  1. Special teams continues to concern me. We can't have mistakes like that against tha 'ville. FAMU and UCF shouldn't be giving us problems on special teams.
  2. First, the student section was rocking! I think there must have been a spill-over of USF students into the other sections. Would anyone happen to know how many students (comp tickets) were in attendance? Second, the Herd of Thunder (HOT) was amazing tonight! Not only did they play well at halftime, but they also kept the crowd pumped with our fight song, March victorious, et al at key moments of the game. If the UCF fans were a little classier pre/post game, then this would have been an absolutely perfect game. I think USF totally outshined UCF in every facet of the day. Great gameday atmosphere. It was electric.
  3. [quote author=USFisStromboni And lastly, I figured that a lot of Bulls fans were going to be jerks.  Instead, many were cordial and classy.  I appreciate that.  Enjoy the win and good luck the rest of the season.
  4. UCF fans sure did talk a lot of smack before the game. But, as soon as the game ended they couldn't take the smack back at them. They all wanted to pick fights everyone. They are THE worst fans i've seen come to Ray Jay. I guess you get to be that way when u are 0-17
  5. I sat next to the HOT during the game, and they really added great flavor to my gameday experience. After every first down, touchdown, and great play they would play something. I wish all the old farts (thanks for donating, though) around me would be louder and put those bull horns in the air. Man, I miss the student section!!
  6. Denson looked like a deer in headlights out there. Definitely opted to run first before surveying his recievers. Simpson and Nicholas looked really impressive. As long as the recievers catch what's thrown in their direction, PJ should have a solid game next week. See u all at Ray Jay when the Bulls stampede through the Golden Turds.
  7. You have to keep things in perspective, the return game was against 1-AA FAMU. USF's speed in the return game can be seen most obviously playing against a team of this caliber--not to knock the Rattlers. Missing PAT's and FG's is inexcusable, and getting a punt blocked is embarrassing. Special Teams is what makes or breaks a game. If we have a close one with UCF, special teams may make or break us. Just my opinion
  8. I'll be there. Where will everyone from this message board be tailgating? It would be nice to meet everyone from here.
  9. There have been rumblings about the Marshall Center renovation since I did my undergrad at USF from 97-01. I hope they actually get things into gear because we desparately need a revamped student union to cater to our growing enrollment. get it done conway
  10. Does anyone have any information about any of the late signings that USF is considering? Some basic info, without stepping on Rivals toes, would be appreciated. Paisa
  11. what about that double overtime win against louisville at Ray Jay a few years ago? Whattagame!
  12. I totally agree. Bruce Webber did some amazing things with the Salukis of SIU, and now he's coaching the number one team in the country. We're putting RMC in a much better situation to recruit than he had with WMU in the MAC conference. If he was able to compile competitive teams with the resources he had at WMU, then imagine what he can do when USF athletics starts pumping more money into all departments as a result of our Big East affiliation. RMC was able to do a lot with very little;it'll be interesting to see what he can do when he has a little more. If Bruce Webber could do it, then why not RMC?
  13. And those were the recruits he was able to lure to lovely K-zoo, Michigan to play in the oh so stellar MAC conference (sorry bobcat).  People at WMU were really sad to see RMC go; i honestly think we may have the "right coach at the right time." Go Bulls!
  14. in the first round of NIT action. WMU over Marquette; i'm surprised noone has posted anything about this considering that the RMC's old WMU team went dancing last year and is making a splash in the NIT this year. http://sports-att.espn.go.com/ncb/recap?gameId=250730269
  15. I've been supporting our basketbulls all season long because I could see the scrappiness and tenacity that these kids play with. We're just a few players short of having the kind of team that RMC can do some scary things with in the Big East. Start jumping on the ship now, cause we're sailing off!!
  16. Amen to that! To those on the CRMc stinks bandwagon, stop your whining, go to the games, support financially, and support USF (don't tear it down). We will get there.
  17. How about something in the price range of a recent law school graduate who has some loans to pay off? What sections, which are available to someone in my price range, give me the best run for my money?
  18. If I buy season tix this year, what section gives me the best bang for the buck? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
  19. When I asked CJL about what his plans are for the offense next year during the Signing Day Mixer, he seemed really high on Denson. Talent-wise, Denson may be a lot better than Marquell. With a quarterback that we can trust in the pocket(or scrambling), a stud running back in Hill, a great recieving core, and a good offensive line, Leavitt alluded to bringing the offense back to the level, if not better, than when Quell was at the helm. However, I'm not sure how the TE's fit in, unless they are pass-catching TE's.
  20. So if we can snag RJF and a few other surprises, then I'm sure we can pass Tha Ville for the best recruiting class in the NBE, right?
  21. waiting to sign besides Jean-Francois? And is Carlton Hill the most highly touted recruit to ever be signed to USF football?? I'm so **** pumped!
  22. Yea, what's up with that billboard? I had no clue Rutgers recruited that heavily out of tampa to warrant placing a billboard on I-4. I hope he has fun in the snow and medical waste infested waters of Jersey!
  23. If there is one word I can use to describe our USF Men's Basketball Team it would be "scrappy." The players are coming together to play some great team ball. That has been the one great constant with this team so far this season. I look forward to seeing some conference upsets in the near future. Have faith in coach RMc
  24. Isn't it cheaper if you are a member of the alumni association?
