  1. I hope USF works with the City of Tampa to get 50th street widened to two lanes with a center turn lane before the OCS is built. Given the donor lots that will be close to the stadium will be most easily accessed from 50th and Holly (rather than 50th and Elm) it could be a bit of a bottleneck mixing donors with the general public who may not know where to turn.
  2. That is exactly what the Southwest Conference use to be. Southwest Conference - Wikipedia EN.WIKIPEDIA.ORG
  3. Dude... I never said anything about ONLY using Bull Run. Why not use BOTH roads and two options for donors? And if the choke point is the ticket scanning, add a second location: One on Elm Street and one on Bull Run. This kind of inefficiency will be more problematic when the football stadium opens, so ... as I said ... I hope USF learns some lessons from the traffic flow.
  4. Don't forget that USF played in an MTE with one game: the Orange Bowl Basketball Classic in Sunrise, Florida. So USF could have scheduled one more OOC game.
  5. Basketball scheduling is basically done in the spring/summer before a season starts. USF had a new coach coming in with a lot of new players, so there was clearly an effort made to ensure our OOC was not as strong as these others. Scheduling USF to face a top 50 program outside of the AAC would have been suicidal. The 2024 schedule will be a lot better.
  6. The schools will clearly exist... there will always be a need for post-secondary education and research. Those schools may no longer offer intercollegiate athletics... but the universities themselves, especially the public ones, will be around.
  7. FSU is getting out and going to a conference where they can make that back up in a few years. Going from the ACC to the Big 12 will very likely be a money-loser for schools like Louisville or Va Tech.
  8. Blocking access from Fowler -> Lot 6 is silly. Bull Run is two lines wide in each direction... those donors should be able to use Fowler, enter on Bull Run, and go to their spots. They should not be forced to use 50th street to Elm Street, where they have single lanes... especially if non donors think they can park on Sycamore from the same entrance.
  9. Now that's just silly. Hopefully lessons learned from these three games.
  10. No, but the main Sun Dome ... er Y.C. ... lots are far easier to access than Lot 6 ... but did they incoming divert traffic on Bull Run to prevent Lot 6 access?
  11. That means the losses to Maine and Central Michigan are Quad 1 wins for them. (It works retroactively)
  12. Elm Street is not the way to come in. Enter from Fowler as Alumni has two lanes in each direction.
  13. Beta 2 East 90-91 and 91-92 .... Beta 3 West 92-93. It needed to be replaced even then.
  14. Football is in the driver seat... and they are not really rivals in football. UNC and Duke would be happy to schedule their basketball matchup as needed... possibly even twice OOC if need be.
  15. Maine and CMU are both doing well in their respective conferences... I wonder what happens if they both win their tournaments to get the AQ. Could they get into the top 160 ??
  16. Actually, 2 more Blazers losses... if UAB and USF finished tied for 4th, they get the bye. USF's worth mathematical finish would be 13-5. UAB's mathematical best finish is 14-4... at 13-5, they still get in ahead of USF. So a 13-5 USF needs there to be a 12-6 UAB.
  17. 20 wins in the regular season is the most regular season wins for USF already. Total wins is within reach for sure. This was my error... for some reason I wrote 20 above, but then switched to 13 for this silly mistake: Total wins, however ... Gonna be hard to get 11 more wins. There are 4 more regular season games... only3 in AAC tourney because of byes. USF would have to get 4 more wins in the NCAAT just to tie... that's reaching the Final Four
  18. In 2019 we went 24-14 and won the CBI. 2019: 24 wins = most total wins in program history 2024: 13 wins = most conference wins in program history
  19. The author - Pete Fiutak - has been a USF champion for years. He thought the Big 12 was foolish to not add USF along with UCF...
  20. Welp. Maybe tomorrow. I suspect Army is part of the issue... making sure they are out of all of their contractual obligations.
  21. We barely draw 20k to games on Dale Mabry ... let alone 9+ hours away. LOL.
