  2. Sorry but Banks has had his chances, he has completed 21 out of 40 pretty much 50% like PJ. BUT he has 3 int in 40 passes and PJ jas 6 picks in 226 passes. Keep PJ in there, looking forward to Denson next year. If he plays half as good as he did leading the Central Rockets he would be 100% better than our recent QB's
  3. Somehow i think those ECU fans posting on the CUSA board will not be happy, they were expecting a bigger name.
  4. I hope Midgett checks the depth charts at SC, they have thee highly rated QB's one is soph, redshirt FR and FR. Im sure Spurrier will also snag a highly rated QB  in this class.
  5. Not sure i want Midgett at USF, look at his quote about being a back up? Didnt he realize that could happen when Leak committed to UF? and the number of QB's they get yearly. He sure seems like a team player with that quote.
  6. I think ND gave him the papers to make sure they can go after Meyer before Florida or another Big school takes him.
  7. I also would like to send a check. If someone can send me info. on who to send it to
  8. Ill be rooting for Colorado,Tennesse,UCLA and the Bulls!!!!!
  9. I heard the BE has offered USF 4 home games for the next three years if it doesnt upset Pitt.
  10. If thats the case then the students SHOULD be in full force for the Pitt game. I drove from out of town and brought three with me. Most of our students reside in florida and could have driven back for the game. But ill look and see how many are there this next weekend.
  11. There might be a few freshmen that can come in and step it up right away but tjose are few. They need time to adjust to speed of game and bulk up. The offenses and defenses in HS are pretty plain compared to college and they are not going against kids with similar talents in all positions. Youll see a lot of this kids blossom in the next couple of years.it shows the talent they have that they beat out our seniors and juniors that were recruited while in 1AA
  12. When things go well coaches get praises, when things go bad coaches get blamed. Im not happy with many of the calls yesterday specially the one at the goal line. But i saw a good play call near the endzone and a GOOD pass by PJ to our wide open TE for a TD or 1st n goal from the one that he just plain DROPPED. I saw a swing pass to Crossley near the Memphis 20-30 yd line for a first down that he also PLAIN DROPPED. I also saw PJ miss wide open guys. So its easy to blame the coaches for their calls when players are NOT good enough or matured enough to run them.
  13. Its part of the sport landscape. Everyone wants to win NOW and for coaches its what have you done for me lately. I remember when Alabama was courting JL, how many on this board were questioning his loyalty and saying he should turn down the Big name n Bucks and stay at USF were he could continue to build and retire from. Well guess what we have the first losing season in 7 years and many of the same people are ready to fire him. I do not like nor accept losing seasons but this man deserves more support for what he has done for USF. He is just as upset about whats happenning.
  14. Cincy lost most of its team to graduation. Florida is a football state and its easier to recruit football players than basketball. Also more people wil support a winning football team than a basketball one
  15. I am down after this game BUT there is no way USF will be a bottom feeder in football in BE. There is too much talent and with new facilities USF will do just fine recruiting. Attendance n support will come as we start winning again.
  16. Yes we have a large number of alumni in Tampa area BUT USF has not developed an alumni that has grown up supporting athletics. It will take time to have students that have gone to USF SUPPORING their football team. I know most of the alumni thast i know from the early 80's doesnt even follow USF athletics.
  17. BB Thats the samething that could be said for any Florida city. There is not enogh roots in community supporting a team. Miami is similar, If UM has a bad year their support is cut in half.
  18. For those interested they drew 21,000+ thats 18,000 more than they drew for last home game vs Western Kentucky. FIU won the game
  19. Sheriff: You said the magic word "intensity" our team had NONE today. Our defense couldnt stop the run nor the pass and our Offense well what can i say that hasnt been said before.
  20. Why would UCF only have 4 home games? Does that mean all your out of conference are away? Who are your out of conference other than USF
  21. and Pitt -WV is latter in the day. Imagine that on the actual Thanksgiving day, having people choose wether go to families for thanksgiving day or go to a football game.
  22. I remember UM playing FAMU in the OB in early 80s when they struggled with attendance and remember FAMU-UM getting over 60,000 one whole side was FAMU fans. So i wouldnt be surprised 60,000 for that game.FAMU has a big following that would come to see team n its band.
