  1. the thursday idea was instead of having monday night games if I remember correctly, so college could easily be switched to monday night. And i like the later games, you dont have to start tailgating at the crack of dawn anymore! you can at least start at 8-9 now!
  2. peyton deserves to paid more than Culpepper, but nobody really deserves what Culpepper got. Peyton is the only QB in the NFL that has full control of his team on the field. He lines up, sees the defense and calls the plays accordingly. No QB has the responsibility he does. If the Colts dont resign him, they are nuts and there are numerous teams that will pay whatever he wants.
  3. she very easily could have been a few shots lower, the first day she had several puts that spun out or barely missed. however I guess those balance out the couple of 50 footers she drained on friday. Still very impressive for a 14 year old girl to shoot the same as Jim Furyk, Ken Perry, Ben Curtis and Darren Clarke.
  4. not sure how many losses but they have ZERO wins, pretty sure I heard that on some NFL show this week...
  5. how exactly is George on the hot seat? This offseason he has brought in Sheffield, Brown, Vazquez, Tom Gordon and he is no where near done. I hate the Yankees and he has signed numerous talented players, just because Clemens and Pettie are gone does not mean they are done. Vazquez was 2 in K's in the NL and 3 in IP in the NL. brown was 2 in ERA in the NL. I think they can replace Pettite and an over the hill Clemens
  6. the deal that has been circulating is arod for manny and then shipping Nomar somewhere like Anaheim but that might not hold with the Angels signing colon
  7. are you nuts? They will win 100 games. They are not done. They will re-sign Petitte. They have a chance to get K. Brown who came back very strong last year. They just signed Gordon. They are close to signing Sheffield. Forgot gelling, they have enough firepower to overcome teams in the early part of the season while the gel. *disclaimer:I HATE THE YANKEES and I still am positive they will dominate next year*
  8. if the Bucs take a 7+ mill cap hit, that is huge!! Yes it is less than the 8+ they would be paying him but at least you have a player giving you something on the field where as a cap hit leaves you with no player and no money to sign a different player. They will work out a trade with some stupid team so they will not take a large cap hit and have the services of a player. The bucs have some of the best capologist in the NFL, they are too smart to take that large of a hit.
  9. P. Diddy finished the marathon today in under 4 hrs (3:58). Nothing to brag about but nothing to be ashamed of either. Completing a marathon is impressive no matter how fast you do it. And he rasied a lot of money and got a lot of publicity for his charity.
  10. atlanta has played more games than TB has... they have more oppotunity to gain points than TB has so far, it will even out later. Like mentioned above, WAY too early to be looking at points. Plus the regular season doesnt matter anyways
  11. The people also backed off because it was a line drive if I remember correctly. I'm gonna backoff/dodge a line drive into the stands, anyone halfway sane would.
  12. AHHH :o ;D ;D That's too much.... so what's the over/under on the # of beers that kid is currently wearing? 20, 50, 10,000??
  13. What the heck happened??? I wasn't really watching the game, especially after I saw the cubs were up 3-0 with Prior mowing 'em down. Geez I beleive that could be classified as a choke job, six outs away from the world seires and you let them drop 8?!?! in an inning. WOW!
  14. how can they say they were too good for the ASC if they were only averaging 12-13 ppg? I could understand if they were both averaging like 20 and won 20 games a year, but last i checked they didnt make UCF that much better.... not a slam against UCF just a slam at those guys for sounding like pricks in the article
  15. well it was just a matter of time because of the Madden curse. Every year that the Madden Football video game has featured a player on the cover, that player has had injury problems or sucked following the games release. Madden 2001- eddie george Madden 2002- Dante Culpepper Madeen 2003- Marshall Faulk and guess who is on Madden 2004- Mike Vick
  16. Albert Belle, he hasnt played for several years and yet he is still the highest paid player on the orioles roster!
  17. yeah I said that and it is still true.  He has publicly stated numerous times that he wants to break kareem's record.  If he really does go to LA, payton and malone are both going to have to check their enormous egos at the door or they will cause more harm than good for the lakers. IF  Phil can get them all on the same page and fucntioning in the triangle, they could be one of the best teams ever and easily win 70 games.  And i think Rick Fox would be a better option at SF, he is more of a team player and the are sure as heck going to need somebody out there unselfish. on a side note, i recently read the Spurs are pursuing Alonzo mourning, since he is good friends with Kidd and they need a center. If SA gets mourning, Kidd will almost undoubtedly follow. Kidd, Ginobli, Duncan, Mourning, and dont remember there SF, but that could be a pretty **** good western conference final.
