yeah I said that and it is still true.  He has publicly stated numerous times that he wants to break kareem's record.  If he really does go to LA, payton and malone are both going to have to check their enormous egos at the door or they will cause more harm than good for the lakers. IF  Phil can get them all on the same page and fucntioning in the triangle, they could be one of the best teams ever and easily win 70 games.  And i think Rick Fox would be a better option at SF, he is more of a team player and the are sure as heck going to need somebody out there unselfish. on a side note, i recently read the Spurs are pursuing Alonzo mourning, since he is good friends with Kidd and they need a center. If SA gets mourning, Kidd will almost undoubtedly follow. Kidd, Ginobli, Duncan, Mourning, and dont remember there SF, but that could be a pretty **** good western conference final.
