imagine ALL those UM alumni ticket holders from out of town that now have the BIGGEST HOME game of the year on a MONDAY NIGHT. But they seem to have taken in stride.

Sorry but im not all that surprised. I expected maybe some AD's at nonBCS schools to apply but i NEVER expected someone that was an AD in a BCS conference to apply. As long as whoever comes in comes with knowledge of a BCS program and with ideas and energy to take our program to the next level. I have no problem

It is VERY important as we move to a BCS conference,that USF becomes a better known team around the nation. THe main way to do it is by playing on TV and winning. If we do not play on TV it will hurt us and our conference. The BE winner and representative to that BCS Bowl MUST be known nationally. If we do not take advantage of these tv apperances it will come back ti haunt us when we are the BE champ and most of the nation does not know us (it will hurt that bowls tv rating and it will comeback to hurt BE n USF)

Thats surprising i havent heard any rumors about another bowl downhere? Could it be someone in St Pete and they screwed up on the location?

one has nothing to do with the others. There will be plenty of DATE changes by schools in the next few months as ESPN sets their schedule. Memphis has already announced TWO of those without setting an actual date yet. Boston College's website says all dates and times subject to tv schedule changes. Is the price you pay for actually becoming a team that is worthwhile to put on TV. Now if we were a Michigan or Ohio St that DO NOT need the exposure or the money then we could sat our schedule without changes

For those that were complaining about date changes; Memphis has just announced that their Home game vs UL will be moved to wed or thu night for ESPN. Also their Homegame vs USM might be moved to friday night also for ESPN.

Once again if he was arrested for breaking a state law, he would still be in jail. Obviously he is working something out with the mothers. What he has done is WRONG but the reality is that football might offer him n his children a better future. If he makes the NFL, his children and their mothers could end up better off than if he had to drop everything n pay them now. The bottom line is he SHOULD have to support those kids but if he is able to work a deal with the state and the mother of those children then i say he should play. If he doesnt then he should drop out and support them or go to jail.

Obviously if he broke a state law,hell go to jail and there is NOTHING USF can do about it. The fact that he is NOT in jail means that he is working on someway to solve the problem in a manner ALLOWED by the state. You really dont think that USF can overrule a STATE LAW,Do you?

If you guys would take half the time you spend wishing and waiting for bad things to happent to our program and used it to support UCF, your program would be light years ahead of where it is now. But i swear i think you guys get more out of negative things coming out of USF than good things coming out of Orlando.

Good game n great pitching. TCU got only 4 hits, a hr and a double led to all their runs. Albritton came in n retired 4 straight to end it.

I dont believe ESPN n ESPN2 were around or big into college football back then. You also have Fox sports,Sunshine channel. There are more TV opportunities now

Thats a SC home game so the fact that is open to change tells you that SC is willing to switch game until week before if it gets them on TV. Notice many schools put schedule out and most game times are TBA depending on TV.

LOL!!! yeah sure you have a chance to play for USF in the BIG EAST or even UCF in CUSA but you rather go to Jacksonville in the ASUN to "show your skills". I work in HS athletics n i can tell you the number of kids that come in n say UM,FSU etc are recruiting me n want me but end up in 1AA,reason is many kids assume that getting a letter or a call from a coach in that school as that they want me to go there.

Dont forget Gary Alexander,James Harper and Jesse Salters they were awesome on the glass n both were smaller guys than 6'8 but big bodies n were awesome inside players
