gwade, congrats on the win, but I think your comments about us are a little off-based. Our overall atheltic program has made great strides in order to be among the elite of the NCAA. If you don't believe me perhaps you should take a look at our new facility, and then look at our campus (as much as I still love it); it's clear that our administration has put a clear emphasis on athletics. There are a lot of pompous bulls fans out there ( as well as myself) because we are proud of our program; proud of what it is and proud of what it will become. The truth of the matter is that it is easy for a fan of well established university to come in and bash us because you played a great game of football (untill I saw your running back I thought ours was the best). What smazza was trying to say is that our football program HAS been able to compete in the short years it has been around; look at the people that we have beaten. Now I congratulate you on being a Memphis fan and all, and like so many other universities, your program is good. Just watch for us when our program really develops in some years to come, and then I think you'll find that your comment was probably the stupidest comment a person from another university has ever made on this board (I'm pardoning all you UCF fans for today ;D ) P.S. Smazza never said anything about the Big East, and we'd love for your school to prove itself and eventually be invited to the Big East so that we can compete will such a great program the likes that the NCAA has never seen...spare me

Here's what I loved: in the Times I read that they asked UC's coach what his thoughts were on Hall not getting the ball more often later in the game and the jerk said that it was because he had no where to run!!

Beating Pitt right now would be impossible in my opinion. CJL needs to start addressing off-season needs, including evaluation of every co-ordinator he's got; changes need to be made!!

I'm not surprised by this one bit. I mean their game against us was the epitome of stupid coaching. After the first quarter I thought i was watching a circus in ECU instead of a D-IA football team. Very good decision by ECU, better to get rid of him now and start trying to implement a new system, then suffer a couple more terrible seasons. That declined penalty call that set us up for 3rd and long in which we converted and scored is enough for me to say can the guy ;D

Could we take him on as an offensive co-ordinator?? I know it seems far fetched but we can fork over some bucks for him, he can coach his son, and on top of that he can remain on a relatively low profile.

I agree, stupid call. My friend and I were shocked when we saw this; it just put the icing on the retarded cake for ECU's coaching staff. I think UCF could beat ECU, or at least outcoach them, and if all else fails O'Leary is bigger and the game could be decided on arm wrestling 8)

were they the ECU announcers?? It would make sense because of how excited they would always get when ECU scored. When ECU made it 24-10 the announcers said that ECU was "back in the game" They wouldn't stop talking about them after the game either, how about some non-bias announcers for a change?

The key for our bowl lies in Cincy I think. They need two wins to be eligible and if we beat them then you better well believe Louisville will destroy them, so that means they wouldn't be eligible right?? Wouldn't that mean we'd fit into that last spot assuming we become eligible?

Did anybody catch the moronic announcing by the idiots who were on Sunshine?? Towards the beginning of the second quarter, after Crossley's second carry I believe, the announcer was talking about him and meant to say he was a serviceable back, but instead said serviceable black. That's pretty bad, just wanted to see if anyone else caught that.

hey, I'm not trying to defend either of them, they both suck. but I do believe that even though Gachette may have better potential, the coaching staff must see something that just doesn't quite click with him yet. Either that or they don't care beacue they realize they have the crappiest QB tandem in the nation already :-/

that may be true namuh, but there are strong indicators in practice that can tell whether or not a QB is ready to play in a game. Most notably, in the mental side of the game; he can be the next Michael Vick for all I care, but if he can never get the plays right when they're called in, he'll ride the pine

they're not gonna toss away Loius G's redshirt for: A.) a wasted season anyways, and... B.) they probably feel he needs to develop more before he can see playing time. Now I disagree with the offensive system like all of you, and I also believe we seriously need a QB, but you gotta remember this is a TEAM sport. There's 11 guys out there for every play, not just one. We need an overall improvement in offense, and just trying to grab for anything that will help only slightly in this waste of a season would be the real waste. Let him develop, let Leavitt do his job, and let their be a new OC with a sparkling new offense next year free of the Usual Suspects (Julmiste and Banks) ;D

This may be a little off topic, but speaking of UCF... any idea if they will open the upper deck for that game next year, it's garaunteed to be sold out i think and the Glazers would be stupid not to capitalize on it.
