  1. None of us are talking about him, but CJL still brought up his name. He is a dark horse, but who knows with CJL is still considering him sounds like we will have plenty of competition before our new QB's even hit campus.
  2. We are looking pretty good. While we only have one four star, I think we have about eight three stars and we still have a shot at a few more. This is a very good class and it addresses some of our greatest weaknesses. It will be interesting to see how long it takes for some of these guys to see the field and what kind of impact they have next year. We should have a real battle for QB over the next couple years.
  3. Pulling the plug on WVU is no way for UCF to endear themselves to the Big East. Do they want to stay in CUSA forever?
  4. It was nice to see a decent crowd at the game. I enjoyed how our guys battled... I was late arriving and we were well behind. It was great to see the guys come back and take the lead at the half. It is also good to see Bryant back at full speed. When he fouled out it cost us alot at the end. He energizes the team.
  5. If they had beat Miami they would likely have been playing Pitt instead of the Utes.
  6. in the AP poll. Pretty good showing for our conference. It is surprising that Pitt hung on to twenty-five after their showing in the bowl game.
  7. you can expect to go to a bowl... In the Mac unless you are number one, all you have is hope.
  8. I have season tickets, but there is no way I can make a 6:00pm start on a weeknight. If I was in Tampa it might be a different story, but getting off work at 3:30 to make the game is not an option for me. With the holidays and the short work week schedules it is tough cut out early for a game.
  9. Ronnie has a great attitude and deserves props for how he has handled himself. Servino will be here next year and the coaches must see something in him or he would not be on the team. He deserve some props too for having the guts to come on as a walk on and do enough to merit some minutes... Even if he never gets beyond a backup role he still contributes toward the overall success of the team. As a Jesuit grad I am sure he had the academics to go to school just about anywhere and might be starting at a lesser program.
  10. The Jim should go look at the tape and get ready to beat UAB. Anyone that wants us to get rid of the Jim should go back to their home on the UCF board. The Jim has more than earned our support and it will take much more that one disappointing season for true Bulls to wish for anyone else as our coach. Our team is the house that the Jim built and it has been a pretty nice ride. From zero to the Big East in under ten years. Name another program that comes close.
  11. It is not yet time to give up on this team!  Yes, we have had a couple ugly games, but looking at the rest of our conference we still look like an average team.  From this point forward in the season I expect we will win more than we lose.  We need to face it that most of us that come on these boards are die hards and start the season with expectations that are a little inflated.  Before the season the CUSA coach's picked us to be a middle of the pack or lower team.  Guess what, it sure looks like that is where we will end up.   We have never had a great game with a top twenty team.  The exception to an extent would be at Oklahoma where we held our own, but even in that game we got pounded and remember Arkansas the week before?  So why would we have any different expectations playing a number eighteen Louisville that probably should have a top ten ranking. It is no fun losing and Army was inexcusable, but this team still deserves our support.  Anything we are feeling is magnified many times for them and they have much more than a few dollars and their egos invested. Go Bulls - Beat UAB! ÂÂ
  12. What is it like to be a football crazy Husker and make that list? Of course if it wasn't Nebraska the record would not be bad enough for the bottom ten.
  13. Not really cocky, I would call them hopeful. The post about taking down our goal posts is funny. They better bring an M1 if they want to get past the folks at RJS.
  14. At fan appreciation day I got to meet him. It is amazing how humble he comes across in conversation. With all he has done he could be forgiven a little arrogance. It has been exciting seeing him grow at USF. Hopefully, we will see some of the dominating performance he is capable of during the balance of the season.
  15. we would hang 31 points on TCU. Nice to see the boys battle back like that.
  16. We have plenty of good talent, but Blackwell was very well suited to the spread and our current QB's do not seem to match up as well with our offense. Julmist is facing much tougher opposition than Blackwell did at the same point in his time at USF. He may well look much better as he gains experiance. It is not a fair comparison matching our current players and what they face with the heavy AA schedule of the past. Remember also that many of our players are freshman or redshirt freshman. They will look much better with time and to some extent we will reap the rewards of their experiance this year in future seasons.
  17. Our Bulls seem to come from the same mold as the Bucs. Good defense, but just can not seem to score. Is it the RJS curse?
  18. FAU certainly is not ahead of us, but you still need to give them props for what they have done. In addition, I would give props to UCF for how well they have done this year. With as little depth as they have on that team they have accounted well for themselves. The new staff has made a difference at UCF. It will be much more interesting playing them. Back to us, time will tell... We have the talent to compete in our conference, but much of it is young. How quickly the young players can be brought up to speed and what the staff does to overcome the shortcomings at QB will determine if this is a year to remember or forget. In the long run we will be fine, but this year is up for grabs.
  19. FAU has had a nice run. They played us pretty well also. I hope the best for them.
  20. back on track next season, so why not take a shot and hope for a futrue superstar....
  21. More than likely we are just planting the seeds for a new university much as we did in Ft. Meyers. The good news is we have much more name recognition now, so we at least have a shot at keeping it all together over the long term.
  22. Looks like they consider us a landmine for just about anyone visiting RJS. It is about time for us to pick up a road win against an SEC team, but a Pitt win would be a good start to the season.
  23. He was an assistant at UF when they went to the final four. I guess he crawled out of the swamp... SORRY for such a Hookie post!
  24. Good luck cookin' up those turtles in the Gator Bowl.
