  1. South Carolina has alot of question marks too. A new QB learning a new system, and a couple new RBs. I think I might jump on UCF with the points.
  2. I'm throwing a tailgate for the UCF game in Tampa and wanted some experienced tailgaters' thoughts on what I should bring/have. I have some ideas already, but I want to get some others perspective on what a good tailgate offers. Mainly talking about different kinds of food that can be easily stored, etc. But I'm also looking for other ideas, such as hooking up a TV.
  3. I'm sure the PSU band is in fine shape. Most colleges only send their band to one away game, unless they are playing a rival within close proximity. I'm pretty sure ND only sends their band to one away game per year due to cost.
  4. I've been watching Penn State for years, and can't remember when they didn't wear blue at home. I think the blizzard is for the fans.
  5. Well, hopefully our Athletic Department has heard about this "blizzard" and votes to wear Green pants. But you never know.
  6. That was brutal. I was at a bar in ATL and watched the entire game on a little TV and then .......nothing. I didn't know what the deal was. I had to call my sister in Tampa to give me the play by play via the radio.
  7. If this were a decade ago, there wouldn't be a line. Vegas doesn't create lines when a D-1 and D-1AA teams play. I think the line is a bit high, but its high because the money pushed it that high, not prognosticators. If the real gamblers want the Bulls that line will start to drop dramatically. It's got nothing to do with a lack of respect. It's all about the benjamins. That being said, I'll load up on the Bulls, becuase I think they'll hang with them for most of the game but lose in the fourth by 13 or so.
  8. These types of rankings have no bearing on wins and losses. How can you rank any of these QBs that have never even taken a college snap ahead of someone who has won games before? Look at FSU for example. They are listed at #51 when no one has ever taken a snap??
  9. Atlanta watch party is at Frankies Sports Bar on Roswell Road. Go Bulls Go!
  10. I saw he has posted on the Penn State board recently. I'm sure he'll be back here soon.
  11. I agree, whether its used for a stadium or other faculty buildings, that land is worth it. I don't think its too far away for a stadium. Its a big of a hike, but they could always run shuttles back and forth from the dorms for students and alumni, depencing on the parking situation. Luckily, we don't have to make that decision currently, since we have the luxury of playing in a brand new stadium.
  12. Nice Work 95. For that you deserve two Scooby snacks.
  13. Unless the Bulls start wearing Orange and Blue and play their home games in the Swamp, I doubt if Scot Brantley will join the broadcast. Doesn't he already do Gator radio? I just hope its someone that takes the Bulls serious, and has some ties to the school.
  14. One Week away Bulls fans! Yeah C'mon!
  15. While Huggins was a terrible administrator, he did win ball games. I don't feel sorry for him, but when does the University take some of this blame? Cincinnati has known this about him for at least 10 years, and they chose to ride him out because they were making money off of the basketball program. I think they are more to blame than the coach. If graduation rates were the reason to fire him, don't you think they could have figured this out by year 7 or 8?
  16. That is a great schedule. I like that they come to Atlanta to play baseball powerhouse Georgia Tech. I'll be able to be at that game. Go Bulls!
  17. Tennessee fans are famous for throwing pee bags....
  18. Howie, not sure of that. Could have been. I've seen Leather have great games, so I'm not slamming the guy. I'm just saying something was going on that affected his play. I remember we played them very tough, and if we had a 'normal' Leather in terms of a scoring presence, we would have won the game.
  19. Maybe it was just a bad game, but it seemed like something else was going on. Maybe he had some personal stuff affecting his play, because he kept fouling people and turning the ball over in his short time on the court. That I know I'm not making up. People can get on Julmiste, but not anybody else. That is ridiculous.
  20. I disagree with the Indiana and UNC example. Those two are traditional powers in college basketball. Their alumni and fans wouldn't allow any "down" period. Maybe a year or two. Cincinnati might be decent in the next few years, but they will never again be the class of the conference for a stretch like Huggins had them.
  21. He probably would have gotten the same bad play from Terrance Leather. I think that guy was on the take or something. He had talent, but coulnd't do it consistently. Was it the home game versus Cincy, that he basically got benched for foul trouble and only played like 5 minutes or so?
  22. Not this year. At best probably 3rd or 4th in conference. Most likely 5th or 6th in the Big East . But its fun messing up USA Today's poll.
  23. C'mon guys, we were 5-10 in the conference regular season last year. I think calling that mediocre at best is a stretch. Yes we beat them in the Conference Tourney, but our hoops program has a long way to go, especially since we'll be playing the Big East this year. Can we agree on that?
