    I miss it all! The beer was colder, the stadium was filled, the sun wasn’t as hot, the teams were more exciting, my wife was younger, and we were young misfit warrior kings that felt we could beat the world now we have lived long enough to know the disappointments of life.

    The only way to win the AAC is to win a ticket onto one of the lifeboats off of it, who won the last foot race of the passengers left on the Titanic? Who won the last Game of Gin? Did anyone left on the boat as it sank actually win anything?

    If any of our coaches could have done it it’s CJL, he literally worked a miracle here and we were like I don’t really like fish and bread and this wine isn’t even a good vintage, now go fetch some more water and try again.

    I would much rather be winning 9 games and losing the BEAST every season while beating up on marquee out of conference opponents than losing to marquee programs and winning 9 AAC games to take the AAC conference championship every season and I feel that anyone that says they don’t feel that way is being entirely disingenuous. So we don’t have conference hardware? Does the AAC give out a conference championship? Where would you put it? Somewhere below your presidents blue athletic patches from elementary school? And maybe just above your coed kickball participation trophy?

    This!!!! When people were crying about plateaus they should have cared more about falling into the valleys we have been damned to.

    See UCF and the fact they are not a marquee program thus a win against them cannot be marquee. They are a perennial cellar dwelling G5 program that is on a two year hot streak in 11 game seasons against not so hot talent. We have never even seen a recruiting class for their marshmallow looking coach and not one person that’s ever beaten them had ever bragged to one person about it.

    People are always like you think the world is flat? And I’m like no what do you think I am stupid or something? Have you ever been to a planetarium or seen the Truman show? That’s the look behind the curtain and our G-ds are just looking down and us and laughing as they shake our ant farm.

    Well I only know of someone trying it for the visitor. I say we rotate and see if anything gives us results. Also we should always wear the white uniforms so we stay cooler, it’s science.

    7-4 Pitt Team that barely beat the 7-4 GTech that we beat, Pitt is hardly world beaters for having won that half of the ACC and UCF surely isn’t a world beater for having beat them at home.

    They are both crappy Conference USA call ups that play in the AAC, they are both equally marquee and that marquee just happens to be well on the wrong side of the tracks.

    UCF isn’t worth a **** either, if we beat them no one will be talking about the big win we had they will be talking about UCF being the weak scheduled paper tigers everyone knew would come down to earth.

    Less than a recruiting cycle ago they went defeated and up until 2/3 of the season into last year no one thought much about them. Sometimes people win the lottery and they are richer than the queen of England for a few years but they give it back. UCF has had a cute little extra buy week instead of playing a P5 team, G5 run for the last couple of years but my money is on them coming back down to earth and not being the next Alabama.

    And we were a few lucky breaks from winning a couple more and those seasons we were a few bad breaks away from going defeated.
