  1. Sucks I couldn't be there. Very excited that the team won!
  2. Had I done it I would have done better than you all...like last year.
  3. I think I'm at 125, second row, seats....errr, I forgot.
  4. Guys, he's not lying... I was at the game with him and there were several UF baseball players there. Were you not at the game? They were clearly UF players--as stated by their shirts.
  5. I think you have #1 backwards. Guys would not want to play for a female coach. And I would think it's stupid for a player to want to come here just cuz the coach is good looking.
  6. 35-60 with 10:20 left in the second per ESPN.
  7. We were by the 1st base line. SBC had a social and we had a ton of students there. Did a few things too.  Like when we had a runner at first and their pitcher looked that way we'd all wave to try and brake his concentration.  We also did the "left, right, left" thing when a batter struck out, along with the basic "U-S-F" and "Let's go Bulls" chants.  Maybe you just can't hear it from where you guys were at, but we were definitely doing them. Great game yesterday, plenty of SBC students having fun and that will probably come back for another game. On a side note: That fog was creeping me out.  Never seen so much of it.
  8. Got mine a little over a month ago, so excited!
  9. Wow, that's crazy. So was it a sports related death?
  10. That's from the game when students started chanting his name.
  11. Glad to know I'm not the only one that finds this annoying.
  12. By the way, when the hell did all these chants happen? I didn't hear any of them from SBC nor the Studs. Maybe I was too busy watching the game. Oh well. This hate really needs to stop though...but honestly, I just don't see it happening for some reason.
  13. People only see things in the way that is going to help them. Never did I, or anyone else mention that Yankees fans or whoever fans are better than D-Rays or whoever fans. And do me a favor people, stop calling Northeners obnoxious, not everyone is like that. You all know for a fact all schools, and professional teams have jackass fans.
  14. By the way, that Primeau guy sounds like a jackass. Telling someone they have enough fans so they don't need him? He's a moron. Very rude. As for the fan -- sounds like he can't think for himself. He started to like the Lightning because someone told him to.
  15. I do understand where you're coming from. I'm just saying I disagree. I'll make sure that next time a friend of mine graduates from another school and wants to attend a USF game I tell them, "NO! DON'T YOU KNOW, YOU CAN'T CHEER ON FOR OTHER TEAMS -- ITS AGAINST THE RULES OF BEING A FAN!" Again, I see your point. I just think you need to think about it in another light. What if it was supporting USF? Would we have to turn them down? I'm not for hoping the hometown team loses, they win the Superbowl, good for them, a Stanley Cup win--good for them, I still wouldn't care. I don't think someone should have to like a team just because they play in their backyard.
  16. Randy, don't turn it into a Mac thread. I will be at the game after my 3 hr class. :-[
  17. If he goes to Vandy he's choosing academics. Why would he choose a sport over academics? Like Joe says, everyone has their own story. It would be completely stupid for someone to give up their loyalty to a team just because they've moved. You can't just start liking a team like that, you like a team because you like to, not because you're forced to. People wouldn't know the teams traditions and history..hell, after they've learned them they'd probably move and have to learn new ones, that'd be frustrating. I can guarantee you that many people that believe this would be called bandwagon fans by the real ones. And "Be there through think and thin" applies to the NFL? Not to baseball, the NBA and college? Some people make being a fan so complicated when it doesn't have to be.
  18. I've been in Tampa for almost 6 yrs now and I still do not follow the Bucs and Devil Rays. I grew up cheering for the Yankees and occasionally the Giants so that is the team that I will cheer for. Telling someone that they can't cheer for the team they grew up with plain stupid. I will never be a Devil Rays fan, they're not my team, and IF they ever start being a decent team I will not follow them. Tampa is a bandwagon town, however, when Northeners have teams they will follow them for life. That's what a real fan is, one that will follow them through think and thin. I can guarantee you that IF the D-Rays turn good all the Tampa natives will be the ones bandwagoning, saying they've followed them for years.
  19. I got my tickets a month ago, so excited!! Got them before I even applied for graduation. I don't have to run 1.5 hrs before the game to get my usual seats now.
  20. bad planning on leavitt's part what else is new ;D Leavitt made no mistakes. I just thought wrong for a minute. Read the whole thing next time Smazza.
  21. Well said Wooly.  I just don't see why some complain that it would be hard to attend the game on friday instead of saturday. Just pray it's never played during Americal Idol night...I've read on here about a few people that can't miss that show for anything.
  22. Ok sorry, I'm on crack...haha. Wrong month. This is what having classes all day does. But seriously... I'm not on crack.
