ok, let me start the controversy now and get this thread to 13+ pages..... THE BULL RING SUCKS this is what happens when a guy who has no affiliation with or passion for USF opens up a "Bull oriented" restaurant in an effort to mark out to what he sees on paper as 40k+ students. Tell me why we should support a place just because it has some bulls stuff on the wall and used the word Bulls in the name?? Bucs' jerseys on the wall, a Philly Eagles street sign, and a friggin BoSox jersey???!! I know what most of you are thinking: that it's first and foremost a business and that until we start showing up en masse he has to appeal to other crowds too. This is a bunch of bull****!!! You will not see a seminole place or a gator sports place marking out to anyone else because the owner was either A.) an alumni or B.) has been a die hard fan since they were young. To those guys, it's not about the money, that's just an added bonus. They do it because they have passion for their school. Modern day carpet bagging at it's finest. What a croc; i'm never going there again. If anyone wants to blast me, I'll man up and take it. I'm all ears....

Well I only did it because we were stil waiting to land that big QB recruit and the board was down! I would never do it again and would encourage people not to do it because it could be a big letdown. Question though Velcro, how would they ever be able to prove any connection I have to a university??

I remember when the site crashed two years ago on signing day. I think that was the same year that we were in the running for Cornelius Ingram. My buddy and I had been keeping up with recruiting big time that year, so instead of relying on the site, we actually looked up the phone number for the school and called every hour or so. The front office lady was so pissed at us, but finally we called and I'll never forget this, the lady (in the most redneck voice imaginable) excitedly said "Cornelius is gonna be a Gator!" My friend and I just about threw up; what a waste of talent. Anyways, your post just made me think of that story and I'm bored at work so there ya go.

He may not necessarily be talking about the NFL, he could be talking to other schools. I have some sources close to Rick Kravitz and they have mentioned the idea of Leavitt entertaining the idea of leaving for Iowa if that guy left for the NFL. This is all speculation though, and i'll only believe it when i see it. These were also the same sources that told me Leavitt was a lock for Kansas State too, so take it how you will.

just seems to me that a USF themed 'straunt should be all USF, same goes for any themed place. If it was an underwater themed place you wouldn't expect to see jungle stuff in there would you? Dumb analogy, i know, but i think i have a valid point. I spoke to my buddy about it, and what i told him was that it's clearly marketing to a USF crowd, hence The Bulls Ring, the Bulls stuff outside, the green paint, etc. Therefore anyone coming in is expecting USF stuff all over the walls. Obviously if a Bucs game or a Lightning game is on when a Bulls game isn't, i'm all for it. But we don't need Bucs stuff on the wall to "appeal" to the local crowd.
