  1. BB Thats the samething that could be said for any Florida city. There is not enogh roots in community supporting a team. Miami is similar, If UM has a bad year their support is cut in half.
  2. For those interested they drew 21,000+ thats 18,000 more than they drew for last home game vs Western Kentucky. FIU won the game
  3. Sheriff: You said the magic word "intensity" our team had NONE today. Our defense couldnt stop the run nor the pass and our Offense well what can i say that hasnt been said before.
  4. Why would UCF only have 4 home games? Does that mean all your out of conference are away? Who are your out of conference other than USF
  5. and Pitt -WV is latter in the day. Imagine that on the actual Thanksgiving day, having people choose wether go to families for thanksgiving day or go to a football game.
  6. I remember UM playing FAMU in the OB in early 80s when they struggled with attendance and remember FAMU-UM getting over 60,000 one whole side was FAMU fans. So i wouldnt be surprised 60,000 for that game.FAMU has a big following that would come to see team n its band.
  7. ESPN DID NOT guarantee a TV date until now. When it was switched to Dec 4 ESPN did not automatically pick it up
  8. Here is a stat i like so far: 74% Free Throw shooting.....When was the last time we had over 70%?
  9. Both teams have played FIVE common opponents: Louisville, Cincinnati,Southern Miss,UAB and ECU. Both squads are 2-3 in those contests, in those games here is how they match up. POINTS SCORED per game Memphis 31.0, USF 27.6 POINTS ALLOWED per game Memphis 40.2, USF 30.0 RUSHING per game Memphis 37.8 carries- 193.8 yds (5.1 yd/carries) USF 38.6 carries- 193.0 yds ( 5.0 yd/carries) RUSHING DEFENSE per game Memphis 40.4 carries- 178.8 yds ( 4.4 yds per carries) USF 39.6 carries- 137.0 yds (3.5 yds/carries) PASSING OFFENSE per game Memphis 37.6 pass plays- 253.6 yds per game ( 6.7 yds per pass) USF 23.8 pass plays per game- 155.8 yds (6.5 yds per pass) PASSING DEFENSE per game Memphis 34.0 pass plays- 287.8 yds (8.5 yds per pass) USF 33.8 pass plays- 262 yds ( 7.8 yds per pass play) From the stats i think we match up pretty well. TO will be a BIG key
  10. Its good to defend and stand by friends, BUT no one said anything negative about Seth to start this thread. I think is a little to early to compare what Seth n Coach Mc have accomplished at USF. Its time to move on good luck to seth n Coach Mc
  11. We are 2-0 and ill take Mc style over Seth's anytime. I will never forget all those late season flops and our players dancing and posing only to lose games.
  12. FAU i believe has to draw 30,00 plus to their season finale with FIU to get to 15,000. This weekend they are playing a div II team and expect 8,000+
  13. I would bet money that our schedule looks like this: HOME: Louisville,Cincy,WV,UCF AWAY: Pitt,Syracuse,Rutgers,UConn, Penn St 2 games still pending We might get BE to switch UConn to home if we get the away game vs Miami
  14. We are also facing stronger competition week in week out
  15. Memphis has a good offense BUT their defense has allowed lots of points on the road, thus we have a good chance of taking them, but we must run the ball at least 42 times in the game. Here are some facts: Memphis on the road: Mississippi 13 points Arkansas St 35 points UAB 35 points Cincinnati 49 points ECU 35 points USF rushing attempts: losses: SC 22, USM 25, Army 53, UL 36, UC 28 wins: TCU 55, UAB 48, ECU 56
  16. IF USF beats Memphis to go to 5-5 they could get a deal where theyll go if they beat Pitt if not someonelse takes their place. Similar to the deal USF had with Hawaii Bowl waiting on the ECU-Cincy game a few years ago.
  17. So does that mean that more fans from UCF will travel to Tampa than were at your last home game?
  18. Some fans here have the wrong perception of our program; 1. Even in our state we ARE NOT that well known, i have seen this change in the last two years but we still are not in the same league with most BCS teams in most recruits eyes. 2. The BE next year and the new athletic facility have helped and will continue to help, but its still not enough to get most of the top athletes that are being wooed by the top teams in other BCS conferences. We will improve our standing as time goes by but the facts are that: 1. We only have been in 1A ball for 3 years 2. Weve only had football for 8 years. 3. We avg less than 30,000 a game 4. We had no athletic facility till this year. 5. We have no Bowl history. 6. We had not been on ESPN till last year. 7. WE had no shot at BCS till next year. 8. Rest of the nation and most of Florida has never heard of us That doesnt mean that i accept losing and the Army game was a plain choke on our part. Upsets happen and sometimes you win them sometimes you lose them.

  20. Phil Yes the WR's have dropped balls, but PJ has NOT been accurate on most of his passes. Yesterday his long ball was nowhere near his targets and many short passes were overthrown, that has been a pattern all year long.
  21. smazza i never said Banks nor Julmiste were the answers. I saw Julmiste in HS and was not impressed. I thought he would improve and he has, but he still not a 1A QB. As for Denson yes, he is not a tall QB, thats why everyone in the Miami area though it was a BIG mistake for him to go to Auburn, originally he had verballed to VTech. He will not work as a pocket drop back QB, which happens to be Auburn;s style. He works well in spread offenses were he can scramble and take off. He is more precise than Julmiste (not saying much) and can throw on the run, he is very fast and if he gets past the rushing lines hell take 15-20 yds. He is very similar to Charlie Ward when he was at FSU. We will see next year, ill remmind you of what you said or youll the same. But he is hands down better than PJ
  22. It was the first game against an opponent thats not a pushover. USF will get better as the year progresses as they did last year. Comparison: Miami 67 Wofford 64
  23. smazza Get a grip, Denson had HUGE numbers playing in DADE COUNTY where teams are stacked with great athletes MOST of them on defense. Kraky's numbers were suspect due to the competition he faced. We will find out what he can or cannot do next year, but ill predict hell beat out PJ.
