  1. the lions should make that trade any day! to pick up two first round choices and a second round choice is a great trade! For the pats, what the heck are they thinking? Taylor is good, but they are throwing away a lot to risk on one player
  2. thanks i was too lazy to find that... he was listed at 205 in the rivals database around signing time
  3. hall has at least 25 pounds over TJ and they are the same height... if you saw some of the pics of Hall on rivals, he looks like a beast! Did Warrick Dunn ever have 20+ carries consistenlty at FSU?? I really dont know, its an open question cause im curious since several have compared TJ to an early Dunn.
  4. how does having satellite campus' further increase our image of being a commuter school??
  5. in all seriousness... am I the only person that thought of having a joint partnership in this school with UCF? It could serve as a jumpstart to building I-4 into the technoligcal corridor that has always been talked about. If nothing else we could compete with IUPUI for the worst name in college... USCFL Universities of South and Central Florida at Lakeland :
  6. TJ would not make it two years if he came in and got tons of carries... he would be in pieces! I was just reminded recently that he is only like 5' 9 and 175 or so... if he is given tons of carries he most likely would not be able to handle to beating he would take. IF Hall comes in to camp in good shape and IF the O Line can show some run blocking abilities, I think hall will get around 800 yards this year... which is about double what any back has had the past three years.
  7. i guarantee you that CJL will have a say... if not a big say... in the AD hiring process. The admin knows that football is our ticket to success overall as a university. If football can become succesful the amount of national attention USF would receive is better than any marketking campaign anybody could ever put together for the school
  8. i think the MSU assoc. Ad is the early frontrunner with that kind of track record!
  9. oops... my bad... I just assumed sicne the Yanks had an exhibition game when they came back that the games in japan were only ex. games too. i will shut up now :-X
  10. its not opening day.. it is still exhibition games... this was just part of their attempt to attract more global fans and from what I heard they did very good. something like 34k just at one of the practices the other day! you will know when real opening day is because there will be back to back to back games on ESPN and ESPN2 and its really hard to consider baseball on the back burner, when MLB offseason TRADES were getting more airtime than any NBA or NHL GAMES!
  11. http://www.usforacle.com/vnews/display.v/ART/2004/03/30/40697b6049514 Chuck Neinas and a 10-member search committee will hold the first meeting today in a campaign that will aim to find a new athletic director for USF by early summer. Neinas, president of the Neinas Sports Services Consulting Firm in Boulder, Colo., was hired March 11 to assist in finding a replacement for former AD Lee Roy Selmon. Today, after taking time to assess the university's needs and objectives in the search, Neinas and the committee are ready to get started. "We're going to pull it into high gear and are ready to get the search going with the search consultant coming (today)," said committee member Michael Rierson. "He's met everyone at USF, and he's formed a job description that we will need in order to determine exactly what it is we are looking for." Rierson is the vice president of University Advancement and is sharing responsibilities of AD with USF chief financial officer Carl Carlucci. He said shortly after Selmon resigned Feb. 26 that he hoped to have a new director in place by early summer. Monday he said that "absolutely remains" a realistic goal. Michelle Carlyon, USF's senior media relations coordinator, said the position is not yet open because the university has not yet advertised for applications and there are no candidates for the position. Search committee member Vicky Medlock, associate vice president of university advancement, confirmed that though the committee has received applications, they will not be considered and the applicants will need to reapply once the committee is prepared to accept them. The list of applicants, Medlock said, would be made available at the meeting today. Neinas, 72, served as commissioner of the Big Eight Conference, which included Oklahoma, where Selmon spent four years as a dominant defensive lineman from 1971 to 1979. After being hired to consult the committee, Neinas spent two days on the USF campus meeting with USF President Judy Genshaft, Selmon, football coach Jim Leavitt and other athletic department staff and key figures in the search to determine what the university is looking for out of the athletic director
  12. no what really is depressing is that i have two more months until I am legally allowed to drink... :
  13. those are def. not the real helmets... wrong company on the front sticker, black facemask instead of green and definitely the wrong logo on the sides not even close, I wouldnt pay $10 for that
  14. and you wouldnt be "excited" if you ran into a gnat grad working the drive thru in California or somewhere outised the southeast?
  15. no internet broadcast from USF... if there is one it is coming from USM live gametracker is available at http://gobulls.usf.edu/Sports/main.asp the link is at the very top of the page
  16. and that is why i cross my fingers every morning when i open up bulls.tbo.com lately everything has been bad news!
  17. this is why i am now afraid of reading the tribune when I wake up in the morning! it seems every day there is some new kind of player problems for our football team. I really feel like we are going to have a monumental collapse (ie UCF last year) if this crap keeps going on! i'm not sure who because there isnt really a big time senior that sticks out in my mind currently, but someone needs to step up and get the troops inline before it's too late.
  18. hopefully i'll show my finals who's boss! ;D
  19. i tried to sign up a week or so ago but it was already full, i am in the 98th percentile on espn.com right now so I would be kickin your asses!
  20. times were run in grass as compared ot other times being run on a track, that would make a difference in the times, possibly as much as a tenth of a second so theres your difference
  21. found this interesting... Mike Williams is slated to work out for NFL personnel on April 8 on the campus of the University of South Florida in Tampa.
