  1. AFAIK we don't have any C-USA schools booked other than UCF. Let's face it, they're a cheap and easy way to meet the exit requirement. So we may have to accept a second 1-for-1 for now. Then, if things continue as they have been, we can get haughty.
  2. Clever idea USFFan, but we'd have to make sure that such a deal would meet the C-USA exit agreement.
  3. When I read the title, I thought it meant Lock Haven and Bucks CC were the topics on his show today, rather than USF sports.
  4. I think the UofL attendance will be higher than last time. You're all overlooking an important point. Louisville's road trips for 2005 are: Lexington, Ky. Tampa Morgantown, W.Va. Cincinnati Storrs, Conn. If you could only make one road trip, which city would YOU want to go to?
  5. OK Bien, I'll take your word for it. But if USF has any secret weapons to bust out, this Saturday would be a good time to do so.
  6. Great points. From all indications, the game was important to the student bodies, and to the players. The market has spoken in favor of the series, a lot more than I thought it would. (As you know, my attendance prediction has long been 35,000, and I would have predicted less had I known UCF would be 0-for-16 going into it.) If our student body is going to get psyched for UCF, and the general public is going to buy tickets for UCF, well then let's play UCF.
  7. The problem with judgments of this sort is that all the Really Good and Really Bad opponents are at the front of the schedule. I think we'll know more about how good this team is after games with the likes of Pittsburgh, West Virginia, and UConn.
  8. No. It'was pure extortion by a greedy and incompetent bowl director. USF was right not to pay it.
  9. Yeah, it's fun to see the "I have no clue what to do next and I just ate some bad cheese" face on the other sideline for a change, isn't it?
  10. You know, I'm a little confused about this myself. A talented signing like Hill should either be (a) redshirting or ( playing a lot. Getting occasional playing time in a deep receiver rotation seems like a waste of a year of eligibility.
  11. You know, I've been thinking, and I've been trying to figure out what bothers me about all this. And here it is: I'm sick and tired of OTHER PEOPLE telling us what our traditions should and shouldn't be. USF's traditions, whatever they may be, need to spring from the desires of USF's students, alums, fans, athletes, and leaders. Not columnists, politicians, and political entities that have no affiliation with our school.
  12. Or Louisville in 2003? I thought they were in the rankings at the time, or were close to it. And yes, the Seattle Bowl was willing to invite us in 2002 if we paid them a $1 million fee.
  13. Good Lord. As awful as those clowns have played, they have no right to look down on anyone. And that includes Youngstown State.
  14. I saw the "Golden Showers" sign on TV as well. I thought it pushed the bounds of good taste just a bit.
  15. UC Davis is no longer D-II. They are I-AA. Still, a bad loss for Stanford.
  16. Thanks for the note. Glad to see PSU doing well. With the rest of the Big East not looking invincible, we might end up having a good season.
  17. I doubt it very seriously. The game is not that high on the national radar. Maybe if we beat UofL though, the Miami game might get some interest. And welcome to the forum. Sit down, relax, talk Bulls sports.
  18. Please. He says that about every opponent, including FAMU last week and all three Charleston Southern games. Besides, the last time a team with a long losing streak (Army) came to RJS, they won. CJL is wise not to underestimate anyone.
  19. I disagree, I think USF needs to throw downfield more, just to keep the defense honest. If I was gameplanning against USF, I'd load up the front to stop the run, and beg Julmiste to try and beat me deep. USF's offense vs UCF was too one-dimensional to beat a quality defense like UofL. We must establish at least a threat of a long-passing game.
  20. EAT MOR KARDINIL. Inspired by Chick-Fil-A commercials.
  21. Forget "perception". It's all about conference standings, baby. Win seven Big East games, and we go to a major NYD bowl game. It's that simple. And the first one is this weekend.
  22. You wouldn't think that if you watched the UM@FSU game. Wright looked very good.
  23. I noticed that Kyle Bronson did all the kicking after Benzer missed a PAT and a FG. Is that a permanent change, I wonder?
