  1. Already booked a room at the Sheraton. There is a special bowl game price of $92.00 per night. Getting in Thursday evening and checking out Saturday before the game.
  2. It means the talent is here and has shown up, big time. It also means we can't let down now. The bowl game is important in giving us a little more visibility (ie: future point standings). GO JL and the FOOTBULLS!!!!!!!
  3. Although we would prefer to play a BCS team, we aren't in that position this year.  And though we have played ECU and won before..........keep in mind that history has a way of repeating itself, like what we did to WVU this week. I bullieve we will win over ECU, but I'm not smug enough to brashly diss our opponent, whatever team it may be. Respect given is respect earned.  I respect any team that makes it to a bowl game.  It means that they won at least 50% of the games they played, and you don't take that fror granted. No Matter...........  GO BULLS!
  4. We will not be in the top 25 at the start of the new season.......BUT........if we get some quality wins early on we could very well be there before season is at the half-way point. We only have 1 OOC top team on our schedule next year Auburn and a mid-level team North Carolina. Elon, UCF and FAU won't help our SOS. Of course, we have our BE teams to play and we need to make a good showing in those games. I'd love to see us in the middle of the top 25 by the end of the season. Until we schedule heavyweight teams we won't be looked at as a serious national contending team.
  5. My take is very simple......JL would not consider moving until he "at least" has USF winning a BE title! He's worked so hard to get the program where it is now. AND, if you BULLIEVE the interview after the WVA game, he has no intention of going anywhere. I am one of those who will accept him at his word!!!!
  6. Add 2 more to the list of those going to the bowl game. Already made reservations for the Sheraton Hotel in Birmingham for the 21st. Driving up on the 21st and driving back to Tampa after the game.
  7. I love it, but don't get too amored with their comments. We my be the real deal, and all USF fans know it, but writers tend to have notoriously short memories. If we keep doing the right thing, then the respect level will be real, not just a one week wonder. I love the Bulls, but am also a realist where the media is concerned.
  8. That is funny. You have a very perverse sense of humor, and I love it. LOL
  9. The chances of Leavitt taking the UM job if offered are slim to none.......and slim left town. He has said he wants to stay here, and I bullieve him. If he decides to leave for another team, I don't think he would do it until he at least had a USF win as Big East Champ.
  10. No, I don't believe we will, but we should move up at least 10 spots from where we are ranked presently. I also bullieve we will get some votes, but not enough to put us into the top 25. If we continue to improve, next year we should be there without question.
  11. You need to take into account the dismissal of Thed Watson. Mark Dile didn't seem to be able to protect Grothe's blind side in order to prevent the sack by Louisville. Dile was filling in Watson't spot, I bullieve this week. Hopefully, Matt will have a little better protection.
  12. You don't take any team you play lightly. Regardless of Syracuse's standings, on any given day the best team in the country can look like bad if they let down their guard against Syracuse. I agree that we are supposed to win. Weren't we supposed to also win against Cincy? Didn't we maybe let our guard down during that game? Nothing is ever sure. I will be rooting for the BULLS to win and be disappointed if we dont. GO BULLS!!!!!!!
  13. Brad, Sorry to have missed seeing you at the game or the Bull Ring, but glad to see that your family is doing well. Hope to see you at the bowl game (wherever it will be).
  14. I would root for any Big East team to be able to make it to the national championship game, but not at the expense of our own team. Yes, I'd like to see a BE team go that route, but as it has been said in earlier posts, USF first, everything else thereafter. The exposure of a win over Louisville a second straight year would be absolutely outrageous. We get so little respect outside of our own conference, some recognition would not hurt one bit.
  15. Mike, as usual great pictures. You are the man!!!!!!
  16. Jason........we'll let you slide this time. Next time it's 50 lashes with a wet noodle!! LOL
  17. We do have a ways to go, to be sure. The defense is good. The offense was the let down. I will reiterate what I have been saying for the past few years, everything wil take care of itself if we avoid two things........those **** penalties and turnovers. My heart is still with the team, and we still have 4 more games to play so GO BULLS!!!!
  18. My personal pick for our uniforms.......White jerseys and gold pants at home. White jerseys and green pants away until the cooler weather sets in. Green on green away in the cooler weather. Just a fashion statement, it doesn't make a difference what the team wears, as long as they bring the ball back home!!!!!! GO BULLS!
  19. Hey, I know we are all up in arms about the crapola Bianchi has been spewing out, but just remember he gets paid to write the BULLcrap, no matter at whose expense. What I do, is ignore it. LOL However, I do have to admit one thing about his writing, it did fire up the team. I have never seen Leavitt so excited at the end of a game as I did Saturday. It was awesome! [smiley=grin.gif] Again, I'd like to get back to the main thrust of my initial post here. My hope is that what we saw Saturday with regard to the reduction in penalties is not a fluke, but a new direction for the team. We have a young team overall, and if we can play with that much control from here on out, there is no telling where we can go. Grothe has a lot of poise, freshman or not. It is obvious to me that the players respect him a lot. Although I love seeing him take the ball himself, I'd like to see him be able to get rid of it more often (making contact with the receivers) and not put himself in a position where he can get injured. I am more confident about the game against Kansas than I was before Saturday's game against UCF. Based on what I saw of the Toledo-Kansas game, we are faster and our QB is heads over their redshirt freshman QB. Again, to my way of thinking, we must continue to keep the penalties down, and it goes without saying, don't turn over the pigskin!!!!!! GO BULLS!!!!!
  20. Even before we joined C-DOA, I had two main concerns regarding our team. Penalties and turnovers!!!! Did anyone take notice of the fact that for the first time in, I don't know how long, we weren't beating ourselves down with penalties at the UCF game????? We have the players, and they have the skill. If they have the discipline and can avoid the two big No-No's to my way of thinking, we can do anything! GO BULLS!!!!!!!
  21. And a big thank you goes to the City of Charlotte for a show of hospitality USF style! Vicki, Eric, athletics staff, fans and alumni, you made our first bowl experience awesome.
  22. There are two things that the team has to worry about, penalties and turnovers. Everything else is insignificant. The Bulls have what it takes to win.
  23. Why does the Coach wait until we are deep in the hole before having PG pass to Peyton? The guy is tremendous. Although Hall can run with the ball, Peyton was there for the long passes. I think we would fair better if he was given more play time. That's only my opinion, but based upon what I have seen on the field.
