  1. what were at last year, 15k or so?? my guess would be 18k tops
  2. i think it may have been USC, cause i recal the maroon and yellow scheme as well
  3. they already took the liberty of proviiding their insightful, creative and original comments on their rivals board :
  4. TBS is big 12 only, possibly pac 10 cause i remember watching oregon one night on there but they may have been palying a big 12 team... it depends on the rest of the games that day on whether or not we could get primetime billing.
  5. not many people know about it and a lot of people are leaving town for the weekend due to the holidays, so don't expect a big crowd
  6. d'oh!! so close today!! 3-2 bottom of the 9th Bases loaded one out AND they ground out into a double play!! :
  7. if you mean have her pitching overhand, I HIGHLY doubt she would hit the 80's. One, it is a completely different motion and arm usage from underhand to overhand. Two, no offense, but she is a girl. Many guys would have problems breaking into the 80's.

  9. well thats positive news coming out of the trib for the first time in a while... :
  10. USF won 10-8 in the 14th... Nick Cardeiri won it somehow, not sure how as I stopped listening in the 13th
  11. well that would mean A LOT of national exposure since that would prob be the only game on
  12. its brandon Fazza FWIW and voting is 4/7 and 4/8, but other than that.... VOTE FOR HIM!! check out his website http://www.bulls4u.org
  13. http://www.collegefootballnews.com/Conference_USA/2004_Previews/TCU_Preview.htm it was a good idea to individually scout each team, but if you wait long enough CFN will it do it for you...
  14. and if we want to start judging pitchers by game one Ro y halladay should just retire after getting shallakced by the TIGERS!!!
  15. c'mon to say baseball is anywhere close to hockey is ridiculous. MLB is a very secure second in the major sport rankings. NFL is a distant first and beginning to lap the field. MLB is a secure second since the NBA is painful to watch. NBA only finishes third because NHL is losing a pulse. NHL needs a lot of work and their labor disputes are not going to help. There is prob a very good argument for Nascar to be at least number 3 on that list if you really wanted too.
  16. Pedro was the not same dominant pitcher he was in the past on Sunday night and that was obvious to anybody watching. To make assumptions about his season after sunday night is asinine though. One it was the first game of the season. Two, the conditions were horrendous. After spending two months in FL weather to go to baltimore in that blistering cold weather will test any pitcher. Dont get me wrong I hate pedro and his ugly ass afro/jerry curl/mullet hair but you cant discount him after one shaky start.
  17. after thinking about this some more... if the mother of his child would have not held him responsible for another freakin month, she would have been able to milk him for a lot more after he gets drafted...
  18. man if we could get all the player's baby momma's, kids, and parole officers to attend games we would have a sellout every weekend! is it really that hard for these guys to WRAP IT UP :
  19. i would think the salary ranges have increased since AFL has increased in popularity and they seem to have a decent tv deal in place now. I highly doubt he is making a 100k on the practice squad though. I would be surpirsed to see NFL players making that on a practice squad. I think 25k and benefits would be a better estimate
  20. the 42st pedestrain bridge/tunnel idea has been tossed around for a while... I know I heard stuff about that when I arrived here (fall 2001) and still hear rumblings about it every now and then. Maybe the wheels are finally churning on that project as it would be a great asset and really make that area A LOT safer. There are no telling how many times I see people running across fletcher or on their bikes just missing cars! Im not sure what USF's specific title is over Fontana currently, but all signs have been switched to USF signs and all students in Fontana are considered on campus living students assigned through USF Residence Services or whoever assigns dorms. I was told at somepoint that it was only temporary, which would be nice because Fontana is a complete dump! It would be really nice for some nice condo/townhome to be in the USF area because it is much smarter to buy one of those instead of renting for 4 years! The condo's in the immediate USF are are not the nicest places in the world and the nice condo/townhomes are in New Tampa east of 75 generally. I would have loved to have bought a condo instead of having to rent an apt for the last couple years, but I could never find anything reasonable and close. And living that close to the Greenery would provide unlimited opportunities for relizing the FULL college experience as discussed above ;D
  21. Fontana is currently under USF ownership and I was under the impression that it was only temporary? It is nice to see 42nd st getting a face lift sicne student traffic through there is very heavy. The new apt's being finished now, Monticello (directly across from Cambridge woods) look very ncie and should be done soon.
