  1. someone else already posted this article, but still makes me laugh
  2. i wouldnt call him unproductive, when he is healthy he is still good for around a .300avg, 30+ HR, 100 RBI type numbers ... hardly unproductive
  3. that's what I meant, I wasn't paying attention/reading clearly when I posted the last thing... I was half-heartedly paying attention in class when I posted that
  4. wait, i thought they were shopping him around as of like 2 days ago?
  5. USC player HAD an agent LSU players DID NOT HAVE agents take your pick
  6. don't worry, smokey has been receiving all the necessary shots to prevent him from catching any diseases by the way, this happens a lot. Smokey is a bad ass. There are several pictures out there of SMokey trying to rip off referees arms.
  7. it's ok if you have cankles, you can admit it and not blame it on an ankle sprain!
  8. if ND played anything near a real schedule someone might care what he has to say any team that plays a stretch of Army, Navy, Air Force, UNC does not deserve to whine about rankings I think they tried to pull a 2-1 with the Coast Guard but their schedule was already full...
  9. buying a player's family house or telling kids they should sign with a certain agent... i think you can decide which is worse
  10. just making sure it was clear, i don't think the other 432 threads conveyed exactly the same sentiment
  11. I think that sums up last nights effort. The defense should be pretty proud of themselves, but the offense, special teams, and coaching were just flat out embarrassing.
  12. Rutgers would not run the ball on most teams in the top 10, and their passing offense would get eaten alive. Most of the top 10 teams would beat RU by 10+ points because once their running game gets shut down, they have nothing and it would only get worse if they are trying to play catch up all game and passing most of the time so Rutgers is good team, top 20, but by no means a great team
  13. like he said, it is a make or break game for our program, not just this season. The name USF is starting to leak out to more and more people, so lots of people will be tuning in to see what USF is really about. We come out and win, and we have a new, huge set of believers. We come out and lose, and we give a huge number of people another reason to dismiss the program as just another team.
  14. Bingo! not sure where they would set up the speakers with the setup of RayJ, but here we have speakers in front of the student sections that play the band music... not sure if they go around the whole stadium or not
  15. 35-0 against the starters does not lie, there is no way to twist that at all, not even for you
  16. If Tennessee, AUburn, or Florida finish with one loss, they will beat out an undefeated WVU or UL. UT would have beaten Cal, UGA, LSU, Arkansas, and won the SEC champ. game UF would have beaten UT, LSU, UGA, FSU and won the SECCG AUburn would have beaten LSU, UF, UGA, Washington St. (computers say they are good somehow), and won the SECCG Arkansas is probably too low in the rankings to make the jump now, but if they win out they will have wins over Auburn, UT, LSU, and won the SECCG. However, all hell is going to break loose when Cal runs the table and stays ahead of Tennessee. Cal is ranked ahead of UT right now, even though UT throttled Cal in the first game of the season.
  17. you can look at it two ways... 1) There is nothing else to do or 2) the game is THE thing to do, nothing else even matters. At UT, for example, there are things to do in Knoxville other days, but other events know not to schedule anything on game days because nobody cares what else is going on. U2 would have a hard time selling out a concert on a big game day here. And to the original question, it is a lot of local people that fill the stands. Alumni get scattered throughout the region/country after graduation, but the locals never go anywhere. Alumni can only make certain games due to location, but locals can make every game. Local support is crucial to any teams success
  18. Let me hear you tell that to the Sheriff! that's obviously a person with rational judgment
  19. Does Gator's still have Mug night? You buy a mug and kept bringing it back for like $1 refills, i think, and they had Yuengling on tap... loved that
  20. Gators is by far the best option on that list, for students on a budget (Selmons otherwise). Everyone that hates on Gators because of the name really needs help. I would understand if the place were called Albert Gators and the whole place was orange and blue, but it is a corporate name.
  21. geez, a stadium is probably 10-15 years out and people are ALREADY complaining about parking.... when a stadium is built, you will find all kinds of creative place to park, that won't be a problem at all
  22. i meant i was happy to see them lose because it brings the Vols back into the picture for the SEC race
  23. i think i can legitimately say that I was VERY happy to see the gaytors lose
  24. : UF fans never let you down with their arrogance
  25. yes, USC and Clemson declined bowl bids in Lou Holt's last year after their fight... and their fight looked pretty tame compared to what happened with UM/FIU, if I remember correctly
