  1. Three teams there were three teams with any intention of staying and if we wanted to black ball anyone not one team that couldn’t be bothered to even agree to tv contact that cost us millions of dollars would have cared at all as long as they were allowed to leave on time.
  2. Three years is the minimum amount of time for the program to probably do something about a decision but everyone probably had an opinion about CCS before he coached his final game, you know at the three year mark.
  3. There were three teams that had any intention of staying in our conference when they were brought in and we were one of them while the other two probably had never even heard of them. There is no way they would be in this conference if we didn’t open the door for them thinking somehow that resurrecting them from the dead was in our best interest and mean CJL had held back the beautifully abusive relationship that would allow us (read them) to flourish.
  4. Well it’s true. The easiest way to do well somewhere is to do well with the people on hand and the easiest way to win people over is by showing them how “your way” makes things better for everyone including them. Typically when someone needs to replace everyone and they have to completely shift cultures it has to do more so with the fact they have not demonstrated to anyone an improvement they are bringing in and blaming their failures on others is an easy out.
  5. So sometimes the most talented players are seen by the coaches that are misusing the players the most as high maintenance for no other reason than they do not care for their incompetence the most? Novel.
  6. Literally every single proverb ever in time says that when you attach yourself to someone beneath you they drag you down as you lift them up. Becoming a package deal was the dumbest idea in the history of an athletic program with a storied history of dumb ideas. Every single person on earth should have seen exactly how this story would end as we had left someone for dead and backed up (not to run over them the final time) but to nurse them back to health and invite them in to live with us. I hope the tens of people that were pining for a rival enjoy this game because it certainly doesn’t seem worth it from where I’m sitting.
  7. This is really the list of teams we are losing to? Did half these teams just join the conference because teams had to opt out for Covid?
  8. It would probably depend on if CJS was more CWT than he was the Vipers coach who would probably say yes.
  9. When you are always moving up in conferences and someone is always taking your place in the conference you left behind you are better than them. When you play someone and every time you play them you win and they lose you are better than them. When you are in an auto bid conference and someone is not you are better than them. When you are regularly playing higher level teams and winning and the biggest team the other team faces every year is you and they lose you are better than them. There really used to be no debate to be had and the idea that we should hitch our wagon to them simply because they were close and wanted it was a fringe idea at one point, it should have stayed that way because they brought nothing to our lives while we were the wind beneath their wings.
  10. But have no fear in 24 more short years CJS is going to turn it all around based on.... reasons. By my math the next game will have him in year -8 of a complete rebuild.
  11. That in Iowa people don’t only have Boise to watch they can also go to the cornfields and watch baseball of old and I think that probably would outdraw the Rays.
  12. There were other players from other teams too just no Ty Cobb
  13. You don’t think people have an interest in watching Shoeless Joe Jackson play?
  14. I know there are some, I also know that although our engagement has plummeted there isn’t even a fraction of that decreases number anywhere else.
  15. It would perhaps be fair if there was one other place on the planet where anyone else is talking about Usf football anymore, it’d be a lie if I told you that I never thought of death my bullspenners we the last ones left.
  16. I most certainly do not and you are only hoping it thus far he has demonstrated not a single thing that would merit an extension and if he believes this year didn’t count if anything he should give us a refund for not doing the job he was hired to do
  17. Worked out pretty well when we extended Skippy for failing
  18. We absolutely cannot fire him but it’s okay to have some standards and recognize that he isn’t meeting any of them and needs to improve
  19. If we won 10 games not one person would be saying that it is because of CCS and the season didn’t matter and was just a Covid fluke, not one. If this staff would have shouldered any success they most certainly should shoulder that they are failing at a level CCS has never came close to sniffing.
