  1. He's visiting another school. Did Miami take Javaris James schooly offer away because he came here for a visit after he said he wasn't?

I don't thing we're in a position to just let go of guys liek this because he's visiting another school.

There are only so many scholarships available. This guy was not 100% committed. They needed this scholarship for a player that was 100% coommitted.

    I don't see the problem.

This guy on Wed could have changed his mind and by not being able to offer the other player, we could have lost both!!!!

Don't see any problem in this whatsoever.

  2. The Peyton Manning comparison - not even close. Last time I checked we didn't have an all-world point guard injured. It was more like losing Pat Julmiste and being stuck with Denson or Hill.

These guys are leaving it all out on the court; nobody is denying that. CRM is doing something right. But at some point the W's got to start coming in; which they haven't.

My impatience has more to do with the fact that we suck year in and year out and no one seems to care. People don't even want to acknowledge it, instead they say stuff like 'we beat two top 25 teams last yr', or 'did you really expect to win the BE?'. So what? How much of that momentum did we carry into this year? Zero.

We're 6-13, 0-6 in the BE. We're not only losing conference games.

I simply long for the day when USF sniffs the big dance.

And I am sure when that day does come you will be complaining about something else.

I feel we did carry some momentum over from last year. You still keep forgetting we have been missing three players that were counted on to contribute! One is back and if you can't tell the difference the last 3 or 4 games then you are clueless. Imagine if the other 2 were back!

There is nothing we can do this year to change our situation. Start focusing on the positives and then maybe you will start seeing what the majority of us our seeing!

  3. i would be happy if we loaded up on top 25 talent in the state

    we are hovering around 50

    unacceptible and underachieving

we don't need to pay a coach millions for that type of class

look at old miss,ed orergon was in their  only 2 years and he is top 10.

leavitt and staff are lazy and get out recruited every year by lesser school

    nothing changes with this group

    Recruiting rankings are for losers!

    Sing a different song!

Lets see how Old Miss does this year! According to you they should go to a BCS bowl because they are so high in the recruiting rankings!

  4. Trip, as much as you are enjoying what you think is a 'bitchslapping', I believe it is reinforcing my point.

Minutes per game is useless garbage at this point in the season. You need to break it out into conference games. Big Hairy Bull**** is full of b.s. SU didn't play USF with the same minutes that it played against Villanova, Cincy etc. NO WAY.

You are one subborn SOB! The minutes I quoted for Avg. per game is only CONFERENCE GAMES!!!!!!!!!! You idiot! I will copy and paste below one last F-----g time!

  5. Per NFL rulebook.

the third QB rule works this way:

On game day each team gets to activate 45 players and designate a 46th player the emergency qb. If the emergency qb enters the game before the 4th quarter, then the first two quartebacks are not elligible to play in the game again.

A few years back there was a game between the redskins and eagles where the first two redskins quarterbacks were knocked out of the game early. However, there was a chance that one one them would be able to return to the game. If they were to use thier emergency qb, the other two quartebacks would not be able to return. Instead, they let Brian Mitchell (running back/ return man) play qb for a possession. He managed a pretty long TD drive.

  6. Who did? Not Syracuse.

Sounds like a bunch of Big Hairy Bull**** to me.

I've had enough. I try not to express my disgust for the bb program but am just baffled that so many of you don't care how bad we suck.

The power of denial is amazing,

    Rueben

Yes it was Syracuse! The amount of minutes for Syracuse against all those teams was the same against us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FACT!!! I already showed you the proof!

If you think not, show me your proof.

I am done with you! Wake up and look at the stats!

  7. So ridiculous. Is that what they say at Uconn, Villanova, Syracuse, Pitt, and WVU? NO. Why? Because they care about winning.

A REAL fan is one that cares about the teams future, a REAL fan complains when there is something obviously wrong.

A REAL fan uses his head; not his heart to judge his team.

    A REAL BULLS FAN,

    Rueben

Fair Expectations is your problem! If you would stop complaining and realize that our team is playing pretty **** competitive against top 25 teams is remarkable!

Did you really think we were going to beat some or any of these teams seeing the way this program was left in shambles 3 years ago! Plus the bad luck of 3 players that were counted on to contribute to be hurt.

Yes we care about winning! But you don't give up on your coaches and players when they are down! You stand behind them!!!!!!!!!!

  8. 1) Uconn crushed SU; and SU was in enormous foul trouble, so that skewed the SINGLE GAME meaningless stats.

    2) WVU vs. Villanova? No comment, I don't know.

    3) Picking out one game and acting like it is the norm is stupid. It's like picking a stock that was up 4% today and saying it's normally up 4%.

    :::YAWN:::

    Fart,

    Rueben

Dude, all the stats we are quoting are from Conference games only!!!!!!!!!!!!

They played the same amount of minutes against us as they did against Notre Dame, Cinn, Conn and Nova.

    Case closed!

  9. How about comparing minutes played vs us and minutes played vs UCONN? Would that work for you, genius?

3 of their top scorers played more against us. McNamara played 2 more minutes against them and Nichols was in foul trouble against us. Oh by the way the also ran Gorman played 13 minutes against UCONN and not 1 minute against us. Try to look at the facts.

how about WVU vs Vill? Their starters played 4 more minutes against them then they did us. almost identical numbers. again don't let facts get in the way of what you actually think.

Thank you!! This Rueben guy is the one smoking something! Get out of your denial! Our team is not world beaters, but they are definetly not terrible like you want to think!

Back you team no matter what! That is the definition of a REAL BULLS FAN!

  10. McNamara and Devendorf yes, they are good. But Devendorf barely played against USF, you know that, it was also in a previous post of yours.

True freshman Andy Rautins and forever-a-bum Matt Gorman never play, and they put in a lot of minutes against USF, especially Rautins.

Don't care what you say, I know SU, and know they treated us like Colgate, so did WVU. Boeheim didn't even put his starters back in when USF rallied back -- he must have been real scared.

Keep defending the hill at all costs Velcro....

    Rueben

Devendorf played 22 minutes against us and is averaging 23 min/game in conference.

McNamara played 38 minutes against us and is averaging 38/game in conference.

Tell me how they played different minutes than against any of the other conference teams? SHOW ME!

Granted we are not good enough this year to probably beat any of these Big East teams, but we are indeed competitive and no they are not playing any less amount of minutes from their starters! Sorry !

I think if you look at all the starters of all the teams we played against all the minutes against the rest of the league, you will see no difference!!

Your point has no ground to stand on!

  11. It seems like there is some rule in the NFL, that limits "quarterback swapping" during a game.  Meaning, if you go to your second-string, your first string has to sit out for so long?  Or if you go to your third string, you can't come back to your first?  Does anyone know what I'm talking about (because I really don't).  It just seems like I heard of some rule like that once, and I really don't know where'd I find that....other than here, of course.

It's an emergency QB rule. Every teams designates an Emer. QB prior to every game. That person always dresses but if he comes into the game the QB's that are on the roster cannot come back in the game if the Emer. QB enters the game.

  12. I went during the grad opening so that may have had something to do with it. Let me just ask you one question that I ask all Bucs fans that give me that you live in Tampa ****. If you were transfered to lets say Charlotte would you all of a sudden become a Panthers fan or would you still be a Bucs fan that lives in Charlotte?

Yes, I would follow and support the team of where I lived at the time. You can still be a follower of you original hometown team, but don't come to our city and bash our home team!

Just like JG said, if Miami was sooooo great, you should have never have left for any reason!

But still glad you are a Bulls fan! ;D

  13. running,

If he had 2 years eligibility we'd have a point. But this is a guy who was constantly seen as "lazy" after recovering from knee surgery. He also got into it with coaching staff on many occassions (Zook's and Meyer's) He is not the same player he was in high school.

He was one year left, he hasn't been in more than a practice situtation except for one series (Which I'm sure was garbage minutes). Why waste a scholly on a guy we'll get in two years for ONE year when we could bring in a young talent that can be brought up.

Where in this article does it say we are giving him a scholarship?

    Don't see that anywhere.

Just because he is transferring here doesn't mean we are giving him a scholarship.

  14. The attendance sucked during your Daddy's last year as coach Sheriff...people were purposely staying away to protest his lack of success.  Remember the whole "silent protest" at all?  I disagreed with it, but donors were coordinating a virtual strike against his lousy program.

Had he been a winner (a real winner, not a non-con November and December winner), he might have still been gone (most likely), but he wouldn't have run a program into the ground and handed off a program everyone was already sick of (except the people that ate out of Seth's trough).

You are so transparent...I hope you grow out of it man.

    Wow, perfectly said!!!!!!!!!!

  15. Do we have any details on it now?

That $40,000+ in ticket sales should pay for a pretty slick shindig...

Here is the details I got when I asked.

It's at the Hilton and is from 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.  Included is open bar (liquor, beer, wine), heavy hor d ouevres, etc.  Dress attire is casual to cocktail - it's up to you!  We'll have a live band as well
