USF basically needs to win their last 3 games and then have a decent showing in AAC Tournament. To be safe just win the AAC tournament which is what I believe they will end up doing. Go Bulls!!

No matter what happens nothing can take away this historic season. 13 game win streak sets program records. 1st ever top 25 ranking. On the brink of 1st ever AAC regular season championship.

Heck yeah! I feel that is exactly what we are going to see play out. USF’s staff basically has tons of ACC experience already so they are no strangers to that conference. Not to mention USF was conference mates with some of the schools already.

Definitely The University of South Florida. Seeing the 25 ranking next to SOUTH FLORIDA today looks too sweet!

This will pretty much move USF to the ACC. It was good to beat SMU on ESPN2 with the sell out crowd. That is helping

I’m at work & right now I have tears of joy. Tear of joy. I remember when I was a USF student during the Seth Greenberg era thinking it won’t be long before USF cracks the top 25. Little did I know how long it would take. Wow! Great day imo.

This was on my bucket list to see USF mens hoops crack the top 25. Amazing times!! Thanks to all for making this dream become a reality!

I guess both CAAR & CAG proved that you can turn around programs in about one season which to me is amazing in itself. All you have to do is go back to ready all the doom & gloom posts on this message board last February and never believe things would turn around so fast. I don’t blame coaches or players looking out for themselves & family. Coaches & players easily get fired or benched so I’m happy for them to see opportunities come their way. It means they are doing well at USF and I will take that any day over the alternative.

Exactly. No matter what happens nothing can take away from the fun of this season. USF will be hanging a regular season AAC championship banner so that is pretty cool in itself. I will be a fan of CAAR even after he leaves for the bigger basketball schools. I believe he is a going to be a college hoops coaching legend if he decides to stay with college. CAAR’a family has NBA roots so maybe he goes into the NBA later on in his career. Hopefully MK is able to keep him at USF but if not hopefully CAAR helps recommend his replacement at USF that will continue that momentum. Kennesaw St fans still love CAAR even after he left so hopefully USF fans will do the same.

Can’t really compare that to Kennesaw St as he was there for about 4 years. I will be shocked if CAAR is here for 2 to be honest. That is ok because he already proved that winning can be done at USF regarding men’s hoops. If he goes I wish him the best and he would be the 1st USF mens coach to leave for another opportunity since Seth Greenberg. And Seth Greenberg saw the writing on the wall at USF so he jumped ship before he got fired imo. USF just needs to make sure they have someone to take the reigns and all will be fine. Think of it as how the Gonzaga program was built with many different coaches leaving before Mark Few became that program’s mainstay. Treat it like a business and don’t change what is working like Coach Strong did with the momentum that CWT had going for football before he left.

The thing regarding Kennesaw St is that it took CAAR a few seasons before getting that program rolling last season. He only won 1 freaking game during his 1st season coaching there before he turned it around

No matter what happens at least CAAR has shown the Nation that it is possible to win at USF for men’s hoops. USF just will have to figure out who can carry the momentum if CAAR or CAG leave. Treat it like a business and stick with what is working for USF. That is the key to the longevity success of USF athletics imo.

Been hearing tickets are going fast for the final home game of the season against Tulane. Hopefully that one sells out to give this team many thanks!

After USF’s win over SMU today I moved USF to an at large bid to the NCAA tournament. Win the next three & they are definitely in no matter what happens in the AAC. I’m not a bracktologist but I did stay at a Holiday Inn…..

Thanks for starting this thread. I plan to post as many memorable moments that as are experiencing during this magical season. We are going to continue to enjoy the ride..
