  1. This article makes me sick...Why does someone feel the need to go to every player and ask them about their coach behind his back and see how they feel while still in season...So you talked to more than 5 players, big deal, REAL athletes would know better than to speak to you or any other member of the press, and then to get comments whether they are good or bad from former players, parents, or whatever...Its funny, that not a single person has covered a USF baseball game in the past 2 months but all of a sudden we have an article like this...I am very disappointed just like everyone else about this years baseball team, but man I dont know if you could kick a guy any harder when hes down...

I totally agree! There is no reason to go talk to current players while the season is still going on. You can't be real objective during the season when you are playing so bad. Any player is going to find any excuse as to why the team is struggling. Blame it on the coach when the going gets tough.

Bulliever, you say that he has done it his way for the last decade and it hasn't worked but it sure did work pretty well the first decade of his tenure.

I truly believe that they should allow him the opportunity to coach and recruit once the new facility is completed. He has patiently waited for something impressive to show recruits and it is a shame he might not get the chance to see how good this team can be when on a level playing field with all the other programs in the state.

    Go Bulls

  2. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Remember Beastie they are young QB's who are fighting for a #1 job so I would guess that they are rushing things. Also if you are going to have a young QB what a good year to do it being that our Defense is going to be one of the Nation’s top

SOUNDS LIKE AN EXCUSE FOR FAILURE FREAKBULL

    GREAT YOUNG PLAYERS MAKE PLAYS

Yeah, just like Peyton Manning his rookie season. The guy had one of the worst QB season's in history. Look at him now!

    Please stay away!

  3. Since the Gator Tribune has not said a word about it, I thought this was pretty amazing.  In his first two starts of the year the kid has thrown back-to-back no hitters.

If he keeps this up he will be a high draft pick.

Here are his numbers so far.  Not too shaby..........

    Year to date stats :

    IP- 14

    H- 0

    R- 0

    ER- 0

    K's- 31

    BB- 2

    ERA- 0.00

Wow! He must have a great pitching coach!  ;D

  4. OK, besides ucf, which is the must see road game in everyones opinion?  I plan on attending ucf, unc, and kansas.  Kansas will make a great sports weekend, as the KC Royals are in town that weekend, and I am hoping the chiefs will be too.  Southwest has nonstops flights cheap to kc.

I will be attending UCF, UNC and Louisville.

Louisville is a great city and hopefully this game will be a big one!

  5. we are relatively doing worse than last year

no pther way to look at it

    rutgers is beating us

You are wrong we beat Rutgers!

I guess all you care about is how some "recruiting specialist" rates the players we are recruiting. It doesn't mean a darn thing. When are you going to get that through your head. All it means is potential. It doesn't mean squat!!!

  6. His efforts are paying off and we are seeing it in this years recruit class and a season with a record better than almost all predicted

WE ARE DOING WORSE THAN LAST YEAR ACCORDING TO RECRUITING RANKINGS

HAIRYBULL- MORON? YOU THINK LEAVITT IS A GOOD COACH AND IS DOING FINE. YOU SEEM LIKE THE MORON!

SOMEONE THAT KNOWS SO LITTLE SHOULD CALL NAMES

You didn't answer the question! What great QB left our program! Since you know all, please let us know!

  7. he could be like the rest of the great qbs we have had

    and leave

    or fall  on his face

but leavitt and co should have preparred grothe for future

What great QB's have we had that left?

I hope you say some of this stuff just to get people annoyed, because you really can't be that much of a moron!

  8. Leavitt and crew are doing an outstanding job!!!!!!!!

Wake up and have some realistic expectations!

YOU HAVE YOUR UNDERACHIEVING EXPECTATIONS AND I HAVE MINE

    YOU MAKE EXCUSES FOR FAILURE

I LOOK FOR WAYS TO SUCCEED

    HAVE A GREAT DAY

Tell me what your expectations for this year were to determine that it was a failure!

Your only way to SUCCEED is firing the coach?

I believe you are a lawyer? Did you walk out of the day you graduated high school and start practicing law? No you went to undergrad, law school, etc.

Same thing this Bulls program is doing!!!!!

  9. tb- very good

hairybull- i will shut up when usf's achieves the greatness they should

the fact that some17 year old kid says he is coming to usf will not make me shut up

results from usf football will shut me up

i will be talking and posting for years with leavitt and co at the helm

It takes a little bit of time to recruit the same as USC, Miami etc. Every year we get more and more recruits that would have never ever ever thought about coming here a couple of years ago. You can't expect after 4 or 5 years in D1 to be able to get any and every 4 and 5 star recruit that those schools get.

Leavitt and crew are doing an outstanding job!!!!!!!!

Wake up and have some realistic expectations!

  10. Don't know if this is new news or not but Hernandez wasn't the only scholly pulled back.

    USF recruiting has more options

Posted January 26, 2006 by Brett McMurphy

Looking for more evidence how far the University of South Florida has climbed among the ranks of the nation’s college football programs? Just look at USF’s decision to tell Naples OT Hector Hernandez that the Bulls were rescinding their scholarship offer.

Hernandez had a USF scholarship - as long as he didn’t visit Louisville this weekend. But Hernandez felt he needed to visit Louisville, where he said he has an offer. So USF decided to go in another direction. Call it a game of recruiting chicken. This happens all over the country. The point is USF’s recruiting base is now strong enough where it can “throw back the smaller fish.†That’s how far the program has come. Coming off its first bowl trip and in the Big East, USF can be more selective and apply more pressure to recruits, if needed - just like every other BCS team.

Hernandez isn’t the only one out of USF’s picture, two other players who were reported as earlier USF commitments also won’t sign - St. Petersburg LB Robert Spann and Orlando Edgewater DT Justin Jenkins.
