Sorry but I am tired of the same. Low expectations and little hope of having a competitive team going into the BE. Now before you jump on me I am not taking shots at Coach Mac. You have not heard them from me and you will not. His job is next to impossible. I think he is a fine coach but in an impossible situation. He doesn't have the name recognition or facilities to attract the type of recruits required to compete in the BE. We will be facing McDonalds All Americans night in and night out in the BE and this won't change. We are going from probably the 5th or 6th best conference in the country to argueably the best. Crazy as it sounds but the move to the BE so quick is just killing us. Mac had a much better chance of getting wins in C-USA by building his team and then take a winning program into the BE after an NCAA appearance. I will go to the games and enjoy the seasons no matter what because I have no expectations. I think they will have a team that has solid fundamentals and play tough "D". Until that big donor steps up with a huge infusion of cash I fear we will be one the bottom tier teams in the BE.

My inside source tells me we are at 35k plus already so it looks good. If the weather holds I think we will get near that 40k mark.

The UCF chant ? Of course Were #117, were #117 were #117 But the future is bright because UCF can only get better. LOL

Very good. Win all our home games(4) and all we need is one win on the road which looks good to me. Two road wins are quite possible which would make it easier. I think we will really not know until we play Cinci. Everyone else except USM will have one game left and we will know where we stand. I got my suitecase outa the attic so I "Believe"

This year will tell us alot about our team. Not from a win lose record but how we look at the begining of the year versus how we look at the end of the year. For those of us that grew up on USF basketball be prepared for a long two years. This year will be tough but better then last and going into the BE will be ugly I fear. Hope for that upset and enjoy the season.

And we are getting excited over Denard Abraham . He is being recruited by Towson State ? Woopee. He signed with St Louis ? Oboy wow. Now Zaronn Cann at least looks like he may have potential. And the big schools run like roaches when the lights come on with our other recruit because of a blown out knee(man he tore about everything he could tear up in a knee-that sounded ugly). I know I am getting old but I don't see any McDonalds All Americans here and I gotta tell ya this does not sound like a recruiting class that puts us as a competetive team in the BE. I don't know why you guys get all worked up over a couple of posters. I think USM is great. They were the first D-1 school to give us a home & home series. They do extemely well when you consider they are in a very rural location and have to recruit against 2 SEC teams in their own state. They have a quality defense year in and year out and finished ranked in the top 20 in 1997. They produced one the best QBs in the NFL with Brett Farve and their LB Boley this year will probably be playing in the NFL next year. They have been a good rival for us and help tell us where our program is at each year. Naw, don't let a couple of posters get under your skin lets just beat them next time(if we play them again & hope we do). Trust me, they will miss us when they start playing UCF instead of us. What quality opponent there.

As long as we aren't last like UCF in football.

Everyone should be cheering for Louisville to beat UM. Departing perenial BE powerhouse Miami gets beat by incoming Louisville. How sweet would that be. This could be in the cards to happen. Miami offense has been inconsistent at best and Louisville D has played better then expected. Louisville offense is very solid and I believe can score against Miami. We will know soon enough but it would be sweet.

I just wonder if smazza or any of us coming out of school the first year were as good as we where in our second,third or fourth year. I know by my fourth year in accounting that I didn't really have a clue what was going on in my first year. JL has a great track record of improving his team as the year goes on and I expect the same this year. The only thing I really don't like this year is what seems to me a total lack of a pass rush. This really puts pressure on our young secondary.

Well I'm glad to see Bien and I were watching the same game. USM had 8 in the box the whole night and I don't care who you got in the backfield they weren't going anywhere. Almond had enough time in the pocket to read the defense and a short story in Sports Illustrated. There was no pass rush(Loved Kobels sack when he came in unblocked). USM is a very good defensive team and I don't think we will see anyone this good except for Louisville(maybe). I like the future for the rest of the season and like our chances at a bowl game.

running will be tough with Boley. We will need to have a good passing day to open the field up.

At least the kid spoke his mind which hardly ever happens in sports anymore.(i.e. see Leon commercal) I wish him luck and understand why he wants too look at his options. Wise choice. We had no QB when he commited but now there are a plethora of top QBs coming in a year ahead of him. I would've done the same. You call a recruit stupid if he commits somewhere where you guys think he will sit on the bench and now you call this kid stupid because he may sit on USFs bench. Dam, cann't win around here.

Ease up Wild, if you went to UCF you would want to post on a quality board that has a quality football program too.

Naw bulls96go, just a Cleo moment. I have just heard too many things about Hall and they where all good. JL is a smart man and you had to figure that Hall would get his chance and he made the most of it. Oh and Jimeusfsig, you beat me to the punch, I wanted to jump on that negative we won't score 35 points. nice job Jim.

The one thing that doesn't add up to me is that our offensive line could be that good and yet we score no points or even move the ball. 2+2=5.

Bien, not to argue with you because clearly you have more knowlege about the Bulls then myself but didn't Omar have to go the Juco route ? Also, I have only seen Andre Hall play twice but he looks to me to be a guy that can lead this team. Shouldn't he get more touches ?
