  1. If I question his morals it would be what do they gain you in terms of wins and losses, if I question his judgment it is because it is leading to the most losses and the least wins of anyone we have ever had (which is a pretty remarkable accomplishment that deserves a closer look than well it’s everyone else’s fault and at least he tried because everyone else has done better, every time), on this I was pretty sure that something was different and since it was Ford that happens to over share on social media I wondered if that was the difference or if we would now be stating the reason going forward. It was more curiosity than anything else, if I thought there were objective morals I am sure I would think CJS is probably more moral than I am but as I do not I think his only moral obligation is to win football games in which case he would be on the fast track to football hell and the time to repent is now.
  2. This isn’t bad mouthing anyone in any degree. I asked if Ford had posted something and that’s why we said something as it seems like something Ford would do and it was the opposite of what we said we were going to do. You responded with nope it’s because CJS is open unlike other coaches. I pointed out that this was the position he took not others and then you got mad and called me names which is your typical response to most subjects.
  3. No it was definitely the stated policy of the program under his reign as he was the only coach we have that has faced Covid. It was said that we would only hear moments before the game who was out and with no stated reason for them not playing.
  4. I thought we didn’t talk about it, did he over share on social media or something?
  5. In literally every single world of every single prediction, no one had us going defeated this season on our path towards improvement and that it was inevitable is a fairly recent development based mainly on the idea that CJS couldn’t possibly be part of our current problem.
  6. I think we should recruit anyone that helps us win more games and that’s the only thing we need to be focused on. Football has an expectation that you are going to bend the rules and that’s why there are refs all over the field who’s job it is to decide when you are pushing the envelope too much. Being honest rule following straight a student upstanding citizens is a nice thing but it’s a luxury only afforded to people that actually win more games than they lose so that’s where I would focus if I cared about doing any of those silly things for any extended period of time.
  7. If he is holding out for the easiest to deal with kids that commit the earliest and take no other free trips to cool places or transfer back home from bigger programs that didn’t pan out that sounds a lot more like a recipe for a Skippy crew than a CWT one
  8. My biggest issues were that we never beat a team I had heard of until after CWT left and that he wasn’t here long enough to make up for the sins of his first 2.5 years but ya pretty much, I wasn’t happy with the hire but I would have preferred to not see him go (but I absolutely would have left) and I would have liked for all of us to see how that story ended and if there was a follow up act to Flowers to be had.
  9. It is absolutely a factor in why we have a ceiling of around a .500 AAC team this season but that we a .000 is definitely on factors that CJS controls.
  10. I like success, I am a Whore and I really do not care who delivers it or the methods they go about delivering it. I don’t care a bit about GPAS I don’t care about turning out subjectively good people I care about wins (marquee wins particularly, I know you prefer conference wins but it takes me too long to explain to people who the teams are in order to then explain to them why that should be exciting) and the only reason I do not like our current situation is because we are losing at a rate unseen against teams that are not drastically better than us. I know you would like to believe it is something that is more complex but it really is as simple as win more and I like you more and lose more and I like you less. If our coach went 15-0 he could take a **** on the horns at the 50, wipe his ass with Rocky, kick baby’s and puppies punch pregnant women in the stomach while singing the UCF fight song and he would still be my favorite person on earth. I also am perfectly fine with the fact that CJS could not go 15-0 this season (mostly because there are not 15 games) but we also shouldn’t have beaten on one FCS team and that I am not fine with.
  11. Yes I truly am, I just want the better I was promised. I don’t want him fired and I don’t think that is possible just as I think the CJL ship has sailed but that does not mean I have to pretend that he is doing great and none of the glaring issues he is personally responsible do not exist. The last game was the game that had made me vomit the least this entire season so I say things are trending upward and I hope we continue that trend but it also shows that talent alone is not the only reasons we have failed to the level we have or that it would be just fine to do this for three years because it’s not.
  12. You have to appreciate the mental gymnastics it takes to convince yourself 1-9 is great and the only success we have ever realized is horrible. I mean sure CJL had to build a team from scratch and then compete against teams that had played for decades but that’s not as hard as coaching a team that has better rated recruits than their competition, and sure moving up a tier every recruiting class seems hard but it’s nowhere near on par with trying to compete against the same talent when CJL never once had to compete with Covid-19, and do you know how hard it is to implement a system that can advance the ball at all in a single season following the firing of a coach? Much harder than having your coordinators hired away for actually demonstrating success I can assure you. CJS is nice to all three members of the daily stampede when they are the only ones that show up for a press conference and if that’s not reason for hope I don’t know what is.
  13. I’m pulling for him as much as anyone, my only bias against him is his accent, and I hope he can turn it around. I think the last game showed that this team has underperformed this season and that coaching decisions have landed us exactly where we are as much as anything. No one forced CJS to pick the lineups he made and no one forced him to make the coaching decisions that he made(including the coordinators he picked). I’m not typically a backup qb guy but I think some others were right and had Noah been starting we are in better shape than we started, our kicker shows promise, our RB rotation may have been off but if we change a few decisions we beat Memphis on the road which would stand to reason that we are pretty close talent wise to .500 team I believe that we are. I really don’t see how any of this is a hot take it’s simply calling the situation as it is actually playing out and being fair to all involved which I know is much more difficult than to vilify the departing coach and praise your newest savior.
  14. I’ll make it even plainer for you, do you support the free elections of the president of the United States? And if so how do you justify that when no one is capable of knowing what it is like to be president or is aware of the inter-workings of the issues and the resulting decisions brought about by those factors and yet some way some how we still let everyone collectively decide on the fate of that office. I can assure you that being a college football coach isn’t quite as complex as you would like to imagine and ultimately you are defined by your wins and losses which are defined by the people you hire the plan you implement and the players you recruit. We do not know how the story will end and there is still time to change it but the first chapter is poor enough that most people would stop reading, I think it’s about time for CJS to at least write a decent paragraph. I get it you like CJS and you want him to be successful, we all do, but that does not change the facts of what he is doing and facts matter even if you would like to diminish them and excuse them away. Head coaching decisions have consequences.
  15. That I have heard of USF football would put me in the top .001% of experts on the subject matter, that I’ve seen even a single game would put me in the top.0001%, that I’ve even been to several would put me in the top .00000395048% that I actually follow it closely would make me an expert in any field but that really does not matter because one does not have to be able to lead a symphony or even have heard one before in order to know all too clearly when someone is doing it poorly.
  16. Well there are plenty of teams that are having a lot of new found success because apparently it is easier to be a top level team when there are fewer top level teams and you get a several games jump on some of the others. But yes the person that is most likely situated to CJS is only something like 500% more successful than him so I can see how that only looks moderately better than the best anyone could have conceivably expected from our newest best coach ever.
  17. If CJS was having as much as he is failure would that have meant we made a mistake and that the new found success would actually be attributable to CCS who was wrongfully terminated?
  18. If Scott was .500 right now I think the mood on him would be rather positive and the transition would be labeled rather successful that’s not quite the same thing as going 1-9 and hoping one day if you get better recruits than you have shown yourself capable that you can perhaps miracle yourself to .500 in 3 years. Flourishing is rather conditional and when it’s better than things were you can claim it, unfortunately so is floundering and when things are worse than when you found them you are doing it.
  19. That’s probably open to interpretation but there have been times when I have been more shocked than others that anyone bought into my random fleeting thought du jour
  20. I am sorry that you think the study of knowledge has no place in college football
