1. The kid has a lot of talent and he has allowed that to get in the way of what is important. He has basically craped on his coaches, his teammates, USF & worst of all...himself. He had his chances, he deserved what was coming to him. If you defend this kid, PUT DOWN THE JOINT!
2. Windbane, I don't understand why you think this is a meaningless thread? This is not a condescending question, but how long have you been following USF football? Every year we have guys kicked off for various issues, I've been watching it happen since '99. The thing that is interesting to me is that they are more often than not "quality" players. Jon Chivas being the earliest I can recall and the list goes on. The reason it is worth talking about is because it says something about the integrity of our PROGRAM. CJL does not care WHO you are, you cross the line you are out. When I was younger I hated this but now I understand why it HAS to be done. Please let us never minimalize this issue.
3. Awww... these kind of situations frustrate me. He is a talented kid who missed the boat. He had his chance. NOW he wants to play for US? The only reason I would say yes to this is because I know CJL will toss his ass the minute he gets out of line.
4. Now this is going to be a great stage for homecoming. ;D
5. ET it was a joke man. I show up to every game and I take about 2 road trips a season. However, I never, ever, trivialize a matchup. I find it impossible, FOR MYSELF, to "look past" a team. That is why I do go to a lot of the games
6. Some of his antics wouldn't work at the pro level, I can't see him smashing his head against Mike Alstott's helmet during halftime. And Gruden's antics are better?
7. I'm not afraid to admit that this thought had crossed my mind on more than one occasion. Anything is possible. I think the point to be made here is that CJL could do a better job than Gruden... hands down.
8. Meaning?  He's more like 6-2 230lbs....but that is 100% legit now, anyone that says he's smaller then that has it wrong. I think his height and weight is an issue only depending upon where he stands on the field. I can sacrafice size at an OLB postition if the kid has strength and speed, can't make that same sacrafice in the middle. At MLB I want a kid who is big and physical meeting RB's face to face not side to side.
9. Our guys are more talented through the entire roster and WHEN each player plays his best, Elon will suffer ! The 2006 team was a much different team the first two games and the last 2 games. The 2007 team will be much better than the 2006 team was at the end. And of course you need to show up for the WIN ! This will be a great opportunity to see most of our BULLS ! Go BULLS !!!  [smiley=GoBulls.gif] Sooo, should I show up to the game or not? :-/
10. 6'3/ 240 for a LB... :-? Even if that is inflated I hope this kid is chizled and fast. Is he an OLB?
11. This is a very well written article. If the critics are truely silenced in their skeptisism of the BE then this only further solidifies the opportunity for us to be playing a NC game in the near future.
12. To answer the question asked in the subject area of this post... NO and I think the better question to ask is, "Are we spoiled?" Yes
13. Wow, look at who we lost to last year and nearly lost too. My god, I'm glad you have that kind of optimism, I wish I could have half of it. It sucks being a realist. I guess I shouldn't even show up for the game right?
14. what is a mother in law house? you need to come to the big city and stop believing urban legends schiano has done a phenomenial job and penn state job will be his if he wants it leavitt can learn a few things from rutgers coach Funny...it seems to me that Shiano is always a sloppy second. .
15. If that's true then it's only better news for us. To quote the immortal Bdiddy (a close friend of mine on this board), "you know what though," it doesn't really matter if they lost half their team they'll be just as young as us and if the critics make excuses for them then it only makes our argument stronger.
16. I really don't see this happening. They are the only team that beat the national champions. They are going to have high hopes going into this season. How can the pundits say, "a down year" after just one game. Not possible. Won't happen. Don't believe it.
17. OUch they haven't done this in hillsborough...yet. Oh no what am I going to do during my planning period!? ;D
18. Should we move this garbage?  I really don't think we should, we need to harp on this until we kick their ass. UNREAL to me, can anyone explain to me how he comes up with this? I just don't get this ranking at all.
19. I really don't know if coach Mac is the best man for the job but it doesn't make any sense to me to not support our bulls and our coach when there is a CHANCE.
20. WHEN we beat Auburn our status among the best (top 25) will be solidified. The critics will now longer be able to push us out of the picture because we are a young team lacking "tradition". WE control our own destiny, no one else. Something special will begin to happen come August and Auburn will be the catalyst exploding our BULLS onto the NATIONAL stage. We won't be denied. Boo-ya-ka-sha, Respect Da' Bulls!
21. ****...being a parent has it's ups and downs, I'm going to miss everyone of these games.
