I had a great time again. It's a great venue, and I hope we continue it next year.

Very true... However, we lost respect and free advertising in all of the national coverage the "Big East Championship" would have brought us. This was a HUGE loss today, no doubt.

The Mountaineers won't even show up because they already have the Big East Championship. What a letdown!

We need to send the "special" Bulls to ESPN and Kirk Herbstreit if we win the Big East.

I don't think they would either, but there are business owners on here that may not have the resources of an ad agency and/or marketing department.

Not to bring this up again, but I have to agree with KnightLight on this one... I work for an ad agency here in town, and it is widely known (in the ad world) that the Tampa Tribune's market is Hillsborough Co and some of Pasco. The Trib reaches MORE people in Hillsborough than the St. Pete Times. Here is proof from a neutral entity, Scarborough Research 2005, release 1 (a syndicated research company that studies individual markets): There are 821,500 adults in Hillsborough Co. The Mon-Sat Tribune Reaches: 342,700 The Mon-Sat Times Reaches: 71,100 The Sun Tribune Reaches: 511,300 The Sun Times Reaches: 79,100 I think the marketing department is doing a wonderful job. Their internal research is pointing them in a certain direction and that's the direction we're headed. Hell, they may have even been able to negotiate a better deal with the Times. However, we must get the facts straight on this board about where the newspaper markets in Tampa are because we don't want people making bad decisions based off of hearsay.

I say we throw some of these into our stampede of mini bulls if we end up in the Sugar Bowl. I think USF marketing is taking the right steps for growing USF football.  The radio station partnerships were key, refering to WDAE "the sports animal" and WFLA "our Bulls flagship station."  I think they need to rethink their other media partnerships, but it is a good start. Keep getting Jim Leavitt out there to talk to those stations. If we beat UCONN, USF football will be all over the place in the media. We should have a nice crowd.

If were competing for the Big East Championship, you will see the fans. I BULLieve... At least I hope so. :-/

I know, I know... It's a little bit premature... BUT, I can't wait to meet the Atlanta Watch Party people for the Sugar Bowl. 8)

I'd probably wear it if it was made available.  Not sure if I'd buy one.  It's a good advertisement for the board, for sure.  You can't beat having walking billboards at the football games.

Sent my feed back to ESPN: Dear ESPN, One of my favorite memories of USF football was when USF destroyed Kentucky Wesleyan in their first ever game, 80-3. It was certainly a great game, in fact, most Tampa media outlets covered the one sided Bulls win and it really sent a message to the Tampa community. I hope you consider my memory for your next edition of the encyclopedia. It will probably make a better story, if only for the sake of accuracy.
