr drive to the stadium due to traffic. So hopefully that will help. He did give me the name of the person who handles the football packages and said to talk with her in April, (Cassie Hood) she may even know at that point if USF is staying there or not by then. Hope this helps a little.

Hey Matt, you headin in to that Auburn town for the game??? Since there seems to be a lot of interest in the game thought we could have one of those great bull git togethers on Friday! What do you all think? Matt since you were so good at planning the last one how about another go around? If you need help I sure will volunteer!!! We need all the pep we can muster for our guys!!!!

Hey Gurly trust me they won't get our business. I've been behind Outfitters from the get go!!! Even 620 AM sports radio suggested that the Gay..tors should parade in each big city to see so all the fans could see the trophy!!!! I said "heck" no!! They don't need to come in to Bull's Country!!!!!!!!!!

Naw I don't think it will hurt USF. I realize that we want good players but coming from that steel city in PA I remember a coach making a silk purse out of a sow's ear with some "no name" recruits and look how many superbowls they won. Sometimes it's better to have a team play as a whole and with heart and win for eachother than a bunch of Primdonna's who want all the attention. That's one reason why I really like Grothe. He is humble and is all about "team". Not "me". nuff said :

Sad part is that the other coaches are left holding "the bag" and doing damage control. The kids get hurt the worst. Went to that website and read what was happening and some of the recruits are wavering quite a bit. Maybe good for us but we'll see. I see where Busch declared himself for the draft! Wonder what Brohm is going to do? Should be interesting in the next few weeks.

Hey I will take that any day!!! Wait till preseason, hmmmmm wonder where we will be then?
